NeverendingNightmare –
The review you need to read if you care about the safety of yourself and your family.
This Frigidaire stove model is # FCRG3052AS.
The stove had electrical issues upon delivery. 6 months and 4 stoves later it is clear
Frigidaire/Electrolux DOES NOT CARE about their customers or quality of their products. They are selling faulty units KNOWINGLY.
The Electrolux company currently owns Frigidaire, Tappan, Kelvinator and Gibson appliance brands.
The first stove we got had a never ending BUZZING sound from the circuit board. Which is scary as you dont want your gas range to have electrical issues. Also this stove has an ELECTRIC broiler which they dont tell you on any site they sell this product on. And they do not show you the low hanging electric coil from the top of the oven in the pictures. Be aware that this stove has electrical issues, and an electric broiler that hang low from top of the oven.
So Frigidaire/Electrolux sent a repair guy out twice, the electric issues in the stove are WELL KNOWN by the company. It is a design/manufacture flaw with circuit board and wiring. Replacing the circuit board with a new one may make the stove WORSE. The guy tried to replace the board but the new one was louder and had more issues than the original one in the unit. He called Frigidaire about the issue and the rep wasn’t surprised at all and explained that it is a very well known issue and that Frigidaire hasnt even attempted to fix it with their stoves. The stove was deemed “non-repairable” saying its a known issue and they will send a replacement stove because the issue cannot be fixed. They knew this was a known issue but had to waste my time and the repairman’s time TWICE in an attempt to fix something they know is NOT REPAIRABLE.
Now BESIDES the electrical issues the “push to turn” knobs dont always need PUSHED to turn on. So imagine my surprise when I accidentally bumped a knob with my hip walking through the kitchen for the knob to turn and the gas to start flowing out of a burner. I realized it fairly quickly and turned it off. So far we have a stove with known electrical issues and knobs that will turn without being pushed. What would happen if a spark is caused by the electrical issues paired with the gas flowing? Well anyone can figure out what a DANGEROUS combination that is.
SO the first 2 replacement stoves they sent looked like they fell out of a truck and one was worse looking like it was dropped out of a 2nd story window. Needless to say due the severe damage of the units i refused to accept them. There is ZERO REASON for them to send a damaged unit. I called and talked to a manger about the 2nd stove also being damaged and the extent of the damage. Not only did she seem annoyed that I refused a “less than perfect” looking stove, she told me to accept the next stove they sent out even if its damaged and that they will ATTEMPT to send a repair guy out to replace the damaged parts. I told her absolutely not and I expect to get what i paid for and said I will not accept a stove that is damage because i shouldn’t have to. I paid an arm and a leg for this stove and I expect the stove to be in perfect condition. Do not let them pressure you into accepting damaged units, that isn’t okay and you do not have to accept a product that looks like it was used as a boat anchor. Also dont expect professional people to deliver and install your replacement unit. They only go through third party installers and pick the one that they can pay the least. They only care about money so dont be surprised when your installer accepts a damaged unit from the pick up location, or drops your unit on a dirty blanket to drag it around your house or for the delivery driver to damage the unit himself because he didnt know how to strap it in his truck or how to cut the box open..theres a dotted line on where to cut the box open plain as day just so you know..
After 3 bad stoves and being told this lie or that lie, dealing with horrible installers( we had to take work off one day because the installer didn’t want to get up in the morning. He then damaged the “new” unit further to top it off), constantly being transferred from this person to that person, from Frigidaire corporate to Electrolux corporate all while having a dangerous stove in my home…. SIX MONTHS of this and yeah ill admit i was unbelievably angry.
Here comes stove number 4! It arrived in PERFECT condition cosmetically.
Before they hooked up the gas lines i had them plug in the stove because if it has the same electrical issue as the one i have, i dont want it. The entire point of the replacement was to send me a unit WITHOUT electrical issues. Which is going to be hard when they are aware of the issue their stoves have but whatever.
So we plug in the stove with just the clock running. Oh yeah the buzzing from the electrical issues from the circuit board of this stove was way louder than the one i want. The delivery drivers seemed quite concerned about the sound. It wasn’t 3 minutes later when POP … The stove surged and tripped the circuit in our home.
So the new stove that looked perfect tripped the circuit in my home with just the clock running. Unbelievable! The original stove didnt trip the circuits.
So here we are with two stoves sitting in my kitchen. 6 months later, 4 stoves later and we call Frigidaire and explain the situation. We were told they will fix this somehow and hopefully we can get a full refund.
The drivers took BOTH STOVES away. So here I am with no stove in my home.
Now a few days and many calls later I have no stove and i just want a refund to end this nightmare. But a refund is not possible.
A refund request at this point should be perfectly reasonable and acceptable… but no, they will NOT ISSUE A REFUND.
They have two solutions for us:
They said they can send a replacement unit again…. and again and AGAIN AND AGAIN! It will be never ending.
Solution number 2 is: They said they can do a rebate after I buy another stove of equal or LESSER value.
So here we are in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, i’m not working and we are struggling. We have been in a nightmare from Electrolux due to their dangerous stoves… and Im suppose to come up with all this money to try and get a different model stove made by electrolux? In hopes a different model might not be a piece of junk?
Id then have to send them copies of everything from where i bought the new stove and blah blah, and then they will look at the paperwork and SHOULD send us a rebate refund on the price BUT WE MUST get a Frigidaire, Tappan, Kelvinator or Gibson brand stove as electrolux owns those brands.
Well we dont have the money to go out and buy a new stove. We don’t have a stove at all right now and after 4 units, there is no hope that they will send us anything that is safe and usable. So far its been a 6 month nightmare and it doesn’t look like it will be ending anytime soon.
Ive shed many tears over this situation. It was a bad decision to get a Frigidaire stove and I regret that decision everyday.
They only want your money, they do not care if their stoves are dangerous and faulty.
Do not by a Frigidaire stove or any stove brand owned by Electrolux. There is a very high chance what you get will be a piece of junk and any replacement they send you will also be a piece of junk.
It’s not worth the risk. Save your money.

