We have used this oven/microwave for 2 weeks. There was a 3 month delay in delivery probably due to Covid virus. The features are numerous and a great help in the kitchen. The design is modern. However, we scheduled a GE tech to come out next week because the turntable does not always work when in microwave mode. I hope it is not indicative of further issues.

I really love this oven/microwave combo unit. The unit runs very quiet and the timer is loud enough to hear from a different room. I didn’t think I would like the knob for making selections but have found I really do like it. The microwave is nice and large. I have tried the microwave as an oven and it works great. I am definitely satisfied with this unit.

I got my Profile Microwave Oven combo installed last week. I have two problems that I am waiting to be resolved. One is the racks that are shipped for the oven. There are support rack rails that are installed on each side where the racks will go. However, I received qty 2 left side and qty 0 right side leaving me unable to install any rack to test or use my oven. Also, the bottom trim that are for cosmetic came in too long leaving a bowed shape when forcibly installed.
After an hour call with Best Buy where Best Buy could only order a whole replacement unit to be delivered 6 weeks later, the rep suggested I call GE Appliance Parts. When I called GE Appliance Parts and after talking to 2 different reps, I was transferred to GE Appliance as this needed warranty claim. Luckily, GE had right hand rail in stock which I needed. And, no left hand… perhaps, I am not the only one getting two left hand rail. Anyway, I was told the parts would ship in 3-5 business days. After a full week, I have yet to be able to use my oven. Microwave works well. Design is nice, and functionality seems much better. However, GE needs to really step up and get quality control in check. This isn’t acceptable.

both the oven and microwave have convection so things heat quickly and evenly. the microwave is so spacious you can cook certain things that wouldn’t normally be possible.
the control panel on top controls both the oven and microwave so that saves space and you don’t have to reset two clocks when the power goes out.

Was using the microwave oven and the unit just died.
Serviceperson said MULTIPLE panels burnt out so it would cost close to $1000 to fix. With no guarantee it won’t happen again. Apparently a known issue with this top of the line oven

Love the look of it. I find it difficult to navigate working both the upper and lower ovens at the same time. Maybe it is the learning curve, but it is not easy to figure out for me. Hard to distinguish if the settings you are using (or changing) is for the upper or lower oven. Wish there was an indicator to let you know.
The microwave is annoying in that you have to press the button so many times just to make it turn on… I mean, really, you have to press microwave, then individually set what you want to do (by time, by weight, defrost, cook, etc), then how long you want to microwave it (only in 15 sec. intervals), then what power you want to cook with, then finally hit Start! (Saving grace is that there is a “add 30 sec” button, which is the only thing you have to just press once!)

Replaced an older GE Profile unit with this one. Didn’t realize the top unit is both a microwave and convection oven until after I bought it. Very handy. Still getting used to using the dial in the middle for various settings but I think I’ll like it.

GE left off a few things that we feel should be basic. 1. Microwave – We are limited to cooking in 15-second increments. I find this very disappointing (not known before we purchased). We use the 10 or 12 second setting for many cooking needs. What millennials chose 15 seconds as the minimum time increment – how much cooking experience did they have in the basement 2. Microwave – The end of cycle beep or notification -“Off or Normal” – totally inadequate; it is so quiet that if we are attending to other details of the impending meal, we do not know the microwave function has been completed; also, it does not repeat or remind or us that our requested operation has been completed – major factor if we knew before buying

For my small family, this oven makes the most sense. We only need one oven and wanted to get the microwave off of the counter to have more space for food prep. My two daughters love baking. I also like how the controls work for both units.

I have Model #: PT7800SHSS. Appliance was installed by builder. Right at 2 years the Magnetron burned up on microwave (see pics). The microwave was used almost exclusively for making popcorn. The Magnetron listed in manual has been changed to a new part number which suggests a known issue. I will contact GE in the morning to see what they are willing to do to stand behind product. As it stands now. There is only a Limited 1 yr warranty on parts and service (which exp 1 yr ago, how convenient). The service appt is $119 to show up. Parts and Labor additional. Part is listed at ~$100. Labor will be at least that much. That estimate is as long as nothing else burned up in the process. I will update this review after talking with GE. If GE does not work with me on this, I will not bother updating and will instead purchase a higher quality appliance.

