    It does not work according to the directions. When I push the up button, the cork remains in the bottle. I have had to pull up to get the cork out of the bottle, but then the cork won’t unattach from the wine opener. I’m beyond disappointed!!! This is more work than using a manual opener.

    The Cuisinart cordless wine opener is a nice addition to any home bar. The easy-to-operate device makes opening wine bottles a breeze. You must be patient with it, manually you can open a bottle quicker but it works well. I did not receive the one that was on sale before Christmas, they sent this one because the unit with the vacuum sealer was out of stock, no accommodations were offered when I called, just an excuse for the change.

    I purchased this corkscrew because the one I had purchased a few years earlier started to fail. I though it was time for an upgrade. Initially this worked just as the older one did when I first purchased it. But once I attempted to open a bottle of aged wine (6 years) the new corkscrew failed. It could not open the bottle of wine. It quit. This corkscrew is for consumers who are going to open new wine purchases. If you have a wine collection that has aged, you will be disappointed.

    This is my 4th cordless wine opener. Our last one is on its last legs. It labors on every cork.

    This one is brand new and it already sounds like it is laboring. But not as bad as our old one.

    I got a great deal on it, which is the only reason I bought it.

    I prefer the openers with the clear bottoms – so you can see the screw and the cord.

    But this was inexpensive – so, not bad.

    I cannot give a review of my experience. Wine openers were purchased as a gift for family and a coworker. They seemed pleased with the gift. Not sure how it works because not yet used. I purchased on Deal of the Day. Great deal.

    What has happened to Best Buy!? Terrible experience with this order. First best buy sent my order to an unknow address in another state. It took me 2 chats, 2 phone calls and 2 weeks to get them to send me another one to the store. I get notification the item was delivered to the store, i show up, show them my bar code and email and they can’t figure out the order. My name was clearly on it as well as the ship to store address. The manager ultmatley told me i would have to call the 800 numver (again) i asked if he could just do a refund and he could not. I was suppe to get this order on Dec 23rd and it is now Jan 17th. Im still out my $ and i dont have the product.

    This is just a motorized cork screw that is hard to keep straight and lacks power to finish the job. We went back to our manual opener.
