We bought this convection micro as a complementary match to our new Gallery induction range convection oven. We had it in mind that this convection micro would be adequate for our needs in lieu of a double oven. We tried to bake a couple of potatoes and a green bean casserole, but the food was considerably undercooked for the standard cooking times at 350F and 425F. We then confirmed with our own oven thermometer that these temperatures were never reached over the cooking time allotted. We contacted a repair specialist who spent two hours on the phone with Frigidaire technical staff who then admitted that the highest temperature attainable was around 350F over several hours even though there are several panel settings available above this up to 425F. The microwave portion operated O.K., but my popcorn test proved that my old Whirlpool was far superior. The popcorn setting on the Frigidaire (3 mins. cook time) plus an additional minute just started to turn some popped kernels a golden brown. This cook time resulted in 40+ unpopped kernels. My old Whirpool after 2 mins. 20 secs. had 10+ unpopped kernels. In short, the microwave portion took longer than I was used to and was less efficient. I believe there is probably some penalty in microwave performance when you must engineer a marriage of electrical convection cooking with microwave cooking in a dimensional box which must fit above a standard 30″ range. Think twice about purchasing this relatively new on the market convection micro. My model no. had an “A” after the model no. descriptor (FGBM15WCVF A). I could never find out from customer service what this really designated. If this designates an engineering design configuration which is still being worked through, there could be some other modified revisions our there. I just have two words “Buyer Beware”.

Purchased 2 years ago and it has stopped working. Blows out my breaker on any outlet I try. Very disappointed. For $600 I would think it would last more than 2 years.

Looks great. Very quiet. Clock LED light is powerful, it is handy when I go to the kitchen in the middle of the night for a snack (I know I should not do that!).
I like the convection function. It works almost as well as my regular oven, I used it a few times already when my oven was baking something else at different temperature.

Love the look. Very happy with this product. Hoping it will last a long time as I have used it for 3 months now.

We did not even remove it from its box. We picked up the microwave from Best Buy and it was loaded into my SUV by a Best Buy associate. Before I removed it from my SUV, I opened the top of the box to get the installation instructions. I immediately notice that the glass turn table was shattered. There was no apparent damage to the outside box. I returned it to BB and it was removed by a BB associate. Awaiting replacement.

We purchased this for the convection feature, period. We had a perfectly good microwave already. The convection feature is not good. We put the rack in with a fairly accurate glass oven thermometer. Set the temperature to 425 degrees. Preheat end notified us at about 200 degrees. Put in 10 chicken wings on a small baking sheet. Took 30 minutes to get to 300 degrees. At 45 minutes it was slightly higher, 310 degrees, and we gave up. It did heat the wings OK at that point. But they were pre-cooked. Not sure I would trust it with anything raw.

Love this microwave – first one I’ve every used that doesn’t blow-up the butter. I also baked 4 small loaves of banana bread in the convection oven. Can out perfect!

Doesn’t work. Waiting for a replacement. Very disappointed

This microwave has a sleek, clean look. I have only used the microwave and it works excellent. I’m looking forward to trying the convention setting.

It took over 5 months to arrive but it seems to be worth the wait. The design matches well with our Frigidaire stove and the convection works well for items too small to bother making in our oven. The only issue is the microwave power output is only 900 watts so things do not heat quickly and require stirring more to distribute the heat throughout the food. All in all, very happy with the product and the installers were top notch, too.

Slim-fry is a joke. Works, sort of, as a convection oven. Maximum temperature attained is about 350. Using oven thermometer, actual interior temp is 25 degrees lower than setting. So brownies and baked goods will turn out, but it takes 99 minutes + 20 minutes to cook a whole 4.5 lb chicken set on 375. It is great for reheating french fries and other fried foods, LOL

Looks great mounted over our induction range.
Have not used all features yet, first thing we noticed was the door window was situated a bit higher than the last microwave we had making it difficult to view the contents inside.
Otherwise very satisfied with performance and looking forward to explore all the available features
