    IT is a beautiful color.The buttons to control it are not easy.I just press the bottom silver button & turn the dial to 7 minutes to heat a bowl of soup.Its a small space inside..so you have to be careful taking out large bowls.The top of the microwave gets hot on the top exterior of the unit.It does work ok though.I had a.9 size Nostalgia one before…the galanz is a .7 in size…but its less expensive than the Nostalagia.It does have that retro look i like.

    15-Day Return Policy
    Galanz Warranty Process

    Since I was out of town when my family received it, we hadn’t used it much before BestBuy’s 15-day return policy ran out. Instead, I have to go through the warranty process with Galanz to “return” the item.

    Let me tell you, you don’t want to deal with Galanz’s warranty. Their customer service is great, but cutting the plug off to mail it back to them on your own dime? No exchanges, only refunds (minus any tax and fees of course)?

    We’re out $10 because their product was faulty.

    I won’t be able to bring myself to get small appliances from BestBuy without a 30 day return policy to back them up, and I definitely can’t justify buying from Galanz again when their warranty doesn’t “make me whole” after receiving a defective product.

    Product Use

    Learning the dial and buttons on this microwave took more time than if I’d just gotten a boring-looking one, but it wasn’t hard to master.

    It also ended up being pretty easy changing from our 1000 watt microwave to this 700 watt one. I thought it was going to be a pain, but it wasn’t.

    Product-wise, keep in mind that because of the dial, this microwave won’t be as accurate as others. You can only set cook times in multiples of 10 seconds, so cook times have to end in 0 (so there goes reheating my pizzas for 45 seconds).

    That honestly didn’t bother me much. I never ended up with burnt food with having to go a little over time with the heating.

    It looks super cute. The inside is white and clean looking–a little smaller than I was used to, but I never had issues fitting anything into it.

    The colors Best Buy shows in their images are fairly true to life (for the surf green anyway). I didn’t find that to be always true with other retailers, so they have that going for them.

    (PS: Don’t use the word f*art in a review. It’s “inappropriate language.”)

    It’s hard to find green color. Most microwave colors are black, white or silver. I am so glad that I have this. Manual was little bit complicated it at first.

    30 days in and this microwave stopped working. It no longer had any power. When I called Best Buy they said I couldn’t return it and/or they wouldn’t replace it. However they did credit my account $25.00 for the inconvenience. Also, luckily the manufacturer did a full refund. The set (microwave and fridge) are extremely cute and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them but I was bummed out that after a handful of times the microwave stopped working.

    Love our small retro microwave! It’s cute on the counter and works as expected. The dial goes up in 10 second increments so if you’re wanting more precision, this might not be what you want. I love it! Use for mainly beverage making, reheating leftovers.

    Cute as a button: totally, “retro chic”. My only issue is that it’s not as powerful as, say, a 1000 watt microwave, so you have to keep pressing the button for 30-second increments. Other than that, it’s totally charming, and will bring a smile to your face 🙂 And the color: well, I have other items in my kitchen that match its “baby bluemarine” hue, so it’s all good–a fun purchase!

    Bought as a temporary appliance during kitchen renovations. Heats really well. Inside is smaller than other microwaves so it might not fit an ice cream container but works great for most things.

    Its definitely not a eye sore. It goes with our kitchen perfectly. Besides looks, there is no keypad, you have to turn the knob to add 10 seconds. Power, it is very weak. Popcorn takes about 6min, heating up food takes about 2 or 3 trys at 5min to get all of it warm
