The controls take a bit to get use to but once you do the system is great

  2. Todd

Very reliable and dependable product. It is manufactured from quality components that will last lifetime.

  3. Brandon

We bought this because we didnt like the standard microwave and trim kit over our wall oven. This is the same width as our oven (also a GE) and makes it really look like a built in double oven. The fact that it is both an oven and a microwave is also a bonus.

Product delivered and installed 7/2/20 and is replacement for same unit delivered and installed 5/29/20. First unit had damage to stainless steel finish, replacement is damage free. I was able to use damaged unit until new one arrived and found this model to be very quiet, attractive and loaded with cooking features. I like that oven light comes on during cooking and am able to see heated item clearly through glass door. Only negative is that clock display does not show continuously, shows only when oven in use, but since I have a new built-in wall oven below it with continuous display, it is not a big deal. This unit replaced similar 20-yr old 30″ GE Advantium microwave and thought it would be a perfect fit, however, new model is about 4″ shorter in height and left a 3-3/4″ gap above unit in my cabinet showing, as dimensions have changed and I missed it. GE does not have an offer for “exact fit” on this unit and should, but does on Built-in Wall Ovens, so I will have to find solution for gap on my own. Double check your dimensions before purchasing. Recommend product otherwise.

Arrived on time with good technician that professionally removed the old and installed and tested pretty fast. Large room inside with large dishes that we could not use in the older unit, and way faster cooking.

  6. ShopGal

I’m very happy with the decision to purchase the full microwave. Appears to have a larger interior than the microwaves that use the surround trim kit. I haven’t used all the functions after two years because there are so many. Works great. Looks fabulous above the wall oven! Stainless interior has great cleanup and sparkles. Definitely recommend.

  7. gotfan

Looks very nice and has extensive cooking menus. Really like the speed cook features over traditional microwave. It does have issues though. When it gets warm it has an extremely loud buzzing sound. The sensor cooking also does not seem to work nearly as well as a normal microwave. Expect better at this price.

  8. Weatherford

I am so excited that GE Profile had a built in microwave to match the rest of the series for my upgrade however I am a bit disappointed at how much it costs. Nevertheless it’s perfect and I haven’t had any issues yet. I highly recommend.

Excellent product. Works well and smooth. Quiet function.

This replaced an 8 year old Advantium. It’s pretty much the same. Does an excellent job of cooking. Two complaints: 1) pre-selected times are in 15 second intervals so you can’t choose 20 or 25 seconds, 2) BIG COMPLAINT: There is no display clock except when the door is open. Their owners manual tries to blame that on the Dept of Energy regulations. Here is the truth: The standby power budget is legislated 2.2 watts. That’s enough to get an iPhone to browse the web. Way more than enough to power a small screen with no touch functionality and a trivial program.
It’s bad engineering by GE. Either they picked a power-hungry display unit or they failed to program the CPU to use its low power mode. They just failed at the task of designing the embedded controls.

I purchased this microwave 4 years ago, and had to get it repaired after year 2, and now it’s not working again! For what I paid for this appliance, I would not expect to have this many issues in the first few years!!
