If you hate headphones that just sound like thumping muddled bass, or headphones that sound like you’re listening through a tin can, studio headphones are for you. These sound amazing. Tuned “flat” so that the entire range of sound is basically equal. I LOVE these. But headphones are personal, so I’d suggest trying to listen to them before buying. I took a chance, and luckily I didn’t regret it.
One weird feature: the cord isn’t removable, and is LONG. Like, 10 feet long. It’s no joke. So be warned.

I purchased these headphones for home studio recording, and they are absolutely fantastic. Noise cancelling, fit great, the low end and high end ranges are excellent. I would recommend to anyone seeking modestly-priced headphones.

I’ve owned a pr. of $100 Koss Pro, JVC and the 4 speaker V-MODA lp2’s. The M-Series ATH-M30 Professional Monitor Headphones 40mm tuned for low frequency 15Hz-20kHz These definitely are as advertised – for mixing, recording or to just sit and relax and really appreciate the incredible sound! To my surprise these are circumaural meaning that they do not rest ON the ear, but rather contour AROUND the ear in an narrow width, high slotted opening that isolates excellently!

If you are never going to take them out from the studio, this are the BEST option, light weight, comfortable, great brand and awesome audio.

The quality of this product is great! Very comfortable and easy to use.

A great pair of closed back headphones. If you own previous Audio Technica, then you know it’s pretty quality stuff.

I bought these for recording, and they serve their purpose. Comfortable fit and long cord for moving around while recording/playing music.
I wouldn’t recommend these for everyday listening like Bose or Beats headphones, but these are great for listening to music while playing along and/or recording music.

Good headphones for mixing and producing music, they also cancel noise really well.
After about an hour though, my ears do get a little sore but that’s with most headphones.

Great set for the money. I play kit drums and use these to keep the sound down to a minimum…they work great! I love the long cord as it gives me freedom of movement when I plug into the mixer and jam out with other players. Handy use with the 1/4″ and the screw on 3.5 mm adapter…perfect as I always seem to lose those darn adapters. The set comes with a nice carrying/storage bag, as well.

Sound is really good and I would highly recommend it!

Love these headphones. They sound excellent, and they are comfortable enough for longterm use or casual use.

These have a great build quality. Not cheaply made. But they hurt my ears only after having them on for a few minutes. Overall, I’m kinda disappointed by these headphones. For $70 I really expected more because I had my eye on these for while. I’m returning them soon. . .

I am mainly using this headphone with electric guitar amp, and sometimes plug in to my YAMAHA TSR-7850 receiver watching movies or music videos. For the price, it has good sound quality and no annoying loud sound or buzzing bass. On the other hand, it is not too heavy and sits good on head, you can even do headbanging with it!!
I can play hours electric guitar with this headphone plugged in and my ears are not gonna be tired. Even when I am listening music via iPhone,it is OK (not as good as BOSE headphones with noise cancellation).
Bottom line, this headphone is robust for loud music and bass (if you are looking for high dynamic bass, don’t go with this headphone).
I am happy with my purchase.

They are really heavy on the head and can’t wear them after about an hour or so. Wasn’t really worth the price I gave.

Excellent sound quality. My teenager loves them. This is the second pair I have bought as my first son loved them so much.

Great fitting and looking headphones, great quality

While the headphones are built well, portable/foldable, and come with nice accessories (bag, adapter), I found them to be very uncomfortable by the 1 hour mark. Perhaps that’s because I wear glasses, so you might want to look elsewhere if that’s your case as well.
But regardless, I didn’t find the sound to be great. Songs that I am familiar with lack the bass and often times, these were no better sounding than the $20 MDR-ZX110 headphones from Sony.
I will admit that the headphones are durable and will last much longer than those Sony headphones. The cord length is also incredibly long, which is annoying when you’re already near your computer/phone.
Regg –
Great sound and no outside noise. The cost was good. Only thing is the cord os not removal and is very long.
IamPK13 –
They work well but they are a little tight on my head.
JoshR –
Good comfort and reliable, but not loud enough for Being a DJ
BigFudge –
Solid build and neutral sounding cans. Great entry/intermediate headphones for studio work.
Trombonetom –
Reviewing headphones is such a challenging thing to do because headphones are such a personal purchase. It’s hard for me to recommend monitors in general because depending on what you’re using these for, they may be perfect, or you might want something else.
I use these for audio monitoring in video production, and they’re great for that. They have a broad spectrum sound that allows me to pick out small details or unwanted noise. Are these the best for music? Probably not since they have a bit of a generic sound profile to my ears, but they still fantastic for the price.
