My daughter bought a fancy expensive range hood. Okay does the same exact job ours does. The only diff oh well, she takes longer to clean hers because her vent goes to the ceiling, her husband had a hard and long time putting it together, hers is loud, and people always ask what is that noise.

The light isn’t as bright as I thought it would be and the top of the hood gets hot when the light is on for more than 10 minutes. The owners manual says that for recirculation installs you have to use a charcoal filter and that one is provided with this model but it was not included.
Overall, it does the job I guess. Still need to get a filter for it so we’ve only used the fan once or twice but it worked well the few times it was used.

Doesn’t really deserve a one even. Fairly flimsy for the price … light is very poor and got really hot … fan does just ok. The worst is the design of the vent … the location of it is just totally wrong!! It’s only about 1/2 in from the back of the unit …. whereas the old hood vent was 1 1/2 inches from the back. Installed exactly as shown and stated in the instructions on a recessed bottom cabinet, so I had to use the brackets. It would not line up with the screws from the old hood. Put the brackets on, hung the unit only to find out the rectangular vent was snugly flush with the back of the cabinet, making it physically impossible to connect the adapter on the vent duct from the roof. So I had to take it down, move the brackets as far forward as I could … which made them too long, sticking out from under the cabinet, which then had to be trimmed off. Even the screws provided were just barely long enough to hold (so far!)Also, the cutouts were very poor … had to bend the hood up in several places just to get it out, and only one screw hole for the rectangle vent. The thing is, by the time you get to where you see the results of the poor vent placement … it’s too late to take it back or do anything about it!

In upgrading my kitchen I found that the GE range hood was a good fit and replacement for the previous one. Installation was easy and the stainless steel enhanced the other appliances in the kitchen.

This range hood looks great over our stove, and the fan is relatively quiet. My only wish is that the light would be a little more warm in tone. I think the light cover is what causes a stark white illumination. Other than that, however, it’s was certainly a worthwhile purchase.

The hood is slimmer than the one it replaced, It is a standard fit and fit perfectly above the stove; The hood matches the appliances and does not seem to fingerprint smudge heavily. The fan is quiet and the light puts out enough light to illuminate the stove and the kitchen area around the stove. I like this hood as it is a great replacement for the original hood I replaced. The hood does an efficient job of pulling the fumes out of the kitchen.

Great for the price. If you keep the light on for too long it gets really hot and you have to avoid touching the top of it. Other than that it is a great one and it does the job.

Looks good and was very easy to install. Pretty straight forward. The range hood vent we had before this install was an older version of the exact range vent, so the dimensions were the same. Love the stainless steel look. And the fan is much quieter than the version we had. The only thing is that it didn’t come with a power cord, so we had to take the one from our older version and connect to this one, so if someone is adding this to their kitchen and not replacing one they need to buy a power cord kit. Other than that, we love it!!

Looks and performs nice but has super sharp corners. Sliced my finger open (needed stitches) when cleaning under the hood. Would exchange but past the return date. Will buy special gloves when cleaning this bad boy in the future. Be warned…
