    Better than waiting in line at certain coffee spots. Espresso is a new hobby I picked up. You can slowly get the various tools for this bad boy, but it comes with what you need. Great machine. Don’t forget to dial in those beans.

    What can I say. Hands down the best espresso machine. I was getting coffee from starbuck everyday sometime twice a day for the last 10 years till my son brought me n my wife this machine for our bday. We haven’t been to starbuck ever since. It take a a bit while to get it going like how u want setting up the machine and setting up the coffee grind to the way you want it. Once u set u good to go. I gotta say making coffee at home with the breville expresso machine taste a lot better and a whole lot stronger then starbuck would recommend to anyone that is looking for espresso machine

    Love this machine! Major upgrade from the one we had. Makes delicious espresso, we even like them better than Starbucks coffee. Very practical and easy to use. To my surprise upon registering the product we received a box full of accessories, mugs, scale, espresso glass shots, all the works to get us going. Definitely worth the investment.

    My wife was diagnosed with diabetes and can no longer indulge in sweets. However she still is a big coffee fan and drinks her coffee black with cream. So this was our first venture into home espresso machines. After reading countless reviews, I was comfortable buying the Breville Barista Express. It was cheaper than most higher end espresso machines. This is due to the older technology. But older isn’t bad. There are pros and cons to each machine. I wanted a quality coffee or cappuccino and this BBE delivers just that. I’ve had this machine for almost a month. I’ve never pulled a shot of espresso before this BBE entered my kitchen. I will honestly say that I’ve personally never made a cup of coffee of this quality before. I’ve owned the K pod system for years and thought the personal choice of coffee was a game changer. I was wrong. This BBE will bring excitement into your life. Your taste buds will slap you for denying them this pleasure before you purchased this yourself. Do your family and friends a favor and buy the Breville Barista Express. At 699 this thing is worth it.

    I found it hard to clean, the steam wand is wonky, and the machine slides too much when you tighten the porta filter. I like the DeLongi better. This one would be OK if it was like $400… but way overpriced IMO.

    Absolutely love this espresso machine. Takes a few tries in the beginning to really dial in ratios correctly but once you find the sweet spot with your beans it really sings.

    Love love love my Breville! It’s a real treat to wake up on a weekend morning and make myself a cappacino. Still trying to master the foam, but I’m sure that will come with practice. Struggled a bit initially setting things up, I had a less fancy Breville espresso maker in the past and it was pretty much good to go from the box. This one is different with a lot more bells and whistles. there is no denying the learning curve – but once I managed to bridge the gap – there’s no going back!

    Coffee just as good as any other way cheaper machine.
    Water drips down a tray, what an inconvenient feature, if I knew that I would never have purchased this item. Big, takes too much counter space. I would NOT recommend. You can get just as good coffee for a fraction of the price.

    We use this every day and take great care of it. We use a better grinder next to it. We’ve dialed in our beans and get great pulls. Perfect for a first time home barista trying to get into it. Buy this, use it for a few years while saving for a nicer one, or just keep rocking this until it dies.
    Only complaints I can think of: agian, the grinder is unncessary – most people will want to weigh their beans and use a little better grinder. Only other issue is i’m surprised how quickly I need to change the rubber O-ring on the dispenser thingy. so ya, regular maintenance and this baby will last a long time and work for a while.
