The raspberry pi is one of the coolest computers ever.. They are extremely customizable. You can learn how to code and program computers. This can be used and set up as a NES emulator. For the price it’s a really powerful computer.

I have used a CanaKit before and think they’re great. However, when I ordered this one through BestBuy I received an obviously used/returned product. The case, power supply, SD card, and one HDMI cable were all missing. The heat sinks had been used and were stuck together. The wires on the fan had been cut.
I am uncertain why this would have been accepted as a return, but it never should have been resold. To be clear, this was not listed as “open box”, I was supposed to be receiving a brand new item. After talking with BestBuy support, this was sold through a third party even though there was no indication when I made the purchase that it was not shipping from BestBuy directly. BestBuy phone support was incredibly unhelpful, ultimately requiring that I go to a brick and mortar store to resolve the issue.

I bought this device to use as my own personal server for small projects. It was super easy to set up, I followed a YouTube tutorial and was surprised how easy it was.I can even just SSH into the pi instead of plugging it in to a keyboard and monitor every time, which is fantastic.

Luckily I’ve had experience with Linux-based systems in the past, but this was auper simple to out together and install necessary software. I’m using it to power an arcade cab, but even if you’re using the provided OS, a novice can get there easily.
