We purchased the sounder to replace a 4 year old Bose Lifestyle 650 system that started having audio problems. We also added the sub woofer and rear channel speakers at the same time to duplicate what we had with the Lifestyle.
The components are controlled with the Bose Music app. After all pieces were added to the app, you can control every individual speaker. Like a lot of bass, turn it up and make your floors rattle. Too much, adjust it down. Increase the volume of your rear surround speakers to catch all the action.
This concept really makes a lot more sense than having everything included in one system. One conponent fails, just replace the it and the rest continue to work. A money saver.
Extended warranty protection is one important thing to consider when making the purchase of these components. When we bought the Lifestyle back in 2019, we purchased a warranty from Bestbuy. After contacting Bestbuy with our problem, we were credited back our entire purchase price of the system. Will this happen in every case, I can’t say. We were issued BB gift cards with which we purchase the replacement Bose system components. Oh, and we also purchased another 4 year warranty on each piece.
It’s fairly early days on our new purchases, but based on present performance, I would definitely recommend the purchase of these pieces if you really enjoy having great sound both on regular tv, but all the great content from streaming sources.
One thing to add around the speakers: They pair great with the available speaker stands that Bose offers as an accessory. Especially if need them to be free standing and there is nowhere to place them such as on a bookshelf or other furniture behind your seating.

Best rear speakers I could find. Typically noone jumps straight to the most expensive surround sound first. I will say Ive bought and returned several speakers before settling with Bose. You might as well go straight to the good stuff because you’ll be returning stuff like I did.

Live TV doesn’t output much from these even after adjusting levels. Movie quality is ok but they seem to be a bit weak; they’re only ~20 ft from the soundbar too.

Definite upgrade over the previous wireless surrounds from Bose. These have a much more pronounced effect. The only complaint I have is with the way they look when using the stands, which I do. The stand is almost as thick as the speakers (they are remarkably small) so it looks more like a pole on each side of the couch instead of a speaker on a thinner stand. They sound excellent though.

Not as loud as the smaller, squared surround Bose speakers I had previously. These are fantastic and I paired them with the 700 sound bar and base module. I am a film buff and honestly my wife and I love watching movies in our home theater!

I had to return these as I couldn’t justify the expense after buying the 900 soundbar and subwoofer that were big bucks as is. In trying them out I couldn’t tell they were there. If you are watching or listing to content with Atmos all the time you probably would, but not yet as Atmos isn’t that widespread. For everyday use, dont waste your money on any of this equipment.

These are definitely worth the purchase as long as you set them up correctly using the Adaptiq calibration and settings correctly on your tv. Took me a couple days to mess with the sound to get it right, but once i did it they really make it worth it on entertainment for movies and video games

These Bose surround sound 700 speakers are incredibly good. I really love playing with them learning them and getting to enjoy them at the same time. I still think they are overpriced. I can’t help but feel that way because I am bluntly honest I paid for them. I feel like I can be honest and tell you the truth about these speakers. They really do sound incredibly good. I hooked them up and thought what could really come out of these. They are so small but let me tell you they are powerful. You really can enjoy them depending on what you watch on TV and listen to if things are recorded real good then it really comes out in the speaker there are a lot of people there are putting towels over their speakers. I have not tried that yet I may do it later I don’t know, but summarize my opinion, I made a good buy. I would recommend them to anyone else they are some powerful and 40 W speakers to be so small. Don’t hesitate go buy them now they work well with this 900 sound bar.
