MrFox –
The printer is easy to set-up both physically and to get it running on one’s home network. It is not too large and is relatively quiet. Looks pleasant. The only down side is that the paper tray is small. Print quality is good. Software is easy and supports the printer capabilities well. I have yet to see how long the small ink cartridges last. Has wroked well for first month of operation.
AnthonyH –
This is a great home printer. I love the large format capability.
MarcusR –
The printer has been fine so far. Easy setup and works great.
TLrey –
I absolutely had it with HP printers after nearly two decades of spotty performance and, more recently, horribly designed apps like HP Smart and Instant Ink. I considered Epson but Canon caught my eye based on positive reviews.
Absolutely love this printer and its ability to still operate efficiently using a USB cable instead of only on Wifi. The print quality is excellent, whether documents or photos. The scanner, whether individual sheets or use of the document feeder, is reliable. The use of multiple ink cartridges was new to me but seems to be well thought out.
It took me a while to figure out the Canon scan utility interface, but once I used it several times, it does meet my objectives. The only nitpik I have is that the user interface on my PC makes it feel like I’m going back to a 1990’s DOS system instead of a more modern HTML interface.
The footprint is larger than any other HP printer I’ve had. But I don’t mind it since it performs so well.
happycustomer –
Product is good, had to get acquainted with the features, all in all, it’s a quality product
Linda –
Great printer and love the ability to print larger prints.
Ilove2shop –
I had to return it because it wouldn’t allow me to add my passcode for Wi-Fi, apparently it’s an issue that some people have. I’m sad, because I actually liked the printer, but it wouldn’t connect wirelessly m.
Tonya23 –
Print quality it great, ink is reasonable fast and not loud!
JonL –
My second Canon printer, works very similarly to the other one. Document feeder is slow compared to larger copiers, but is a nice feature to have at home. Canon software can be a bit clunky however.
HaroldB –
The best printer i have ever owned. Very versatile. Great print quality.
BruceO –
So far excellent, however finding the USB port required me to examine all sides of the printer. The same was true for ethernet. Also, if I want to FAX something, I have been unable to find the place to plug in my CAT 3 phone cable.
AMHIII –
Pretty good. Not enough paper trays and not an easy way to add different photo paper. If it’s not 8.5×11 or something standard a paper size you have to use a feeder in the back. Easy to use and easy say to print wirelessly. Definitely slow to scan through the feeder but I’m usually not in a rush.

This printer had such great reviews and it was on sale, I decided to snag one. BIG mistake. From connection issues, to setting up, to a repeatable circle on their “set-up” screen, this has been one of the worst printers I’ve bought. HP is still #1 on the bottom but this was close. You have to follow their stupid set up book to guide you thru…you can’t make the printer discoverable from the home screen so that airprint will work from an iphone or ipad, their whole connection process is jumbled and an absolute mess. I sat for over an hour and didn’t get anywhere. I’m techy and have no issues setting stuff up, but this was absolutely ridiculous.
Brittany –
I love this printer already it works so well with a cricut machine! Definitely sticking to this again!
Moratorium –
Bought it for the blue tooth features. Works well. Small easy to set up. Prints very clear.
TSRoll –
Love that it can print on thick cardstock. I broke my old printer, never knowing that it couldn’t handle heavy duty cardstock.
It can print on longer paper too, which is great for larger projects and poster boards!
Nick –
Throw your old HP away and buy this printer. This is a great buy. I was pleasantly surprised!
MzSky –
Very pleased with the printer. Wireless setup was easy and with the included Canon photo paper tried printing from my iPhone right away. The pictures were great! Really like the duplex feature and documents feed for making copies. The auto on is great so I don’t have to worry about turning the printer on or off. Best Buy delivery was great. Highly recommend.
ChubbaeSavage –
Better than what I expected. I’m a crafter and this is a great printer for all my printing craft needs
RDSSS –
This is a nice printer that prints fast with good quality. It connects easily to my wifi or phone/tablet. I have had no mechanical issues.
Dano –
Bought for my wife who is a crafter works perfect for design images
JessyS –
I love my printer soooo much I want to get another just cause!!!!! Haven’t had issues yet
PattiI –
I like how fast it prints whatever I need done. Everything so far has been clean and clear. I wish the online manual would explain what all has to be down loaded to use either tray.
Knightcrawler –
Easy to setup and easy to use. Good all around printer scanner. Photos look beautiful and it comes with a starter pack of photo paper.
