The best Coffee Maker and very easy to use. Beans to cup from the conviniet of your own kitchen. Coffee is better than any coffee shop.
RobB –
It’s good for the price. Regular cleanup of coffee grounds is a bit more annoying than other models. If you have the money I’d go with Phillips 3200 espresso machine.

Idea 5/5. Execution 1/5. What do i mean? The idea that you have the option to use whole beans or coffee grounds is great, but at what cost? The 5 step button sequence thats got to be right or you’ll end up canceling and wasting coffee grounds/beans. The insane mess it creates at the opening for grounds, the ground/water waste slots, the main compartment and below the machine from the water waste sloshing around and spilling over. Idk i wish i could return it or exchange it but is what it is.

Out performs the coffee maker it replaced (Philips 3200) Does not have all the selection choices of the 3200 but that’s a good thing. I’d rather have a machine that does one thing exceedingly well, rather than many things poorly. I would certainly recommend this machine. The only drawback is no 5 oz choice. A 3 and an 8 and nothing in between.

The best tasting coffee I’ve ever had, however, the machine is flawed. It’s supposed to store all the used coffee grains and water in compartments in the machine, and you’re supposed to easily clean it after about 7 or so cups. What happens is, the grains and water go everywhere in the unit, and when you pull it apart to clean it, it makes a giant mess on the counter. Hoping they will fix this issue on their next model!

User manual would have to improve just to be terrible. Once I deciphered the silly thing the machine works great. Very noisy.

GREAT coffee maker! LOVE the freshness of the coffee and end of Kpods!

My whole family absolutely loves this machine – I make a 8 oz. gold brew in the morning, my husband prefers an espresso, and my daughter makes herself an iced coffee.
BigNic –
Best coffee maker I’ve ever owned and I’ve had a few

This thing makes bangin coffee, I drink 1 or more cups from it every day. Bit of a learning curve to cleaning and maintaining it tho. But I started ordering top of the morning coffee and using this all the time and it’s been a great thing. the settings for the darkness of the roast are nice and it’s cool being able to use whole bean and ground bean stuff. I dont know what other things look like at this price point for coffee makers but I’m happy enough.

This is the best coffee maker we have ever owned! It makes freshly ground delicious coffee. The only issue I have is the cleanup which can be inconssitent. The design needs some slight tweaks as water and coffee grounds sometimes miss the internal waste bins. There is one for the coffee pucks and one for water. This requires wiping the bottom of the inside every few made coffees. Not too big of the deal as it brews excellent coffee.

Worked amazing at first when using coffee beans. If you are using pre-grounded coffee you might as well just go to Starbucks. I just spent the last hour of my first morning with it cleaning all the coffee grounds. This is the messiest machine I have ever used. I packed it right back in the box afterwards and it will be returned. Oh, and the best part is that I did not even get a cup of coffee it never brewed with the mess. I am heading to Starbucks now.

When my old coffeemaker started leaking all over the kitchen counter i decided it was time to replace it. I wanted a brewer that would grind the beans and brew a cup at a time. This machine does that but the care and feeding of this beast hardly makes it worthwhile. It constantly needs the reservoir filled, the grounds and overflow emptied, or more beans. The metering for cup size either overflows a normal cup or half fills a larger cup. The brew itself is the bitterest coffee I have drunk outside of a rundown 7-11. Do yourself a favor and avoid this overpriced piece of junk.

