    I’m sure it is a good item, but it did not work for me. Configuration is confusing and the mobile application is not at all friendly. I believe it is overrated and overpriced. It went back!

    Excellent radar detector. Alerts you to where they are with an arrow pointing in the direction of the radar. Pair it with the app and map to your destination. It will also tell you your speed both on the detector and the app. Would definitely recommend.

    This would be a good detector for small town driving if your maybe cruzing 5 over bet lets be honest you but a radar detector your not only doing 5 over this is the slowest detector i have ever used it takes such a long time to detect the frequencies that im already getting hit by a radar when it goes off and the arrows are like 5 seconds delayed my uniden r4 would run circles around this and i just cant recommend it to anyone for the price

    This was an upgrade to my previous Escort detector. I don’t use the online subscription. I like the auto mute and directional features that have been added to the lineup. My drive to work is a quite one now. I also like the WIFI capable software update feature that allows me to sit in my car and update the software using the WIFI available at my job. Oh, and the magnetic mount has been improved 100%, With the new mount design the detector will never fall, even on the biggest of potholes.

    This is a good radar detector. East to set up but the bar code is difficult to photograph for the warranty. My only complaint is with the window suction mount. It only stuck to the windshield for about 200 mile and then it came loose and dropped onto the dash. Fortunately the detector was not damaged. For the price I would have expected a much better/stronger mounting system.

    Good product. Does as intended. A bit on the expensive side but worth the investment. App isn’t the best and I have to open it every time I get in the car for it to display the speed limit for the road but other than that very good.

    So far so good with this device. I have owned one for 2 weeks now, after trading up to this one following the purchase of another brand radar detector that died after 5 days of use. I have used this on 2500 miles of driving through 6 states and it worked as intended where radar was being shot. It gave “air patrol” warnings for areas where reports were gathered for that activity. It has been recommended that you do consistent firmware updates on the device for GPS updating. The proprietary software that connects to this is sketchy – either Escort Live or Drive Smarter, both Escort systems. It is only as good as the reporting that people participate with and send in, like Waze, except you are dealing with a much smaller community of people that are running with only Escort branded radar detectors. It may serve well in more populous areas, but the better strategy is to run Waze in addition to using the physical device. Here is a great idea, Escort: Partner with Waze on the software integration to the devices, and get an advertising deal for your products in there with Waze users. My 2 cents. The device is pricey – I will judge it’s value in time to see if it can live up to it’s potential.

    This is a good radar detector, it actually works way before you can see the police which is good if you’re speeding. I would recommend turning off X-Band if you live in the city or do highway driving as it will go off for stores and security systems. Overall this is a great radar system and can save you money in tickets when you’re out cruising around.

    Loved the radar. Despite of having to exchange it because of a power issue I love it. (Replaced it). The distance on it for sure helps vs the cheaper alternative. Also the app works great so you can set it up to how you want it to work.

    The first one was really good but the directional arrows were not functioning correctly. After reaching out to the manufacturer they were helpful and said the rear sensor was more than likely defective. They asked for proof of purchase before proceeding for warranty but I checked to see if I could have it replaced through Best Buy first and Best Buy made it easy to have it replace. Escort was willing to fix if Best Buy didn’t want to swap it.

    I use it daily and it does a good job at detecting even from far distances. It impressed me from the distances it would alert me when traveling out of town. It sure
    provided greater sense of comfort if you happened to be driving a little over the speed limit. You’ll also be able to see how many signals it is picking up.

    The app doesn’t really seem to have many active users as I have yet to have encountered any alerts from other users on the app.

    Bought anew car and wanted a good radar detector. Picks up radar long before you ever see a cop. The gps memory muting function works great.

    Haven’t had one in years but this works very well. Need to play around with it more to really calibrate it but it has picked up cops extremely well. Does have false/positives still but you learn them quickly and it does store them if you pass by them repeatedly. Has already paid off.

    Excellent as a stand-alone radar detector! If definitely kept me out of trouble. Unfortunately, if you plan in using Escort’s full capabilities, the combo of the radar detector and the smart-phone App leave a lot to be desired. They contantly lose communication with each other. After each lengthy stretch of driving during a recent road trip, I had to constantly keep removing and re-adding the Escort Max back into the App as a recognized device. I ended up returning this item do to this inconvenience.

    Excellent performance so far with at least 1 mile further distance sensitivity vs. previous version which I also own. I have owned Escort detectors since early 90’s and this model continues to deliver excellent results.

    This is my 4th radar detector, but the others were way cheaper. I debated the purchase but I’m glad I did. The unit is great, very accurate and the directional arrows make it worth the money.
