The Best Buy Essentials soft shell case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max it’s a good inexpensive thin profile case that still offers some protection from small drops and scratches. What I like about this case is how it fits the iPhone 15 Pro Max like a glove. Don’t expect this case to provide protection like the bulkier cases. If drop protection is a must, I recommend a much more thicker case. It’s thin enough that my MagSafe accessories still work like my wireless charger and MagSafe wallet. I would still be cautious about it though, especially with MagSafe wallets. The cutout for the USB C port is large enough for most USB C cables. Since the case it’s thin the cutout for the action button doesn’t interfere when pressing the action button.
Overall I like this case, it allows me to show off the color of the Blue Titanium without making my phone bulkier. It’s almost barely there I might say. The best part is how inexpensive it is. As far as yellowing goes, Best Buy does indicate it’s been tested for up to 120 hours. Time will tell if it stands against the UV rays of the sun.

Let’s be honest, the fruit company cases are far too expensive, so was keen to find an alternative as a case on a $1000+ phone is a must. The Best Buy essentials case is at the value end of the case spectrum. It’s made of soft plastic (I think it’s TPU) which has always been my favorite type of case because they’re light, easy to get on/off and don’t add bulk. This type of plastic has historically been prone to yellowing, so not sure how well it will hold up longer term.Where the case is good is has great side and back protection, good bumpers and raised edges for the lens. Where I was surprised and a little disappointed, is the front (screen) side offers no real protection. There’s no raised lip that will protect your phone when it’s face down on your desk or invariably when your phone falls on the sidewalk. I feel this a big miss. I will say that the (possible) trade off is the case works very well with a glass screen protector. So pairing this case with a screen protector is a must. But there is one other miss and that’s MagSafe doesn’t really work. This case doesn’t have it’s own MagSafe magnet and while you can kind-of use MagSafe accessories with the case, they don’t hold firmly – so I would advise against using this case with a MagSafe car holder, or even with a MagSafe wallet as the case is just a little too thick to allow the magnet to properly work. Overall, I think this is a good first case, backup case, just got your phone and need a case fast and now but if you need MagSafe or screen protection, you may want to look for an alternative.

If you’re looking for a simple cover to prevent scratches and scuffs, consider this one. I don’t tend to drop my phone but I imagine this cover would in fact protect it from cracking at certain heights.

I like the feel of this soft plastic clear case. Installation was simple and it fit with my screen protector. I think when getting a affordable case like this your after looks and low profile vs protection. There is a decent amount of lip protecting the camera module. As the the screen it has a raised edge along the top and the bottom but pretty flush on the sides. It maxes my max really easy to hand hold. The downfall is that the case is smooth and can get slippery quick. I worry about dropping it since there is very low protection. As for the clear look. It shows the nice navy blue of my phone and has a slight textured look on the back. However it is not MagSafe so does not work with a lot of my chargers. I need to lean on usbc cabled charging. To be expected for the price. The buttons are easy to press and accurate. As for the cut out on the bottom. There is a decent amount of room so that ia good since that is the only way to charge the phone. The only concerns I have are if it yellows overtime or the slipperiness of the case. In a warm climate this phone can fall out of your hands fast.

So I received my Best Buy Essentials Soft Shell Case for iPhone 15 Pro Max a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. How to apply and use this case is pretty self-explanatory, simply just pop your phone into the case. While there’s not really anything spectacular about this case, I do love the fact that you can use it to show off your iPhone 15 Pro Max color. On the left side of the case you have the cut outs for the Action Button (which is an actual cut-out). Since having the 15 Pro Max, I tried a few cases both with the cut-out or an actual button. I like the cut-out better. At least for me it keeps me from accidentally activating the Action Button. Just below the Action Button are the Up and Down Volume Buttons. At the bottom of the case are the cut-outs for the Speaker, Mic, and USB-C Charing port. And on the right side is the Power Button. This case does not have MagSafe which is not necessarily a deal-breaker because due to the thinness of the case, you can use MagSafe devices through the case. They may not be as strong but its at least doable. This case would be great for anyone looking to show of the color of their phone without the need of MagSafe. The sides of the case does not have any grooves so it could possibly be slippery at times, so just be aware of that. All in all, I love the case.

I found this case to be sufficient if you only need basic protection for your phone or want to showcase the phone and not your bulky case. It would not do much for a drop or faceplant, but it will keep your phone’s back and sides from being scratched. It offers minimal drop protection, but ensures you can see the phone. This is not a magsafe case, so it requires other options to use for this purpose, even thought it allows wireless charging with ease. Since my iPhone 15 Pro Max costs to the high side of $1000, this case would not make me feel comfortable as a daily use case.
