    I bought this on sale as a Christmas gift for my parents and they loved it! We tested it out slicing leftover Christmas ham and it worked great. Construction seems solid and slices are very consistent.

    It is very stable, simple to operate, and works particularly well with deli meats and with semi-frozen slabs.

    The good: Price – can’t be beat

    The bad: Blade spins a bit too slowly. Blade spins in wrong direction to keep food on the slicing tray. Thickness setting does not lock and constantly gets thicker and thicker unless you hold it tightly (need 3 hands for this). Meat that is not semi-frozen will tend to get shredded, especially chicken and turkey breast.

    So far I’ve used for chicken, turkey, brisket, and bacon.

    I bought the slicer in August of 2022. I have used it 6-8 times for slicing meat; 1 1/2″ thick top round for jerky, smoked pork loin for sandwich meat, and so on. I got it out for corned beef this past St. Pat’s Day – the blade was frozen, would not spin but I could hear the motor turning. I called B.B. about the Mfg. 2 year parts and labor warranty and I was told to make an appointment with the Geek Squad. I did that. When I got there, I was informed that no service was done there on this type of appliance; contact Bella. No thanks, for a $40 on sale slicer, I’m not going to mess with shipping back to China! I will disassemble it now, void the warranty, and see if I can repair it. I’ve repaired Hobart commercial products, they are worth it after years of use. This Bella is a fix or toss (scrap metal?). I can see why it is a clearence item now. Good move, BestBuy!

    After a few months, I have a chance to use this slicer. It is not as powerful as the pro machine, of course. However, it will get the job done if you are patient. The thickness control board needs to be redesigned. If you put more pressure on it, you get a thicker slice. For slicing meat, you must free it first to get good slices.

    The slicer is fine but it id not as heavy duty and durable as I would have wanted it.

    Many parts are made of plastic so not for commercial usage but for home use it is perfect in my opinion. The motor is pretty strong so slicing frozen meats is no problem, just need to go slow and easy. One positive note is that I find it easy to clean after each use.

    It does not cut deli meat evenly. We had trouble getting thin slices. It does have a sharp blade though.

    It worked great the 1st three times that I used it. The 4th that I used it the gears would make a grinding noise every time I tried slicing meat and it would no longer slice anything. This is not what you want! If you’re looking for some that will last. I wish that I could give it zero stars.

    This is the first slicer I have ever owned. It is very user friendly, easy to use, not too complicated to clean.

    This unit has several issues that keep it from being recommended. The tray doesn’t stay parallel which results in the back being cut by the blade. Any pressure on the adjustable backplate makes it move and makes the slices larger. And after one year the gears inside broke so the blade doesn’t turn. Spend a little more for a decent unit.

    I had it for a month but this was the first time using it went to slice some mozzarella cheese and started smoking right away worse product I’ve ever gotten from best buy.

    I was lucky enough to get this item for around $27. It is very simple to use for the beginner. I have sliced whole boneless pork loin, white and sweet potatoes, and block cheese with this appliance. I recommend keeping the box since it doesn’t include a cover to keep from dust and other debris attaching itself to the slicer. When guest see this appliance they believe that I paid a substantial amount of money for it.

    Called about it smelling Hot/burning said it was cause it was new. Called back later & told nothing they can do it was out of warranty. Not considering the first time I called. Made from plastic parts doesnt hold up.
