This produces good enough quality scans. This scanner is vwey slow! It is not optimal for multiple scans needed.
alan –
Much faster than my old scanner. But I do fine VueScan much better to use than the included software.
NCMoonMan –
Excellent! Very high resolution! Obviously slower scan time for the higher resolution, but well worth it! You can tell a difference with the ICE technology. Some old scanned photos now look High Definition.

Have used for over a month now scanning large and small photos, black and white and color. I have used it to scan in color slides and negative film strips. Impressed by quality and the amount of time it takes. Even with the negative film strips, only takes a couple minutes with settings for medium to high quality. If doing top DPI and other settings, it does take a few more minutes. Worked with my MacBook after downloading the Epson drivers.

The scanner arruved in a day in a pristine box, and it was literally plug and play. Very easy to setup.

My husband ordered this when our old one died. He works on antique negatives. He is quite pleased with the results from this new scanner.

awesome great value highly recommend to get your photos scanned if you enjoy this process
SammyK –
Best scanner, Nice product. Very professional scanner and job done perfectly.

The short time I’ve owned this scanner, I have scanned several hundred photographs, several dozens of film negatives and some documents. This scanner as gone above my expectations and would recommend this scanner. The price is very reasonable for such a workhorse and the quality of the images and photos scanned.
StevenS –
Great software makes scanning ease. Great for photos and daily office paperwork. Wish there was a little better software for OCR search. Had to research online to find what we needed. Should have been much easier.
tonto90 –
So far this does what it said it would. I wanted it to scan a million negatives I have.
JimL –
Great picture scanner and easy to set up and use and is fast with a lot of options on picture quality.

I was not able to get this scanner to work right for a couple of weeks. It did not connect correctly to my Mac book Pro. I was using a C to USB hub, which works perfectly when connecting the Mac laptop to our printer by USB. I decided on a whim to buy a different brand of hub, and that solved the problem. I don’t know if this was a glitch of the scanner or the hub. But now I am able to digitize our old family photos for posterity, which is a long-range project for us.

Was not able to connect to imac. Had to send back to epson and get new one. Big pain in the neck. Boxing back into original container, bring to fed ex, epson sent wrong label for shipping. Had to wait for them to resend. One screw up after another. Finally got it to connect. Have not used it yet, waiting to get software lessons and learn how to scan negatives before I begin big project (scanning negatives from 60s-70s-80s).

The Epson V600 is a gem in the world of scanners. Here’s why I find it invaluable, especially for my collection of sports cards:
Stellar Image Quality: Every detail of my sports cards, from the colors to the minutiae, is captured with precision. Digital ICE technology further ensures any imperfections are seamlessly removed.
Versatility: Beyond sports cards, the V600 is adept at scanning photos, film, and documents. It’s an all-in-one solution for various needs.
User-Friendly Software: Its intuitive software makes digitizing and enhancing images a breeze, ensuring my cards always look their best.
Efficient: Quick and quiet, I can scan my entire collection without it feeling like a chore.
To sum it up, the V600 offers superb value, making it a top choice for both dedicated collectors and everyday users.

