I had dishwasher installed. It worked for one wash then stopped working. Waited a week for a repair man. After he left it worked for another wash. Has a new one installed yesterday and it turned on for the installation man (he tested it for about 2 mins). After he left it would not work.

Was not aware when I purchased this dishwasher that GE change the interior tub to 3 pieces which are siliconed together inside and out. The interior silicone broke and could not be fixed. I replaced it with a Whirlpool

Beautiful and quiet. We accepted delivery 12/16/2019 and now 8 months later it does not work. GE is hard to get in touch with and when you do, they are very polite but they do not have on-time communication with the companies they send out to repair. Ge says one thing and the repair company says another… repair to be made in 3 days only to find out they can not make it here for over 3 weeks.

This is my second GE slate dishwasher. I don’t know if the first one was defective or a lemon but I only had it for 5 years. After about 2.5 yrs the door hinges became so jacked up that the door itself separated and broke apart. I had to replace the door and pay an appliance guy to install the new door. Then after another 2.5 years the same thing happened. I didn’t want to buy the same dishwasher because I thought it was a design flaw but the salesman said he’s never heard of that happening. Since all my other appliances are GE Slate I had to get the same dishwasher or mismatch them. I went with the same dishwasher. I don’t feel comfortable rating the quality and value since my first one was garbage. I guess we’ll see. It is easy to use though.

Only used a few times so far. Very quiet and seems to clean well. A couple of things to note – it doesn’t automatically dry dishes you have to specify that in addition to wash cycle; the screws to screw in to our cabinets were too short so waiting for longer screws to come in and lastly it is recommended to use Finish. Once you figure all that out works great.
CMM1 –
This DW has many features that our last one did not. The bottle jets and orientation of the top rack do limit placing things like bowls and large cups in that area. The third rack is not as useful as I expected. It is very shallow and not all serving utensils or knives fit in the allotted slots. I just need to adjust how I do things.
I do like the little spray arm under the silverware on the bottom. That has made a notable improvement in cleaning on the cutlery.
Overall, it is as quiet as my last GE. The one hour cycle is a plus. I like that it tells you when it is washing on the front – that is a big improvement.
I do wish that it actually dried the dishes, Even on the dry boost cycles – everything is wet wet wet when we open the unit. To that end, it is no better than a Bosch.
I got the 5 year warranty from Geek Squad because my last dishwasher had two control boards and two pumps in 5 years and then the control panel died. For the price, the warranty extension is well worth the money.

Replaced an older Frigidaire with this one. I wanted a delayed start and taller baskets. This one didn’t disappoint. It’s super quiet. It also has more options than I need. Totally recommend.

This works fine and is good quality. Quiet and I like that the racks glide out smoothly. I think it would be better if it had another row of prongs on the bottom or I’ve had dishwashers where you could lay a row of prongs flat and out of the way. In the photo it said there is the 3rd rack, but there isn’t. I researched though and knew that before I bought it. Because there was such a shortage of appliances this one was available and I didn’t want to have to wait for the one that I really wanted. I’m in the process of switching all my appliances to this color. I like it.

I had this dishwasher less than 2 years. A year or so the trimming came off the door thankful it was under warranty. The dishwasher does not clean well. I have to rinse them really good before loading them in the dishwasher. It still does not clean. I had dishwasher of less value that works way better than this. I do not like how the racks are at the bottom not easy to load. It does not dry well either. It takes a long time to clean and dishes still not clean. I want to buy another dishwasher and still debating.

As a Total Tech member, the installation of the dishwasher should have been free, but the installers refused to install it claiming my countertops were too low. I had visitors coming and just wanted it installed, so I ended up having a local handyman install it at a cost of ~$400. He said that there was no reason why Best Buy couldn’t install it. They just didn’t want to. Overall, the dishwasher works ok, looks nice and is super quiet.
