I read a lot of reviews from people who love their Bosch induction cooktop. Nobody seems to mind that you need reading glasses to read the control panel or that the printing is difficult to see clearly. The burner controls all share the same power setting selector after you have first selected a burner to use. When you want to use a different burner, you have to select it first, from a burner selection area, then set the burner control. Want to return to a different burner again? You have to first select that burner, then adjust the controls for it. It is very easy to mix them up when using multiple burners, and mistakenly adjust the wrong burner.
Then you have the built-in safety shutoff feature. Sounds good, right? Not if you wish to simmer a pot of sauce or broth for an entire day. The burners shut off after 2, 3, or 4 hours. The higher your heat setting, the shorter the time to shut off. That means you have to stay nearby to restart the burner, or your pot cools down until you notice it has shut off.
Very frustrating when you are trying to simmer a recipe for a full day.
Then, the power settings 1-9, cycle power to the burners on-off, on-off, on-off repeatedly, to maintain a lower than “high” setting. That feature fails to work as designed occasionally (about once per week in our case) and the burner stays on high longer than it should, causing sauces, broths, etc. to boil over, or blow the lid off the pot, creating a mess all over the cooktop and adjoining surfaces.
These are all problems we never had with our previous induction cooktops and stoves (Frigidaire, Kenmore).
This is the first, and last bosch cooktop I will ever own.

I installed my Bosch Benchmark 36″ built in Induction cooktop and love it! It took some time to learn how to set the temperature levels, but after a little bit of time have adjusted from my gas cooktop the induction. Love the instant speed of heat and instant off of heat! I can’t believe that Induction cooking is still so unknown. I think everyone should have induction cooktops.

It’s pretty lame that I don’t get reward points anymore with out using your stupid credit card. even though I have TotalTech.
I guess I’ll start shopping elsewhere.

This cooktop is awesome. No knobs to get in the way. Boil water for coffee within 2 minutes. My wife loves it!
