Epson LS 11000 has an outstanding Picture Quality! This is projector number 5 for my dedicated (21 x 14 foot) Theater Room. I just had an Epson 5040 go out in November 2021. The epson dealer let me know the board was out after 7500 hour’s. I bought a Sony VPL 45es (Magnolia) and used it for over 5 months (500 Hours) while I waited to have the 5040 repaired. I am happy I waited the the 11000 to come out. It has excellent contrast, clarity and color pop. The value proposition of this projector is an excellent return. I have only had it up and running for only about an 6 hour’s but it is running 4k at 60/hertz. With a few adjustments to color and HDR it has a stunning picture. The flexibility of installation is huge value. I did have to to install a new 8k fiber optic cable to get it to project a picture (Old HDMI did not Work). I worked with the Magnolia at Tuttle Crossing and Rob was an excellent consultant. Initially I bought 4050 then the 5050. I ultimately spent the extra dollars for increased contrast, Laser, 8 million color and True 4 k shifting. The build quality and picture fine tuning are worth their weight in gold! I am very happy with this project and picture quality. I am using a Elite Screens Sable Frame B2 135-INCH Projector Screen Diagonal 16:9, with a 1.3 gain. Yamaha TS 700 Polk signature series (7.2) with dual 12 inch subwoofers. I included on shot with a single ambient light source (lamp) and the picture is excellent. I Will update once I view some 4k Movies. If you have not worked with Magnolia representative I would consult with them if your are looking to build or upgrade a theater room!

Bought this one to replace a 10 year old Epson 5030 which had developed a vertical green line on the display. Due to lack of parts it was not repairable so I went with the ls11000. Great picture, with a 4k signal you can see every pimple on the actor’s face (maybe I’ll go back to 1080 for some shows). Some still refer to the Epson 4k projector as a faux-k due to pixel shifting, but it appears that the full 4k information is displayed. Switching the input from 1080p to 4k/60 HDR shows a much more detailed picture, so I’m pleased to get such a great picture for under $4k.

  3. omar

looks great on screen clear picture like a regular tv

  4. Jwproffitt

Quit working after 2 weeks. This is my 7th Epson projector. I love them but they never last very long unfortunately. Very sensitive to power surges. Protect very well at all costs. Last 2 I had the hdmi inputs quit working. One time I would suggest extended warranty. When it works they have a great picture.

  5. Kdmre

Incredible projector. Takes home movie nights to the next level. No hesitations in highly recommending this projector.

  6. NathanK

Wow! picture clarity is excellent! We first got a different model but then switched to this model and we can perfectly see the difference. We have 150″ screen and enjoying the best quality! Denitetly worth the cost and would recommend it to others!

  7. Josh

This projector is big but the picture is out of this world good. Expensive but all in all worth it

  8. JayJayJr

Hands down the best projector I have owned. I replaced my Epson Home Cinema 3800 with this one. Also gaming at 120HZ is a big plus.

  9. Hometheatrespeakerwire

Quality is really good! It’s but bulky but price worthy! Would have been nice to have 3D in it.

  10. DocStan

    Excellent projector
Works best in darkened room but can be turned to brighter settings
Choosing “cinema” setting drops light to <50%
I’m really looking forward to not having to replace bulbs
I have had some problems with touchy connection with my Apple TV through a Yamaha receiver
Needs a high quality HDMI cable- using 40 foot hybrid optical cable
Projecting to a 125” diagonal screen. Tall ceilings. Surprising how good the lens shift feature is- sharp focus at all 4 corners with projector above the level of the top of the screen

  11. Trillium

Best projector at its price point. I’ve been waiting to upgrade my projector until a 4K 120hz projector came out. No other projector can match the value for these features. Really enjoying it as an upgrade to the Epson Home Cinema 4000. Substantial difference in contrast and black levels.

  12. Jimmy

I’ve owned projectors for the last 10 years. This is worth the money. The quality and ease of setup are tops. Not having to have your picture start dulling the day you get it because of the laser is 100% worth it. Just do it. You know you want to.