Coffee is good, but every time you need to open the machine to empty there’s coffee water and grinds that leak out. They also charge 100$ more for stainless steel but the entire machine aside for 2 little strips in front is plastic. Makes a good cup of coffee but for the price a bit disappointed by the look and constant clean up.
Roberty1 –
We’re somewhat coffee snobs and this coffee machine is just what we needed to make perfect brew. Like the grind for freshness with softner settings built for great taste. Many feature so highly recommended reading the manual thoroughly to clear understanding.
JerryP –
Replaces another machine that cost three times as much and it does the same or better and includes auto shut down.
Very happy with this product.
MrBig –
So far so good. I almost returned it because it didn’t seem to be able to deliver a full 20 oz to fill a travel mug, but you have to let it go through 2 grind and fill cycles in order to get a full cup which isn’t mentioned in the directions.
Jmariano –
The machine would be great if the coffee got hotter
Matt –
Bought this due to the ability to freshly grind the beans before making a cup of coffee. I enjoy the machine and it’s capabilities as well. It is a little pricey compared to your standard machines, but the freshness makes up for it.
AdamC –
Waste of money. People who give it 5 stars most likely work for this manufacturer. Messy, once the water sensor goes out well hell there goes the whole coffee maker just throw it in trash can. Just garbage they put out to see who would buy it at this price.
JudyV –
Best coffee maker!! Very expensive but worth every penny I spent on it!! I am my own Barista now!! I can make any coffee drink that I used to get at the coffee shops!!
JulianH –
Item arrived in good condition, very easy to use and dispenses coffee pretty fast.
Renato –
Perfect easy to use and maintain. Great for grab and go mornings only thing it needs is a foamer on the side.
Unknown –
Makes delicious coffee every time, however, it is a bit messy and leaky so be prepared for that.

I wanted to love this machine. It would have been perfect for our household. I wanted to buy it from Best Buy because of the awesome total care coverage and I know these things can break with lots of moving parts. I bought online and drove 45 mins each way to pick up in store. Unboxed and discovered I had a previously used machine (a bean shot out for the first water cycle and there was residue on the brewing unit). Whoever packed it up did a nice job, kudos to them, but you can return it without lying FYI. Since it was used, I went ahead and gave it a spin. The coffee tasted ashy and bitter. Like diner coffee but I’m using tried and true A+ beans, right. The 3oz bold option was the only option didn’t pour down the sink. I thought maybe this is why they returned it, it’s a lemon machine- let me be an optimist and give it a fair shot because a large percentage of the reviews say it’s the bomb. SO I drove another 1.5 hours round trip to exchange…
for another USED machine. I can’t make this up. This one was damaged and missing parts. Also wrapped up like it was brand new so this makes me think something is going on.
I called Delonghi to make sure this wasn’t standard protocol and they said no.
Anyway, round 2 machine still managed to turn my A+ beans into diner coffee. It doesn’t get hot enough and this thing is obviously not meant to be on my countertop. It’s like it doesn’t have enough brew time. It starts dispensing as a nice dark brown and 1/2 way through the 8 oz (strong) brew option it’s almost clear. It was not a pain to clean like a lot of reviews say. I didn’t have grinds or water everywhere so not sure if that’s operator error or what.
If you decide you have to try it, order online, have it shipped and pull the machine apart prior to using it. Or just save ~$500 and don’t.

