Firs- the sale price of $159 is hard to beat- regardless, these speakers deliver impressive sound.
These speakers are relatively large, which is not apparent when viewing online (who looks a size specs right?).
I installed the pair under my deck, facing our pool, The sound is terrific, although the bass not as pronounced as I would like, but in reality I doubt any other speaker of this size, when used in an open air environment, would render a marked increase in bass response.
Mid and high sounds are crystal clear, and the dispersion simply perfect. No regrets on this purchase.

These speakers are the best outdoor investment I have purchased this year! The audio is so crisp and clear. I have them connected to a Yamaha receiver and play my CD’s and MP3s. The range on the speakers is tremendous. I have a 100ft x 300ft back yard and I can hear the music clearly. The quality can’t be beat for the price. The installation was really easy and took me about 2 hours to install. I would consider myself pretty handy. You will not regret this purchase!

I’ve been into high end sound equipment since an early age. These speakers were installed in our new tiki hut and exceeded all my expectations. They obviously cannot reproduce the extreme lows like a good sub will deliver, but they will out perform anything comparable in the same price range without a blink. Give them a shot if your putting together any type of outdoor system.

These are GREAT!!! I almost spent the extra money on the next model up but decided against it and I am glad I did. For my area, these speakers work great. I have 3 on the screened in porch and two on the outside facing our yard. They work great.

Good speakers when running together. I have one set up towards my pool and the other on the deck. If you’re going to run these solo (listening to one at a time) you will not get the full effect of the speakers. Pay attention to the mounting it doea make a difference. Im also using a really old Sony receiver like 20+ years, speakers still sound fantastic.

Don’t buy…this are outdoor speakers…the grill covers expand under the sun and start to pop out…sent emails to Definitive customer support and they ignored my emails, instead they sent out new grilles without any communication…what good is sending out new (same size) grilles when they should have instead allowed some room in the grille frame for them to expand under the sun so it wouldn’t pop out and fall off….emailed them multiple times and they just created case number and nothing else…they don’t even bother to reply to multiple emails…poor design and customer support!
