    Great for EF lenses use on RF mount cameras, I use two Tamron G2 series (24-70mm/70-200mm both f2.8) on a Canon EOS R they work just as intended. Lense stabilization and autofocus works normally.

    I purchased a Canon R6 with RF 24mm105mm F4-7.1 kit lens. The lens is okay but it feels kind of flimsy and I’m not completely happy with the result. I purchased the EF-EOS lens mount adapter so I could get some more versatility and use my EF glass, which I feel gets much better results for the type of shooting I do — primarily live concert photography.

    It doesn’t have the control ring but that’s fine. The main thing is that it ensures your EF glass works as though it were RF glass and doesn’t add a ton of weight to the camera. There are two annoying things: In order to change lenses, you have to take off the entire lens with the mount, then take the lens off. Then you have to add the new lens to the mount and put back on the camera. It’s not the most efficient thing to do if you’re out in the field or on a shoot. Also if you have a lens with infinity focus, that motor whirrs and buzzes endlessly for some reason or another. But you have to really be paying attention or in a quiet environment to really notice it.

    Besides that, so far no complaints. It’s a good option to continue to use your EF glass that you already spent a ton of money on already.

    Paired this with my R10 and it hasn’t had a single issue with any of my EFS or EF lenses. Makes the jump to a mirrorless camera from a Rebel or D series way more painless.

    It does add about an inch of length to your lens when attached, so longer lenses start looking a little silly, and short pancake lens lose a little of what makes them compact.

    Also, EF lenses are much more available and affordable on the used market, so this becomes an amazing asset for quality and savings.

    I am very happy that this Canon EF to RS exist. I can continue using my old Canon EF lenses and taking great pictures with my Canon R8 mirrorless camera. This adapter is super easy to mount, well built and it has saved me over 3 grants since I own three Canon EF lenses and I don’t have to buy any new Canon EOS R lense. This is a great investment from my perspective.

    After ten years my D40 stopped working and needed a new camera. R100 was fitting my budget but then what about my EF fast lenses I had with D40? Well, this adapter solved that problem. It snaps nicely on R100 and then my EF lenses fit nicely on top of this adapter. I am back in the business with all my previous investment in lenses in tact!

    If you are looking to use your old EF-S lenses on a new mirrorless camera, then this product is for you. However, with my experience, I am limited to a Crop Scenor frame for each EF-S lens when using it on my mirrorless full frame camera. Overall, product still works great and can ebe used for a variety of situations.
