    I like the Garmin stand-alone GPS. I did have trouble updating it to current 2023 maps since it was released in 2019. Very clear and precise.

    I love the size it’s not too big or small. I was supplied by the screens brightness and sound! Both very good when it’s plugged in. If you forget your charger it still does the job! It once took me the long way a route but it might’ve been bc the roads were updated.

    The device was missing the base to hold the GPS screen in place on the dashboard. I returned it and the clerk advised me to purchase the Garmen GPS at Amazon.

    It works perfectly! I have had wonderful success with Garmin for many years. They are simply the best when it comes to Automotive GPS units. I currently have 2 of DriveSmart 65’s. I would have more but I only have two vehicles!

    I like Google maps but if you don’t want to tie up your phone, and kill your battery while navigating, this is a great option. You can send locations to this unit from your phone also.

    This portable GPS is running well. Its maps don’t seem to be as up-to-date as those of Google Maps, but then google maps doesn’t attach to the windshield. They work well enough, and it’s reassuring for the person I bought this for, who only wants a flip phone anyway. The only issue that we’ve noticed is that, if you turn it off while the car is running, it freezes up the dashboard screen, and you actually have to turn the car off and turn it back on again to unfreeze it.

    The screen is very easy to use, you don’t need small fingers to type in information. Screen is very clean and when needing to get off at exit or to move to another lane it shows very clearly and early enough so you don’t miss the lane change. I have had a Garmin before but this one is truly the best design and features.

    My old Garmin died and this is newer and bigger. I’m not real familiar with it yet, but it has gotten me to where I need to go a couple of times so far. It’s unfortunate that the new Garmin cannot pick up the addresses and locations that were in my former Garmin. I have to input them all again.