4 stars, but I wish I could give it 4.5. It’s better than “good”, but I cannot give 5.
Applying the settings is not clear enough that I felt comfortable each time that the file was the format I wanted, or the storage folder was the right one, or if the res. was what I intended.
Some old photos had some digital artifacts and needed to be rescanned.
I would like an Adobe Lightroom Classic interface.
Overall, image quality is great – clarity and color are very pleasing.
Note: So far, I have not scanned any negatives or slides.
I would recommend to a friend, and I would buy again.
Oickel –
I bought this scanner so I could digitize some old family color slides. It works great and I could be no more pleased.
DanaP –
One of the best scanners Ive used. Make high def scans.
OnWis –
Needed a new flat bed because my old one was not LED and took 45 seconds to warm up with each scan. LED is quick. The SilverFast software (comes with purchase) offers great flexibility for all media.
tonitw –
Needed this for the awesome scanner! Love the options that are available. Does a great job & highly recommend. Has a fair price point as well. Glad we got it.
user540184 –
easy to use, super simple (immediate) installation w/out any drivers or anything on a mac – as long as you have a dongle adapter.
HAPPY –
This is the second of the same Epson scanners I have purchased and I really like the quality of the scans
JudyS –
First one teti bevayof errors and in the end added corrupted files to the computer. Second one took advanced support to help install the software and have the scanner respond.
Store employees knew nothing about this product.
Michael33 –
Quality scanner with good optics. slightly frustrating to find actual corners of scan range (max lines). would be nice to have a template like the film slide holders that could be used to have images at other corners from origin corner. Speed, color accuracy and noise levels are good.
Thedarklens –
The software was kind of hard to install because it was on a disk didn’t have cd rom drive. Also hard to install on mac.
Kimo –
Scanning 120films and documents is great on this product.
BobR –
Scans are OK, but color slides are sometimes very light and have to be done again. And with documents, the preview screen is VERY low quality, not legible at all. I bought it to replace my 8 year old V500, but I am sorry I did. It is past the Best Buy return date. Been exchanging emails with their tech support, but no help at all.
user173882 –
Great product and delivery is on time with the right description.
BW57 –
Great device, easy set up and use. Can handle multiple pictures in one pass if fit on glass properly. Built in color adjustments and dust removal, both switchable on/off.
BaileyO –
Very well made and works great. Was easy to learn how to use and my prints came out great!
tomhawk –
This scanner has gotten a work out since I got it. Am very happy with it, especially for the price.
RogerR –
Scanner works great with no issues! Quiet, user friendly, and efficient!

Scanner is very good for both photos and 35MM negatives. I use the available free download SilverFast 9 SE. Cleans up older photo and negatives quite nicely, also able to raise resolution.
I found the bundled Epson Software to cumbersome and limited.
Buckie –
I couldn’t get it to work on my windows 11 desktop but I have an old windows seven machine and it worked fine on it. I just wish it would work on my new computer but it works very good on windows 7. I’m happy with the purchase.
MattP –
An excellent flat bed scanner. Its a rarity to find a scanner of this quality at this price point.
AdamS –
great scans of 35 mm B&W film. love that it will scan and automatically scan the entire strip of negatives and make separate files for each.
BruceC –
Great scanner for film. A newer version of one I finally wore out.
MarkDog –
Scanning a bunch of old family photos. I think they look better scanned. Happy with my purchase.
RichardD –
This photo scanner is amazing.., the results of each scan are perfect.
OlivesMom –
Great for scanning my negatives! No more paying someone else to do it.
PatriciaR –
I purchased this item because it had great reviews and all of the features I was looking for. I have not used it yet so I will wait until I do to provide a more in depth review. I’m looking forward to digitizing my many, many photos!
user236786 –
Very happy with our Epson V600 scanner. The ease of use and instant improvement of each photo was surprising. Highly recommend.
Ruger40American –
This item was purchased as a gift for Christmas. So far they love it. Was bought on a recommendation by a friend who purchased both of the Epson scanners. They have thousands of old 35mm slides and this will allow them to upload and save them forever. Also repairs damaged photos and the like. Color correction is another great feature.
MadHawaiian –
Great scanner but first one failed after two years of occasional use (communication error). Really like the Digital ICE picture correction performance. Couldn’t find anything comparable so taking a chance on another one.
Unhappy –
Thought I was getting everything I wanted (scanner for photos and slides). Software was too old to pair with my newer computer!!
WilliamB –
does a nice job, faster than my older one, still learning its operations
Unknown –
I am super happy with this scanner, use it mainly for scanning my paintings in acrylic color. And the scans come out perfect!! I did some research before buying and not disappointed with the purchase. One thing I didn’t like is that you can’t remove the lid.
DanaRedwoods –
I purchased this as an upgrade from my V300 scanner and I love it; it is much sturdier and I appreciate that it opens from the front instead of the side. The user interface offers many options and is easy to use. The quality of the scans is wonderful and it scans quickly.
AlvarofernandoA –
Good scanner, but bulky. Scan is really good, but it’s just way to big
SylviaL –
I was very disappointed that the scanner could not connect to my computer that operates on Windows 11. I contacted Epson Customer Care Center many times but the problem was not resolved even after they sent me a replacement when the conclusion was that the scanner was malfunctioning. When the new one arrived, I was also unable to connect it to my computer. It was the same problem of the red blinking error light. I then brought it to the Geek Squad but they were also unable to solve the problem. I then decided to get another IT expert to help solve the problem but he was also unsuccessful. I had specially bought the Best Buy membership so that I can use the Geek Squad service but it did not help.
