I give Brothers 6 stars the reason is that I’ve had mine for 23+ years MFC-J630W and i have had no problem getting ink, the tray is coming apart and is now obsolete, and I have to look for upgrade on it time to time, and I do a lot of printing, maintenance is a job everything needs, and if you can’t do that get some else to do it for you.

I am very disappointed with this product. Have tried to set up the printer with a wireless connection but it just won’t do it. I must use a usb cord to get a connection between the printer and my computer. I’ve called Brother Service Rep. and after hours they will get the printer connected then after a day or two the wireless connection will drop, and I’ll have to start the process all over again. I already have a Brother printer that I’ve owned for years and connecting wireless has never been a problem. I feel that this PARTICULAR PRINTER is TRASH.

I bought this at Staples. This is the worst printer! Put in a NEW cartridge and five printed pages later it says it’s low on ink and won’t print! This happened multiple times. Have to clean heads every time before printing to get a print and not a blank sheet of paper. I have owned Brother products in the past, but I’m done. Will never buy another Brother product again. Someone on the Staples website wants to start a class action lawsuit. That’s how bad this printer is. The only way Brother can assist me, is to give me a refund for this printer and ink.

Decent home printer. Easy set up. Easy to use. Wireless connection. Compatible with my MacBook Pro and the Monterey operating system. Bought this model to replace another Brother printer (MFC-J475DW), that I really liked but Brother is no longer updating printer drivers for this model and Mac operating systems. Extremely frustrating. Old printer worked great and feel like this is forced obsolescence of a still good machine designed to get people to buy new products prematurely.