  13. DAdams

Purchased this projector for basement home theatre. I am impressed with the picture and the ease of use. I love that the projector is a laser projector instead of a projector with a lamp. This was installed by geek squad and seemed to install easily. I wish this projector also came in black but doesn’t not. The LS12000 is available in black but costs $1k more. I am using this with the Elite Screens – Aeon 135″ Wall Mount Projector Screen and the picture is amazing and clear. I also like that this projector has an eArc hdmi. I am using this with sonos ecosystem. I have a sonos arc mounted under the screen with a sub located in the front and one in the rear with 2 play 5’s as the rear speakers. Also using a 4K AppleTV as my video source. Would definitely purchase this again. One thing to note is that my Best Buy salesperson ordered the epson branded ceiling mount and that mount is only rated for 25 pounds and this projector comes in at a whopping 28 pounds so just make sure mount is rated for the weight of this projector.

  14. Jibb

Great quality picture; real theater feel. I’m not a techie and even I can operate this one. Good price for the high quality product. The installers were the best part. They were knowledgeable and efficient And really nice people.

  15. Adrian

Excellent projector. If you go with grey screen ( Obsidian – Tab Tension , long focus alr – you’re welcome ) the image is as good as my living room Samsung Oled . Gaming is also very nice on it. I’m very happy with it.

  16. JohnH

I’ve had a home theater for the last 18 years. For the last 2 years planning a new HT during a major home renovation. The biggest decision, of course, was the projector. Looked at everything under $5K and finally decided on the LS11000. They have been in and out of stock since their intro. Took a month after ordering to ship, 10 days to arrive. UPS was supposed to require a signature but was just dropped off. Package was in good condition and so was the projector. Used the Epson ceiling mount, which had some issues with the 4mm screws used to mount to the projector. I had spares from TV mounts so mounting was finished without major incident. I ran a 25’ UHD, 18GHz wire HDMI cable from the Denon amp to the projector 20 months ago. The throw distance of this projector is about 3’ farther than planned, so I needed a cable extension. Nonetheless, the combination wouldn’t work for UHD, just 1080p. Had to run a new fiber optic cable to fix that. If you are running cable, just bite the bullet and install FO cables. Just a heads up. Quick start guide is way too thin to get to a properly positioned picture on the screen. Other than that, the startup is quick, picture is bright and clear. 4K content is amazing on a 120” screen. Even with some ambient light, the picture is very good. Much better than my 1500 lumen Panasonic ever was. Only a week into ownership and I will update after I get it better dialed in.

  17. Fayyaz

Excellent HD Picture Quality and good value for the money

  18. SteveR

Easy to install and great picture! I used an independent professional installer but could have done it myself

  19. Crippinbluh

I use with apple tv and its perfect quality be sure to search youtube on how to properly set up for apple tv once i did that it is movie theater quality picture with great blacks AND still looks great with the lights on

  20. TASL

I was disappointed when my nearly 9-year-old Epson 5020 developed an annoying problem. When I realized the cost for repair would cover a substantial chunk of the cost of a new 4K projector, I decided to make the leap. I am glad I did. The picture brightness, contrast and detail are clearly superior to the old 1080p projector, right out of the box. With minimal tweaking, it’s hard to imagine a better picture without spending obscene amounts of money.
My only caveat is that I had to replace my HDMI cables and audio breakout box, as the ones that had worked fine with the old projector did not play well with this 4k model.

  21. mith

Upgraded from a small led projector… so happy that I bought this one. Bit pricey but clarity and brightness is some thing you can’t compare. Finding a mount is the pain with this monstrosity. ( still haven’t found a good one).

  22. Disneymama

Hard to review for me since my unit was defective. The switch from bulbs to laser should be big improvement, but time will tell how these laser models hold up in the long run.

  23. Peewee1

I had the Epson Home Cinemas 4010 before I got the LS11000 & it’s been a really big awesome upgrade. Looking forward to many movie nights & streaming.

  24. ArealBestBuy

This is the best projector I have had … so far. Technology is always changing and bringing better and better equipment. What makes this unit so much better than the last one I had is the IR remote allows the unit to be “accessible” anywhere! That may sound simplistic, but if your current projector does not have that flexibility, you know exactly why I am so happy about this feature. Then pile on all of the amazing “other” benefits and your mind might be blown like mine was and has been. We love it!!

