I had the KitchenAid pasta press attachment for 2 years, and after making pasta once a month, it broke, and even calling customer service, they couldn’t figure out the part to replace, so I decided to invest money in a new machine. I had no idea how easy my life could be making pasta with a real pasta maker. This machine is 300 Watts and extrudes out the pasta at a much faster speed than the kitchenAid. The watts of the machine were one of my biggest concerns, so after doing lots of research, I found this once a much better option. I made one recipe ( 2 cups of semolina flour and 4 oz of egg) and in 12 minutes it was done!!! Pasta for 4 people in 10 minutes (picture)!!! I only made spaghetti so far. You add the flour, close the lid, choose the shape of pasta, plug on, turn it on (Auto Stop), and last, you slowly add the egg through the lid’s hole, Sit and watch!!! as the pasta comes out, just cut by spinning the tip of the extruder. Washing was very easy, it comes with a brush and pointy tip to help. lots of parts, but the dough doesn’t stick. Very little waste at the end, way less than my old one. Size is compact, easy to store, like a blender. I can’t wait to make pizza dough and bread!!!! I couldn’t be happier with Cuisinart fabricating this easy-to-use and powerful pasta maker!!!

The first time I used it, I realized how bad – or MISSING – the directions were. If you watch the video first, you get a clue that you just push the Auto/Stop button, but there is NO direction in the manual. Also, it’s not forgiving at all with high humidity, so definitely you need to under-estimate the amount of water needed if that’s the case.
My first attempt produced cement that would not extrude. My second attempt – the same humid day – was much better, but still not as automatic as the video shows. Maybe it will get better with practice and less added water…

I have used it once. It seems very flimsy. It was kind of a pain to make pasta. Didn’t want to extrude, and when it did extrude it was very very slow. I’ll still work with it but am not terribly happy with it.

I received it with 50% of atttachments missing so I had to return it.

I have wanted to make NE style hot dog buns for hot dogs, Lobsta rolls, etc. I am still working on the dough, but soon I will be happy.

This product for being a counter top appliance is in the very nice to have category. Sure you can mix your own dough, tell all your friends you made homemade pasta, but you can do the same with this and it’s very good. I researched a few more recipes and modified the receipt but you don’t have to. Two thumbs up for this product.

I have not used this yet, but I am very much looking forward to. I have read nothing but great reviews about it.

Did not use it. We wanted a bread maker. So we opted for something else.

I have always wanted to make homemade pasta but dreaded all the steps and such required. This machine works amazingly well with so little work on my part required! My only negative is that the pasta does not come out in equal lengths, it is a hodgepodge that comes out so I just let it go until it stops and then just cut at the end. Make sure you follow the directions, as you will be tempted to add additional liquid but DON’T! An added bonus I wasn’t expecting was being able to make homemade pizza dough in this as well with no fuss! A must have for the pasta enthusiast!

Kids said the spaghetti last evening was some of the best they have every had. Key is to ensure you use less water and continually add. Much easier than stand mixer yet still fun to make. Highly recommend.