Various settings is a nice feature but the machine constantly is running and tends to jam. The coffee sensor for the coffee dispenser is always showing that it needs to be emptied even though it’s not full.
Rose –
Coffee maker is very noisy! Takes too long for one cup of coffee.
AlbertG –
The best coffee maker I ever bought. The coffee is so rich and flavorful, I normally add creamers but this one their just no need.
Momof3 –
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine. I have wanted a really good coffee machine. I had been reading reviews and finally took the plunge. No regrets. I have had the machine for several months and haven’t had any issues. I love the fresh ground smell and the coffee taste so good.
Jeff –
There are a number if design defects with this device, including poor containment of coffee grounds and dirty water, unreliable sensors, etc. We went through two units and returned both. Do not buy.
JohnB –
Makes decent enough coffee but can’t get around two deal breakers. First, water will leak everywhere. It is a design flaw. Second, the machine shuts itself off after only a few minutes, adding to the leak problem. When the machine shuts off it runs water through the line thus filling the inner tray. Just bad design all around.
Linda –
I love the machine overall especially the ice feature for iced coffee.
AliciaM –
Do not buy this machine. It is overpriced and does not deliver. Since I bought it is it has left a messy puddle of wet grounds underneath it consistently. The low water indicator doesn’t work and the coffee comes out at a tepid 135 to 145° (coffee should be brewed at between 195 and 205°) Also, if you have an RO system or heavily filtered water in your house to long, he says that that is not good for the coffee maker and will cause it to malfunction, something that they should tell you before you buy it. Overall, this machine is not worth the money and I suggest you keep looking.
IkeG –
Purchased 6 months ago, used daily until 2 weeks ago when started receiving infuser error anytime tried to brew a cup. Called Customer Service. After lengthy video session was told I would have to ship it off to have repaired. Would not recommend not buy again. Much more dependable units on the market.
AlejandroQ –
So far no issues. Makes a really strong cup of coffee even on the light setting.
PatrickS –
Machine is junk! After 4-6 cups you have to empty out the water and grinds compartments, it leaks coffee water all over, they sell it as stainless steel but the machine is 98% plastic, its big, noisy and the coffee is not very hot. I microwave the coffee almost every time. Honestly, Deloonghi should be embarrassed with the quality of this machine.
JeffS –
Easy to use, learning how to make the best coffe but after a week, two thumbs up!
JohnM –
We love it. Freshness of the coffee is amazing. Cleanup is easy
JuanM –
this is the best coffee maker I have ever bought… the coffee is so rich and tasty…
MartinM –
Amazing – just what we were looking for to replace our grind and brew coffee machine. Wanted a single cup that would grind fresh beans – and this is perfect!
Using ground coffee is a bit annoying having to hit the right sequence of buttons but overall it is great!
RoseannV –
Great machine. Good quality good coffee. Always fresh
MaryoM –
I enjoy my coffee maker every day. I have learned to use it well.
WontBuyAppleAgain –
Great machine. It is noisy if you are the first person up in the morning.
Sheena –
Don’t do it! I’ve gone through three returns of this machine. Finally kept the last one and it leaks everywhere and creates mold. Contacted the company about it since it’s in warranty and they told me to move the coffee maker to a less “humid” area and to let parts dry. How will any of this help prevent it from shooting wet grounds everywhere and leaking all over the counter? For 600 dollars we have a moldy paper weight that the company refuses to replace. I will be contacting BBB next.
JamesN –
bought it for my work. Everyone very happy with it.
EloyS –
Awesome Expresso Coffee Maker! We love it! You can enjoy a really good cup of coffee just with a push of a button.
BradfordM –
After about a month of use, and currently sipping caribou’s mahogany blend of coffee I can’t rave enough about this machine.
First the negative about this machine:
•It is loud, between having to grind the beans and the brew cycle it is a little bit noisy.
•you need to clean it regularly, about once a week
•the parts that require cleaning do feel cheap and are plastic (not a big problem in my opinion).
• the internal parts can be messy and hard to clean.
The Positives:
•It holds a full pound of whole bean coffee.
•it has an optional port for ground coffee
•the fresh bean to cup feature is absolutely amazing and brews from 3oz to 24oz.
•it has multiple brew types from light, gold, bold to Ice brew.
•the roasted freshness is unspeakable, it even has an optional coffee temperature setting.
•it filters the water based on a hardness scale tester (included in the box)
In summary if you don’t mind keeping up with wiping down the machine and cleaning the parts regularly this coffee pot is for you. I highly recommend it to any coffee enthusiasts from just learning to the connoisseur.
RobertO –
Best purchase ever!! Consistent brew strength. Easy to use
StanlC –
It handled whole beans very well, BUT it couldn’t seem to be able to make a cup of coffee using ground coffee at all well. Even when I filled the ground coffee “funnel” to the max, the resulting cup of coffee was light brown and not hot al all. I followed brewing instructions to the letter.
Patrick –
Love it! It’s fast, user taste adjustable and easy to use. Get the coffee beans you like and your all set. You can make it weak or strong, long or short. You will have to try a couple different beans. If you get beans you don’t like It won’t taste good. It’s the beans not the coffee maker.
