    After having used this microwave 3 years a door switch went out $100. Ten months later the entire control panel was deemed to need replacing @ $487… No thanks

    No issues. Easy to install using same bracket that was part of original GE Profile Microwave that die after 12 years. Takes two people to keep it balanced so yo can get the back accurately in the bracket groove and get the the top of microwave lined up with the holes in cabinet bottom. Needed to drill two new holes in cabinet bottom. Was worried about the dial but liked the microwave. Turns out I had nothing to worried about. Dial is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Only downside is that minimum cook time is 15 seconds.

    Microwave looks great and works fine. Pretty easy to use. If you have a space with unconventional dimensions, this microwave has additional filler component accessories. A little expensive compared to comparable models from other brands.

    Special mention about the Geek Squad installation team. They did a fantastic job!

    Not a fan of black interior, hard to see spatter.
    Knob control adds at least 2 steps to start the simplest of heating something up. Either that or you just have to punch the “add 30 sec” button several times. Single digit keypad was much easier in my old unit. touch buttons have to be “firmly” pressed. Wanted to stay with “Profile” unit like my old one. Should have bought the cheaper model. Looks nice, better exhaust fan and lighting. Contrary to GE repairman, new mounting brackets had to be installed due to very slightly differentattachment points.

    Piece of trash. When it is windy, the microwave piece on the top connects to the damper making a rattle noise. The store told me that all new ones making noises like that. I had the same GE before for 15 years and never had any rattling noise.

    Very strange layout for controls. Had the GE Cafe previously and was very intuitive. This model has buttons and a knob control which makes setting timing slightly more convoluted than pressing touch pad digits. Otherwise it heats food up perfectly and fit in the same size opening as the GE Cafe it replaced.

    The microwave’s buttons are a little less responsive to the touch compare to the one it replaces. Other than that it heats up the food real quick.

    Door and handle feel lightweight, our last GE MW with convection, these felt sturdier and more premium. However if this one lasts longer, then I’m satisfied. Installer was the best part of this actually, he was a total pro.

    Have waited to write this review so I could use this appliance for awhile. This is my 3rd set of Profile kitchen sets in 24 years. I have always loved them. This micro though is a little weird with the dial instead of digital display for cook time . It does add ease to getting to your desired cook time but it goes in 15 second intervals. However, I think GE got the message with all the problems with the control panel that was all digital. As for the previous one I owned, it died early, I do a lot of stove top cooking and boil a tea pot several times a day. The steam would make the microwave handle and display so hot, that we could sometimes not touch it. It would make sense that the steam fried the panel. Hopefully, the new one we bought will last for many more years.

    Very nice microwave until it breaks few weeks after warranty is over. I don’t think it’s isolated case becaudr the part I need is OUT OF STOCK.
    600$ part is 177. Would have been 777$ plus medications for headache. 600$ a year for microwave seems expensive

    Our newlike GE Profile Microwave is fabulous. Not only does it work wonderful, it is also a great fit replacing a 2010 space that our old GE Profile Microwave was. Fabulous purchase. Easy to use

    I recently purchased this GE Profile microwave. I have had it for a month now. It does a very good job of heating the food evenly. Unlike my previous microwave, its very well lit inside while the food is being heated. If I had to be nit picky about anything, it’s that the door feels a little light. I’m not afraid it’s going to break, but it’s just an observation. Final thought, I would recommend this product.

    Product is good but installation is incorrect, microwave is not level and makes a grinding noise when operating. I paid for installation and need to have it re- installed correctly
