I’ve only had the wf-7840 a couple months it does what I need it to do and the color pictures are very vibrant & true to color. My main reason for purchasing this printer was for the 13 x 18 print capacity. I read all the reviews before purchasing some I don’t agree with. I love my printet

Loved that I could print big things. But this printer is an ink guzzler. I have printed no more than 1000 pages. Mostly single sided and have had to change ink cartridges about 9 times. Returned it and ordered a differnet printer.

Prints fine. Wireless functionality never worked consistently, after much troubleshooting. I finally had to connect it to the router with an ethernet cord for it to work. I’ve had it about two years and has worked well otherwise.

So I bought this little printer for work about three years ago, and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite printers ever.
It prints very quickly. The scan function/app is intuitive.
Just a note, from three years of EXTENSIVE use: this printer cannot easily do double sided prints on card stock/thick paper. It tends to jam.
Another small issue I ended up having with it is that if you scan a document using the document feed and it has ANY wet ink when you perform the scan, the scanner will have streaks of that ink for many many many scans. So be sure your documents don’t have wet ink when using the document scanner because it’ll result in long-term streaks on the document feed scanner. There’s not really any way to clean it, either. I tried everything the Epson website offered.
Overall, I’m super happy with this printer and am buying myself one now.

The build quality is a bit flimsy, everything works properly, but I am concerned about length of service. I am glad that I purchased an extended warranty from BestBuy. The printing quality is good the speed is acceptable. It does duplex scanning which was important for me. BestBuy had a great discount with free shipping.

As an owner of all the previous versions of this printer I knew it would be worse this time around with all the changes.
The ink cartridges have changed (harder to orient & insert), the infeed trays have changed (cheaper, less definitive insertion), the outfeed tray has changed (cheaper, no up-angle), etc.
However the WORST change, one I would argue is outright deceptive, is the loss of primary tray-fed 13×19 printing. Now the largest you can go is 11×17.
In previous generations we could print hundreds of 13×19 sheets without reloading paper because of the bottom tray fed nature of the system, but now they’ve shifted to using the rear feeder for 13×19 as if it’s an afterthought. Just a handful of sheets at a time are possible before reloading paper, despite printing on the 13×19 on the box as if it’s a core feature, and ALL previous iterations of the product being primary tray fed 13×19.
Could not be more disappointed with Epson here.

This is a solid printer. It does everything. Problem is, the ui is fairly complicated because of all it does. We could have lived woth the added complexity, but the speed at which it drained those expensive ink cartridges caused us to donate the printer and buy a laserjet.

I purchased this Epson printer(WF-7840) to replace and old Hp printer I had had for 5 or more years. I haven’t did a lot of heavy printing with it yet. It’s a large printer even though I wasn’t expecting it to be that big. The installation was easy. I love the print quality and it prints fast.
