In all honesty when the temperature reachs 104 a bucket of ice water will do !
The AC worked when it powered up, like it should.
The design is a little more pleasing to the eye than most portable AC units.
As for Best Buy, they were excellent in their delivery service.
The item was ordered for me from overseas as a gift. Due to the overseas order there was some slight difficulty, but the online adviser knew exactly what to do – excellent.

Con: the drain port is next to the electric cord which are both located behind the unit. Water next to electric is concerning. The unit is very heavy and when it is hooked up and set in its place, it is very difficult to get to the back of the machine. That drain port is also at the very bottom of the unit making it troublesome for people with limited bending mobility or knee issues to reach. Plus in order to drain the water you have to have something to drain it into which requires the unit to be lifted up enough from the floor in order to get a bowl or basin underneath the spout. Again the unit is very heavy. It has wheels but they are very small and do not roll well on carpeted floors. It does not have a fan to pull outside air inside unfortunately. Cooling temperature can only be set for a low of 64 degrees. I like my room to be 60.
Pros: It was a great investment and I am glad I have it. Nothing is perfect but at least I don’t have to suffer in 80 degree temperatures next summer.

When operating in a hot room or when outside temp is very hot, the unit produces a tremendous amount of condensation that blows out of the unit with the cold air and all over your floor. The only option to prevent this is to allow it to drain constantly, but the drain is so close to the ground, you need to elevate the unit to put a bucket under the drain (unless you have a way to run a house to a sink or outside from the drain on the back of the unit). Instructions recommend a 1 quart container vs a bucket. In my situation the unit filled a 5 gallon bucket in 5 hours, so a quart container would require near constant observation to prevent overflow. Aside from that it blows very cold air but warms the room up because of the heat it produces which offsets a lot of its benefits. In short not a terrible unit but definitely more of a hassle than it’s worth in very hot climates.

Arrived defective. I had the 350 feet unit running for 3 months before it gave up. This one came in defective.
GE warranty requires you buy a new one at from your own pocket, then they send you a check in 30 to 120 days.
What a joke. No repair option, just disposable garbage. I am out of my money until these clowns send me my money. that is if I fulfill every step… Mails are being sent to my address, steps to follow. Bunch of hoops to jump through!
The fan is rubbing against the plastics, stopping it from spinning. Making all kind of grinding noises.

the air is cold, but did not reach even 75 F, on a small room, it stay on 89 even when the Ac was program to 69 F, Also I had a broken Ac, but am sure if you use it somewhere where is not so cold, you will enjoy the results, Dont get me wrong its a good product

If your room can support a window unit I would go with one of them instead. These units suck air in from inside the home, causing negative pressure. They are not very efficient. I window unit will pull air from the outside and avoid this problem.

So far so good. Needed to replace a device in small server room and its been working great so far. Been running 2 months nonstop and havent had to drain. Air coming out has some force behind it and super quiet. Only drawback is you’re not able to independantly direct the airflow.

A: it’s fairly loud compared to similar units
B: it’s slightly overpriced

Works okay, but is power hungry. It uses a lot of amps, and there is better AC units with newer tech if you do some homework on it. Get one with a inverter compressor which draws less amps and is more quiet. Also get one with a dual hose that brings air in from outside and expells the hot air out the other hose/tube. It’s much more efficient and won’t turn your room into a vacuum and be fighting itself as it tries to cool like most portable AC units including this one. I returned it and went with a Midea that had the features I mentioned, but Whynter also makes a good one with those features.

I would personally stay away from this specific style air conditioner . It might work great as dehumidifier but for cooling a small room it was the worst.
Opted for a window unit instead.