This unit has been nothing but problematic since purchase. Microwave continues to not heat, repair tech fixes it and 6 months to a year later same issue. Very glad we got the geek squad repair service, it has more than paid for itself. Not Best Buy fault. This is a GE problem, very disappointing to pay this much only to have to continually repair.

So far it’s doing okay. We miss some of the options from our last microwave, a different brand. This was “in stock” and we only waited a month, as opposed to waiting 4 months.
Not a big fan of the door opening down, instead of sideways and it makes a rattling sound when in use.
Would I buy it again? All things being equal, no. But it is just a microwave and it does what it is supposed to do.

Average quality. Came with missing part. Then after two days of using, started to make loud noise while using microwave. Told could be fire hazard so returned and got Kitchen Aid product. Far better quality than GE. Had GE before. Sadly disappointing quality….may not go back to GE again…

We upgraded our GE Profile microwave and standard oven (non convection) to to this single unit convection, microwave (include standard convection heating). I like to cook and wanted convection and the convenience of second oven when entertaining or meal calls cooking two items at the same time.
This unit works great. The convection features has several selections depending on how and what you are cooking, so heating oven space is consistent every time I use it.
Microwave/convection also works very well. The microwave feature heats quickly and the pull down drawer is more convenient for getting item in and out compared to other microwave with side-pull door.
On both oven features the control buttons and one dial are laid out very well and easy to understand.
Here are a few items I would change to improve overall use.
When operating top oven in microwave feature-there are a lot of steps just to heat an item for a short time. I would count about 5 sequences just to turn on over for 30 seconds. This should be review and reduced to 2 steps.
Next, the digital display should be larger-its difficult to see from across the kitchen.
There should be two timers (hey – its two ovens I’m working with here). The last GE Profile over had wifi enabled, I would add wifi to this unit.
Last, the audible sounds should have choices of sounds. The only sound is really annoying.
Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase and received great service from Best Buy.

This is an attractive replacement for my old white GE combo oven and fits perfectly in the same space. The controls all work well and are easily understood. The only issue I have is that when I set the oven to heat to a certain temperature, the beeper goes off well before the oven reaches that temp. I have to put an oven thermometer in it and check often until it reaches the target temp. This is not what should happen.

I had my old GE wall oven/microwave in white for over 20 years. It was still working, but I wanted to update to stainless steel. I love it. It looks beautiful. The stainless steel finish on GE products is so nice and shiny, unlike the stainless steel finish on my refrigerator by another manufacturer. Moving the oven shelves is a little tricky. I haven’t tried the convection process in the oven or microwave. Because the microwave door pulls down, it’s sometimes difficult to reach into it, especially to wipe down the inner walls. Overall, this is a fabulous oven.

The GE profile is an excellent product. Chose Best Buy to support the smaller store compared to some of the others. Been using it now for a while and it’s so much more advanced than our previous oven/microwave combination. Quieter, more features, and attractive. Ease of purchase excellent, product is excellent, but beware with delivery. If you live between two stores as we do (Cottonwood, AZ) the Prescott store services that area. It took 4 times to get the item delivered so there were 3 days waiting at home for the delivery to occur, which it didn’t. The fourth time the install was professional, but the inconvenience and the lost time at work the previous three times was more than frustrating. So if you live an hour away from the store you may want to consider purchasing from a store that is closer to you so the delivery is when they say it it going to be. Was provided a gift card for my inconvenience, but did not get the installation fee waived, even though on the phone it was promised.

So far so good. Previous wall oven combo died. Was a little worried that this unit would fit into the same space as it is a little deeper but my concerns were unfounded. Only complaints I have is the microwave door opens downward rather than sideways, this makes it awkward getting things out of the microwave if you are short and you have to press a lot of buttons/options if you just want to reheat a cup of coffee.
