I thought , the installation of the hook was paid for. I had to purchase an over priced extension cord from the installer.

Long story short, I shipped this item to store which took over 3 weeks.. After it finally arrived, I opened the box to find the front of the hood dented, with the separate metallic pipe cover also badly dented. There’s no way i would keep something like this so, it was an automatic return. This was a complete waste of time coming and driving back to the store..

so far seems to be a reasonably good product. however, was expecting it to be quieter than the old model, but unfortunately is is just as loud as the 20-year-old hood that it replaced. This one
vents properly, testament to both the product and to good installation.

I would give this hood a higher rating except for the terrible design when you need to replace the halogen lights. We carefully followed the “push up and turn counter-clockwise” directions and the bulb broke off, leaving the bulb base still attached. Need to know the correct wattage for bulb replacement (35 or 50 watts).