I just used the broiler for the first time and am disappointed. This is a gas range, however the broiler is a weak performing 110v electric item than would not sear meat on the high setting in the highest rack position. This broiler is in no way comparable to the gas broiler in my previous range. I would not purchase this item again. The product literature does not disclose that the broiler is a 110v electric item on what is advertised as a gas range. A shame, because I like the performance of the gas stove top. Best Buy delivery and installation was very good.

I got this stove in April for my new place and my family love it …..

The one time we should have purchased the extended warranty! We have had it for 4 years and the ignitor went out and the temperature gauge inside the oven is also not functioning properly. I’ve already paid more for repairs than the warranty would have been. I’ve always had Frigidaire in the past and this is really disappointing.
Rod2021 –
Great looking oven. The simmer burner and the rapid boil burner are very useful. I enjoy being able to slide a pot across the entire range as all the grates are heavy duty and perfectly level.

Originally ordered in March, delivered in June, but so worth the wait! The delivery crew was amaxing, clean, and quick!!!
Cookie –
good, I like it, easy to clean, very easy to use, nice color

This stove is exactly what I was looking for. I don’t use or want the self clean feature on my oven and I wanted a decent sized 5th burner on the stove top. The oven pre-heats very quickly (my old stove took 20 minutes to fully pre-heat) the conversion to LP wasn’t a nightmare, and the best buy delivery guys were great. The only thing I would note, is that if you’re converting to LP yourself, instead of having the stove installed you will have to buy the conversion kit separately. It was roughly $60 on amazon, $75 from the manufacturer.

Purchased this for one of our properties we manage.
Very easy to install and tenants were happy.

Great Range for the price, looks great and expensive

I had to replace an existing range, this was on sale. So far working great. The installation went without any issues.
Modem –
Range was damaged and had a whistling sound. Don’t know if that is a manufacturer issue or range design.
Golfaddict –
Looks great. Like the level grates so I can slide pots.
Raboo –
It’s fine. I just wish the whole thing was stainless. The sides are black and the top is black. The top just streaks when you clean it. I wish I could do it over, but I am stuck with it. I’m 69 and my husband is 76. This will be the last one we buy.

I cannot fairly review this product as it could not be installed at our home. This should have been explained to us at time of purchase. As a result of it not being able to be installed due to the height between the stove and the microwave above it WE HAD THIS STOVE SITTING IN OUR KITCHEN FOR 2 WEEKS UNTIL THEY COULD COME AND GET IT. It also put a big cramp in our EASTER gathering with our family as I DID NOT HAVE A STOVE TO COOK ON. Thank God my daughter and son in law stepped up and took over.

The guy at the store said it was self-cleaning. It is not. Plus, even though it is not as bad as the first one you brought, it too is dented. Don’t what you guys are doing with these things at the warehouse. On a positive note, it cooks well. I like it. BTW, it asked if I would recommend this stove. I put yes, because I couldn’t put maybe, but I’m not really sure yet.

I just love, love, love, my Frigidaire range!!!!!!

Range works well. Good value for the price. Little disappointed in the controller. Also would be nice if the oven light would turn on when the door is opened. Like the drawer vrs the broiler. Gas broiler would also be an improvement.

For the price, this is a great stove! I’m not the biggest chef, but just needed a gas range versus the electric we had before. This works perfectly for our needs. My one and only complaint – I can hear the buzzing of the clock. It’s very faint but loud enough to where I hear it every time I walk into the kitchen.