  25. Pradeep4k

Excellent picture quality and brightness. Totally satisfied

  26. SadiqZ

Picture quality is superb. Very easy to set up and use.

  27. MarkMN

So far really like this projector. Well the second one. The first one I bought had bad 8 bad pixels which left bright green spots in some constellation pattern. 🙂 From boards sounds like this has happened to a number of people. Thanks to Best Buy for an easy return and had a new one delivered to my home 3 days later. So far this one has been great. I came from an old Epson Home Cinema from 12 years ago. This one is so much brighter and better picture quality. Playing Xbox is much better with the higher refresh rate though just have an Xbox 1 so haven’t tested the 120hz. This is one of the few 4k’s supporting hdmi 2.1 which was one of my reasons for getting it. Cons: Protective cover is noisy and sounds cheap closing. IT’S BIG and heavy. Make sure you have room and proper ceiling mount that supports almost 30lbs. Feel like I need to point the remote right at it which is annoying when sitting below it. My $140 apple tv can do wireless/bt why can’t a $4k projector? Pros: picture quality. Brightness. I have a gray screen and I almost never go over 50%. Infact sometimes wish could go lower.

  28. kunatir

Quite, easy to install and clean. And the options are easy to change.

  29. NarayanJ

its working good but when i change chhane it give brief pause for 10 sec

  30. FritzM

so far this has exceeded all expectations! casting on a 100″ acoustically transparent screen about 12ft away. lens features made it easy to get the picture aligned just right. out the box, i felt no need to adjust the default picture settings

  31. AlfredR

Excellent 4K projector with a clear crisp picture.

  32. Dave

This is an excellent projector for rooms with moderate light control. The colors pop off the screen, and the 20,000 life span is ample. It’s heavy, so you may want to consider a shelf vs a ceiling mount. The mount I purchased sags over time no matter how much I tighten the screws. The black levels are good, if not great. The only things that I wish this projector did is automatically adjust HDR, and support native 4k. This the reason for the 4 star rating. The picture is fantastic, but could be slightly more crisp.

  33. BillT

Truly amazing picture! Very easy to set up! An is very quiet! Hooked up the my mount perfectly! Cannot say enough!

  34. Discosupafly

Does everything I expected it to do, great picture, only wish it had Wi-Fi. I’m.

  35. Richard

Excellent device. It was a bit difficult to set up and to get functioning properly, but the picture quality is excellent.

  36. Jayanth

Excellent projector when paired with a compatible receiver.

  37. BillHuelbig

It’s everything I was hoping for in a projector. Highly recommended.

  38. NaveenP

lens cover is opening only half way, this is going back

  39. Sankofa

Upgrated from a bulb based project, a 5030ub, this laser projector blows it away !No more bulb dimming, flickering and no more replacing the bulb after have of its life! The picture is bright, colors are rich and they will be the same way for years to come.

  40. VintB

The 4K picture is awesome. Easy to setup. Even the Non-$K shows are much more clearer.

  41. TpRp

Nice projector.so far it’s working good. Easy to set up.

  42. Bill

The projector has an amazingly bright picture. The instructions for getting through installation were not user friendly. I had to call support to get through them. The projector is noisier that my previous one (JVC). The lack of a Toslink connector is a disappointment for a projector of this price.

  43. JesseH

Love the projector but had to return it due to not fitting in my space

  44. DamandeepD

I like projector its very clear and give me nice color its play nice 4k movie im happy that i purchase my projector from you guys thanks for all your help im enjoy my projector everyday.

  45. AKKC

Since purchasing my projector i have been happily surprised daily. Its the only projector i can watch during day with shades open and lights on! It truly is like a 150” tv its so bright. I highly recommend this 4k lazer projector to anyone who uses during daylight hours. Way to go Epson!!

  46. Poopfish

Great projector if upgrading from bulb or 1080p. May not justify the cost otherwise. Not intuitive setup when mounted upside down on the ceiling. This thing is very heavy! Make sure you upgrade your mount.

  47. JefferyW

Life like images, very quiet, high resolution, great contrast

  48. ibluesmsi

After playing around with few pico projectors, this is my first projector. Very impressive! Colors stand out. Looking forward to completing my home theater setup with this one.
