    Protected my eyes and was able to see the eclipse! Only downside is that they are not wearable and you have to hold them over your eyes.
    Will be saving for the next eclipse!

    Wish I could review this item. It rained all day of the eclipse in October. Fingers crossed for the total eclipse in April 2024. Seems ok

    Great Quality. Easily viewed eclipse and sturdy enough to save for April eclipse. 2 per package is a bonus. Trusted name in lenses so I didn’t worry cheap ones like in other stores would damage my family’s eyes. I’d buy them again but don’t need to because they are such good quality.

    These were the best shades for watching the eclipse! I had used some different ones in the past, and was not thrilled with them. They were flimsy and hard to view anything. These Celestrons are well made and easy to handle. The best thing was the magnification! For a glasses wearer like me that extra magnification helped turn a blurry view to a sharp event. These solar viewers are good enough to save for the next time.

    Easy viewing of the sun and eclipse. Color of the sun is not a clean white color in the image, but you can see some of the larger sun spots.

    These viewers were lightweight, easy to use and worked very nicely for us to watch the recent partial eclipse on 10/14/2023. Once it passed, we folded them back up and put them away to hopefully use for the upcoming total eclipse in 2024.

    Used these for the eclipse in October 2023. Overall, they worked relatively well. We could clearly see the sun and moon together. The 2x zoom didn’t seem that helpful, but I can’t imagine what it would be without it. They fold up a little bit, which makes them easier to store. But that also means that you have to squeeze them slightly while holding them (may be slightly more difficult for older folks). The hardest part is finding the sun in the sky while looking through them.

    The description says it will fit the lenses of a DSLR but it’s way too big for my 75mm lens. I was able to get it into place using rubber bands and it works perfect at filtering the sun. But it’s clearly designed only for use with a telescope, not with DSLRs too.
