Being an avid Braun user for years this model improves on an already great design. Being completely waterproof and super lightweight, it does everything my previous 7 series did just better. The blades are better and the base station is more stable and secure. My favorite part is they moved the trimmer to the back and it is now a side up feature instead of a flip open feature, meaning all the stubble doesnt get caught in the operating mechanisim anymore! 10/10 would buy again!

Had not used an electric razor in over 25 years but wanted to get a new one. Last one was a Norelco from the early 1980’s. Did some research on razers and the Braun brand had some high ratings, so I went with the Braun – Series 9. So far I like the razor. Clean up is easy and like the auto clean feature. No complaints so far. Have not used it for the wet shaving feature.

It’s a great gift purchase for your man in your life. I gifted it to my partner and he likes the product. The only drawback is that it doesn’t appear to cut all the small stubbles from around the jaw line area so it’s not a smooth shave unless you run the machine past your jawline a thousand times. So he ended up using a shaver to finish the job, which I don’t like because he often cuts himself while shaving his face. On balance, it’s very good at removing long hairs/really grown beards/mustache. But doesn’t guarantee a smooth look for use every day without the use of a shaver to finish the job.

I’ve owned the Braun series 5 for years, and as long as you shave every day, It gives a good shave. But after 2 days growth, it tends to pull and pinch, causing irritation. I’ve now used the new series 9 with a 4 day beard, and it shaves very smooth without pinching or pulling. There may be shavers that shave closer, but for those of us that only shave once or twice a week, it can’t be beat for smoothness.

This replaced my old Series 7 (physically broke after 8ish years) which is no longer manufactured. The series 9 lighter than the 7. Shaving quality is awesome. The cleaning base is new and not compatible with older units. But the liquid cartridges are the same. Cleaning cycle seems shorter/quicker than my old 7 series. Plus, the new one has a dryer function.

In my experience with the Serious 9 device, I faced a significant quality issue after a year of use when the power switch fell out. Seeking a resolution, I sent the device to a service center, which seemed to be operated by a third party. Unfortunately, Braun’s customer service was unable to provide any updates regarding the service process. This lack of communication and the unprofessional demeanor of the service center staff were disappointing. This experience falls short of the standard set by reputable companies, which often replace defective products to maintain customer satisfaction and uphold their brand image.
