Skybot1 –
Very nice scanner, love it. It’s fast, quiet and quality is very good.
Foxnutz –
This is the fastest home scanner that I’ve ever used! I have been scanning old family genealogy papers and pictures and have really enjoyed using this scanner to do such. Fast and easy!
IanM –
Good basic scanner and easy to use. High quality scans that can be edited.
Randy –
This scanner once installed scans fast. And is OCR WHICH is great for editing pictures..
StevenP –
I checked the box to make sure that it was compatible with macOS 14, and it said everything from 11 and up is good — not. Their website only has software downloads up to version 10 and it’s impossible to access a download for any newer versions.

We are very happy with this scanner. It does a great job and is very simple to operate.

The Epson Perfection V39 II flatbed scanner impresses with its sleek design, reliable performance, and user-friendly interface. With a good balance of resolution and color depth, it’s a solid choice for home and small office use.
mhochman –
This is a great little scanner for documents, I would highly recommend it

I have been pleased at how well and how easy it was to work. Very easy to set up as well.
AllysonW –
The instructions for scanning are lacking so there is a learning curve. Took a while to figure out there are 2 different programs that you can use.
DarrenO –
Bought this to scan in some photos for a celebration of life slideshow we were putting together. The quality is great, even on some older photos that weren’t in great shape. The software works well and isn’t hard to install. If I had to pick a negative it would be the speed of the scans. It’s not bad, but if you have a large project or are scanning in hundreds of photos you might want something a little faster.
TEAMCAP7 –
Seems to work as advertised was not too hard to use.
SandraL –
Nice scanner, small enough to store when not in use and love the removable lid to scan large photos
Brendy –
Great machine to scan old photos and very easy to use.

GadgetMan2019 –
A very easy to set up and use scanner. Had up and working for my needs in less than 30 minutes. Does and great job and makes scanning easier than ever in m y opinion for sure.

I really enjoy this scanner. It has answered some of the complaints that have been written about it: 1) Noisy? Makes a little whirring sound letting you know it’s doing the job 2) Not fast? I only scan images that I cherish, scanning hundreds in minutes is not what I need 3) Image quality? I use my computer’s photo editing if I want things to look different 4) When photo is placed in the corner as directed, it will cut the margin? It does! I place the original at the center top and adjust the margins after with my computer. I like that the top will stay open while you load, and that oversize items can be layed flat under the cover so you can still scan a portion of the original. I have never used the kick stand. I scan mostly at 300 dpi (higher does not improve my old photos). I was not able to register my purchase because “location” of United States is not a choice in the drop down – what is that all about? No buyer’s remorse for me and my requirements.

Great scanner for the price. Light weight and compact.
ElizabethR –
This would not work with either my laptop or my tower.
PamR –
Worked great, exactly what I was looking for. Would buy again.
JosephH –
This dude is light and pretty compact for the size of documents it will scan. Purchased it to scan recipes for my laser engraver. Works great good quality pretty easy to use. I can hook it to my laptop and scan on location. Sometimes folks don’t want to part with nana’s original pound cake secret.
Avengers –
Bought to scan images, so far it works as expected
GeorgeM –
Great flatbed scanner from Epson. Setup was easy, photo scans are great.
Epson software is okay. Not user friendly compared to previous versions.
Great selling point in addition to the good looking scans, you can place multiple photos on the glass and have the scans saved separately. Huge time saver.
Good construction considering it is mostly plastic, and a good value at this price point.
In addition to the good looking photo scans, the cover expands and can be removed, if you need to scan books or photo albums.
NoahD –
Bought it for my grandfather when his original scanner stopped working post Windows 11 upgrade.
ArtistKay –
Excellent scanner at a very low cost. I’m very pleased with it so far.
Cyberdude –
Scanner works great for my use, picture quality is great.
Yvette –
Bought this to use with my mac pro. It is not compatible. I spent over an hour with geek squd (3 different people) and could not get it to work. If we plugged it into a usb port it would start, not with usb-c
AGil –
I’m using this to digitize old family photos. It’s ability to accept multiple photos to scan all at once is incredibly helpful. It will also crop and rotate images as needed to make sure none of the white background appears though sometimes a little manual adjustment is needed before saving the file. The software is a bit old fashioned feeling but it works so can’t really complain on that front. All in all I would recommend this scanner.
Chris –
Needed a quick scanner to scan old photos for a funeral and this helped out really well
LisaC –
Great scanner for the price. We scanned family photos over the weekend.
Jerry –
Very good for the price. I use it to scan all those images I took before digital cameras came along. It is also great for old family photos from long ago. It cannot scan slides or negatives but I knew that when I bought it. While I didn’t buy it for document scanning I have used it for that and works well.
Arash –
I bought this scanner be a I was tired of the grainy scans my previous scanner produced. Wow! Scans are crystal clear and the smart scan software make it easy to scan without too much cropping. Great buy!
BabeRuth –
Not a scammer, an excellent scanner.
Previous Epson scanner provided 22 years of excellent service. I expect the same quality from my new Epson so I’ll be set for a long while!
FryderykC –
Plan to use soon fits in perfectly. Very sleep and looks like a laptop lol
KoryM –
Not as convenient as I thought it would be. A bit bulky.
RichProducts –
I made a video for a family member’s funeral, and ended up scanning about 100 photos for it. The scanner was light and small enough to fit in my backpack, so I could do the scanning at my mom’s house and leave the original photos with her. It was powered by the USB cable so that was super convenient. The driver was easy to download, and I could scan 4 pics at a time.
ColsonD –
Great scanner for a great price. Software is simple, and the resolution is quite good. Pretty happy with this purchase.
GailV5 –
For the price, it does everything I need it to do. I use it to scan old photos so I can share them with family and friends. I also scan documents, as needed. Also, it does not take up a lot of room on my desk.
RobertT –
Easy to set up and very good quality. Reasonably priced. Very pleased with this item
XZR123 –
This scanner took about 10 minutes to setup and install software on a Win10 laptop. We were able to scan 3 photos at a time and the software automatically saved as separate images. This saved us quite a bit of time as it scans fairly quickly and easily using a button on the scanner. The only cable is usb (no power) so that was convenient.
RobertO –
Plug & Play Setup. Easy to use. Affordable Price. Now we must continue to type so we get the minimum of 50 Chars.
Eric1 –
Quick to install. Easy to use. My wife love the scanner.
thesantafeartist8 –

RobinW –
Bought to scan old family photos, scanned over 11,000 photos in 4 weeks and no problem whatsoever. Great product!!
DavidT –
Great quality scans. Quick and easy to use. Great value for the money. Did some homework before buying and a wide variety of reviews were very positive.
FeliciaJ –
Got this for my son & he loves it! Great purchase!

Pros: Scan speed good, document preview in ScanSmart software. Cons: ScanSmart software poorly designed, requires too many Settings adjustments that could all be on opening page (like Canon MP Navigator) to switch between Document and Photo, set letter or full platen, DPI, other settings, scan quality on B&W documents over-saturated, Auto mode clips borders from documents (must use Letter or Maximum document size), and Photo mode inexplicably scans each item twice to produce one result doubling scan time to 30+ seconds. Only keeping it because I have figured-out how to build-in custom settings using Scan-2 secondary utility, speed is better than my previous Canon LiDE 90 that lasted 10+ years, and Preview in ScanSmart allows me to delete mis-scans or duplicates in multi-page documents. Probably should have purchased Canon LiDE 400. Note: I am an IT guy who has set-up pretty much every consumer printer/scanner brand in last 20 years + software, and personally scan thousands of documents and photos each year.
