This is a great GPS and for the size you can’t beat itI have a Ford Escape and I have Navigation, but nothing beats Garmin, I have the 76 also, but I returned the 86 because using it with the bean bag just isn’t good, you have to buy an adapter to make it work and I don’t like the windshield mount.

We wanted something that would work when we didn’t have service on our cell phones. So far it has worked everywhere we have gone. Went with the bigger screen so much easier to see.

Absolutely wonderful product. I tells you to turn left or right instead of go east ro west. I don’t know directions so left and right turns notices is best.

Clear and easy to use, very responsive and quick “boot up” time. Pretty much ready to go after being set up and updated from the moment you can put your car into gear. Can warn of you speeding if you want, and can be set to avoid things like dirt roads and making you take U-turns by preferences settings.
Does operate on its own, but the bluetooth audio features of it relies on a cell phone. I was unable to make its bluetooth connect directly with my car stereo bluetooth as the car does not connect exactly the same way a cell phone does in this way.
It does have a built in speaker, so a cell phone is not necessary for it to operate, but may be necessary for certain advanced features and/or updates, so be sure their app will work on your Android or iPhone.

it is a good GPS as far as I was able to use it but I returned it because it would not connect to any of the devices I have since it was specifically made for iPhone or iPad. I use Android devices so I was not able to really use it to the full extent.
I would recommend it if you use iPhone or iPad devices.

Not worth the money. I purchased to use on our month long tv trip. It took me down roads that were closed. When I compared it to my apple map on my I phone there was no comparison. Apple Maps won hands down.

I upgraded from a 71. I input routes in Trip Planning for up to 80 addresses. When I imported the routes from 71 the 86 model broke them down into routes to not exceed 30. What a pain. Now if I want to add some address in part 1 or 2 I have to delete from 2 and put into part 3m, Delete some from one and put in part 2.
Even in the new model there are lots of places where the map puts the address at the street behind or around the corner. When tell it go to that spot, it gives an address on the other side of the street so it says “on the right” when it’s on the left. Other places it tells you there is a road when there is none and never has been. 95% of the time it’s all correct, but the 5% can mess you up or the driver I am training.

This device worked great for me when I was in a pinch. I am a delivery driver working away from my home city and the device was very helpful. Great suggestions for restaurants and other places. Clear, loud voice calls out turns over loud engine.

Love the Display. Love how it works once you find the address!!!!! Four square and trip advisor still have difficult time finding businesses/ hotels if not spelled exactly the way Garmin wants it. Sometimes I do 5 or 6 searches to find what I want. Nice new feature, it beeps when speed limit drops. What’s up ahead is still difficult to set the way you want it.

This gps is amazing!!! Garmin did a wonderful job upgrading the maps and the traffic features. It’s so convenient to have real-time traffic updates and alternate route suggestions, especially during rush hour.
