The prints are very good and Canon added a red ring around the printer to identify with the red ring around its professional lens. It prints poster size up to 17 x 22… Really nice quality prints. My clients love the pictures that I print for them with this printer….

I had been thinking about buying this printer for quite some time. when I finally decided to buy it, it didn’t disappoint. The extra colors really make a big difference in enhancing photos and bringing them to life. I would recommend this printer to anyone. This printer has got to be hard to beat.

The printer is very good. This is the only printer can print 17×25. I can print 16×24 using cut paper, no rolls. For me it’s a big deal. I have no complains about colors, gradation, noise or etc. However the software is not as good. It works well on PC, but i had a lot of problems using Mac with last software updates. So more complicated prints a have to use PC. Hate it but no choice.

This is an amazing professional printer. I have spent countless money sending my print orders out to large print houses and now I can just complete the same quality at home. Highly recommend for a photographer or artist with an interest in selling prints.
Pros: excellent quality and easy to set up
Cons: takes up a lot of space (if you have a small office), ink is a bit expensive to replace

Everything about printing at home is expensive, but you dont but a printer to save money.
Im loving the result im getting with the Imageprograf 1000.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to add another layer to their photography.

Prints are just amazing! Takes a little time to get it all set up and get the right settings. Few YouTube videos and now I’m loving it!

I chose this printer after about 6 months of analyzing the alternatives. It replaced my Pro-100. Out of the box everything worked. Setup is a bit complex, but faultless following direction carefully. To date I have printed more than 100 prints ranging from a few 8.5×11 up to a number of borderless 27×22’s, a bunch of 27×25’s and 17×36 panoramas. No jams, no ink clogging, simply flawless operation.
Prints are simply stunning. I use primarily 68# luster and semigloss stock, sometimes metallic. I read a lot of traffic on “wasted ink” used for its various cleaning cycles. I am happy that it keeps itself in good condition so that when I’m ready to print, it is also.
It has a cool feature that shuts the printer down when any of the ink cartridges are, I think, completely spent. My experience is that occurs about a week or so of printing after it first warn of low ink. Plenty of time to order and receive a replacement.

This is an amazing piece of machinery. The quality is definitely what you would except from a Canon product. I print mostly larger images on thick paper and canvas and was blown away by the detail and vibrancy. Maintenance consumes a lot of ink and there are a lot of expensive cartridges to replace, but haven’t found this quality print at home in any other printer.

This is not a printer for everyday people. Just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you need it. Most people will never print to this things capacity
With that said, it’s an awesome printer for professional photographers or people extremely invested in photography and wants control over their prints.
I took one star away because the Mobil app it uses must stay open while it’s printing. If you switch apps the print will stop where it is and eject the photo paper (basically wasting it). Be warned

Absolutely an awesome printer. The quality of the prints has been professional to say the least. I was worried about investing in such an expensive printer and I am happy that I made the investment. This is absolutely a pro level printer so be prepared to pay it in the up keep for ink and paper. I will say its worth every penny so far.

I purchased this printer and it gives great color. it’s also easy on ink. However, it has broken twice now in two years. Both times it stopped taking sheets from the auto sheet feeder. We’ve tried everything to get it to work but it seems a defect in the feed mechanism.
This time Best Buy refused to honor the extended four year warranty, saying I cancelled it, which is just ludicrous.

This is a really good printer. Do not buy this printer if you have no experience with printing or other printers. The learning curve is not for the first timer, you will be disappointed. If you are experienced, with a lot of experimenting you will be very pleased with your purchase.
