Upstate –
The air conditioner works very well but it has gaps all around it when installed and they provide foam inserts to close them which are time consuming and not very attractive. All of our past air conditioners slid into the window and did not have this problem.
The “dry mode” only works by making the area very cold in the process so when you turn it off, it increases the condensation in the room. Very disappointed, its not what we thought it would do. We just wanted to remove some humidity.

My last a/c was so loud, it was hard to sleep. When I watched TV I had to have the volume up to #27. Although the a/c still cooled I replaced it with the Emerson Quite Cool. When I watch the TV the sound level is down to #12. Sleeping has improved as well.

Mounted into the window fairly easy with the window installation kit. It is not as quiet as I would have liked, but when in use it definitely does the job cooling down the room.

I bought this for it’s quiet feature. Not as quiet as I expected but it’s okay. Nice cool air but when I hit fan mode, there’s a certain industrial type of smell that comes out of it. Other than that I am satisfied with my purchase.

Unit is extremely loud. I assumed the Emerson Quiet Cool would live up to its name. NOT!! The lowest fan setting blows very hard. Pair that with the compressor and it sounds like a diesel truck idling. The only plus is this unit cools very fast. Will be returning it.

The air conditioner works great and is very easy to install. Took 5 minutes max. It’s a bit louder than I was expecting but it’s not enough for me to dock a star.
I bought two on a super sale and am very happy with them for the price I paid. I don’t know that I would’ve paid full price, but definitely would have spent a bit more if I needed to.