JanetteW –
Prints great looking pictures. Easy to setup on my WiFi a little difficult to set up scanning to my laptop
DeborahW –
Bought one and had to return it 2 days later. No driver. They wanted to charge me $99 to fix it. Returned to store and replaced with a new one. Im computer savvy nut could not get wifi to connect. Finally did and all worked beautifully for two weeks. Now can’t connect again. Airplay doesn’t work and tried bluetooth. Decided to return again because I like the features, but found out model was discontinued and no help is available for trouble shooting.
TRob –
This printer is excellent for a small business setting. Easy to set up and just as easy to use.
AzharA –
A nice printer a high quality results but the ink ran out sooo fast I don’t know why I only printed 50 pages
Frank –
A fine printer which does what we need it to do, which is not a lot. We do not use some of its features, but its printing speed and quality are very good. We used to have an MG 7520, however, and the one thing that this printer had that the 9521C does not was an automatic drop down front face when printing. Now when we print, we have to pull the front face of the 9521 C up and then pull out the paper receiving tray, neither of which we had to do with the 7520. This is annoying to say the least. Otherwise, we are pleased.
RonaldM –
Easy to set up and print.
Don’t like that you have to open the front to print.
JackR –
Easy setup, performed as expected, no issues, happy.
tootney2279 –
So far, so good. Very easy to use, love being able to print from phone or computer. good color, but haven’t used enough of those options to say how long the ink lasts.

I do not like the way you have to live the digital panel up to print from it. I need to be able to see the display and if you have to lift it up I can not see it. My other printer you did not have to leave ther tray out for it to print. It just printed when you hit print. To print you need to do 2 things or leave the tray out all the time. Other than those to things it looks nice and prints fine. I find it a pain to make adjustments to it before you print and to either leave it that way or close it back or open it all of the time.
CarolB –
Love this printer. It does everything i expected and more.
QueenofGreen –
Easy to use and setup. Quality pics and print. Good buy
DeniseY –
Good printer, easy set up and prints photos nicely.
Angel1 –
I’m only giving it a 4 star rating because it was purchased as a Christmas gift & therefore hasn’t been used yet. We’re hoping it is going to be what was hoped for.
JeannieJ –
Works well so far. I had an epsom cheapie printer that glitched about 4 months after I got it so I decided to spend more and go back to Canon. The one thing I don’t like is that it won’t print unless the paper holder that holds the printed pages is pulled out. Not a huge thing but it stops the whole process and you have to remember to do that or nothing happens. It prints at a fair speed and is a little loud but it works for now. I’ve had it about a month and have used it at work.
user187307 –
Both the box and the sales associate made it seem as if this could scan 12”x12” scrapbook pages, it doesn’t. It only prints 12×12 and scans 8.5×11 or 8.5×14. Disappointment.
TomV –
Horrible design! Control panel is hinged & has to be opened perpendicular to printer in order to use. Hinge will never last. Paper tray has to be pulled out too. Canon service could not connect with my printer for peripherals. So only bare minimum works. Print quality is nothing to write home about either. And claims that regular ink cartridges were included with unit ARE NOT TRUE. Only “starter” cartridges were included. So after about 30 pages printed it’s already showing low ink levels. Another classic example of poor quality consumer products & false advertising typical of BB, and a large corporation expanding into areas they don’t belong. Canon cameras are outstanding. Their printers STINK. DO NOT BUY.
Printer –
Nice printer, would buy again, much better than the last one I had
KimberlyT –
This is a wonderful Printer. It was more than I expected.
COCO –
Nice machine, set up is fairly easy, color is very good compared to a 50$. Papers using the templates come out nice enough to wrap a small gift. Photo paper is also nice. I’m a new user and tech challenged so of course I wish it was more user friendly but I think given time I’ll figure out how to make it do what I want.
Debra –
I’ve had this printer long enough to know DO NOT BUY if you plan on printing mostly from your smart phone. By far the worse user interface I’ve encountered.
ShanekaM –
Bought this printer and its not working. It’s jam whenever I try to print. Wish I hadn’t purchase!!
LeanneA –
This printer hasn’t performed very well. First, you have to physically open the front panel every time you print, so I can’t just print from another room and pick up the page later. Second, if you don’t initiate and scan through the Smart Connect app, the scan quality is garbage (so you can’t just tap the button on the printer’s touch screen). Third, the Smart Connect app often fails to find the printer for no apparent reason. I also find that the ink can smudge, and I never had this problem with my other printer, which is an HP that I’ve had for about a decade.
Peterales –
worked effortlessly as soon as I plugged it, easy to install software. this is my third Canon printer
Ronald –
Great printer for its value. High quality copies and easy to use.
EnchantedLotuss –
I brought this printer to use as an edible image printer for my cake business and it works amazing! (Of course with edible ink and paper)
