This is an excellent, excellent machine. The frothing arm element makes this so much more versatile in what it can create and how. It has a little nozzle where it gives you instant hot water, which almost fully eliminates my need for a kettle for tea, too.
You’ll want to also spring for the cleaning tool kit too, because the frothing nozzle can get clogged and simply soaking it in hot water won’t cut it.
Most importantly, considering how much money my husband and I spend on coffees outside of the house, this thing paid for itself in three months time. An excellent, excellent investment.

Purchased on 11/27/23 and let me tell you! At first I was going to return it because I thought it was faulty. I followed the instructions and it would not let me do the initial flush and it would beep for 2 sec and it would want to start over. I had to wait almost 2 days and retry it and it worked. I read on Reddit that these can have an issue with the initial flush but over all after that it works great.

After months and months of picking up and putting down the box, I finally purchased the Barista Express and was ready to jump into the world of of pretending I was a barista at the local coffee shop. Before opening the box, I sat back down and watched a few videos on the difference between the Express and Pro and about 2 hours later, I was back at Best Buy exchanging the express for the Pro. A big difference is the immediate heating system and the digital interface. Having the digital timer/display is a must when it comes to creating the perfect extraction. I’ve had so much fun trying out different types of beans. If you are always going to mix your espresso with milk or other flavors, the factory settings are probably okay. If you are really interested in getting into pulling the best shot possible, the digital readout is a must. Weighing and timing each bean type has made the process so much fun. Note: I don’t think this thing can ever produce the perfect shot you would get with a truly professional grade espresso machine but its has been a blast trying.

Love my Barista Pro! Much better performance compared to a Barista express. Asides from basic functions other espresso machines offer, I love the Barista Pro’s grinder and the display is a game changer. This allows to adjust water temperature easily which is important depending beans you brew.
