I did a lot of research on in ceiling speakers. Went to multiple Magnolia home theater stores and got the same answer. If u have a budget u can throw it out the window. I first bought the CCM664SR as a center channel paired with 4 CCM663 and I could definitely hear the difference from 663 to 664. I than ordered the 663SR which was another $150 but well worth the money. I’m completely satisfied with my B&W home theater system.

THESE OWN! Sound quality coming from MAG6Rs are night and day, Love these speakers. Have them all through my house powered by Sonos AMPS.

I’ve purchased these SR speakers to replace my existing B&W ceiling speakers ( for return) that were already in use. Since these speakers have directional tweets for moving sounds, these are ideal! Unfortunately, I had to return them under advisement & options ( existing speakers were outside of return policy) by my installer. I should have purchased these earlier but it wasn’t discussed or mentioned by my Best Buy in-home consultants (more like sales representatives). Although I have B&W speakers that are not designed for surround sound, my surround sound is still exceptional but I’m curious of what my sound sounds should have been. All B&W are excellent speakers. You can’t go wrong with them.
