    My Mom Loves her New Phone! It was a surprised gift for Mother’s Day. She says it rings very loud(she has hearing aids) & the numbers are easy to see w/o her reading glasses.

    As more and more people cut the cord and drop their landline for wireless, cordless phones are going the way of wired phones, into the museum. Still, there are plenty of people that get cheap or free wired phone service that want a cordless option. I bought this one for an elderly relative who doused the old one into a glass of ginger ale. This phone has an important feature that has been dropped from almost all new cordless phones: the ability to assign a directory number to a single digit 2-9 that enables one press and hold calling. No scrolling through the directory, no pressing the green button, just pick up the phone, press and hold the single digit to dial. If you have an elderly person in your household, this feature is priceless. I paid for an answering machine they don’t need just to get this feature.

    When my cordless phones of many years recently quit working, I replaced them with a different cordless phone set from a different store. It wasn’t until I had them set up and fully charged that I discovered my hearing aids required a different design for them to properly deliver the sound to me. I couldn’t hear anything much beyond a whisper! That set went back to the store where they were purchased and I bought the AT&T cordless phone set at Best Buy. I quickly set them up and, before they were fully charged, I called my landline number from my cell phone to check out the sound. They were perfect!!! I hope AT&T knows that they have perfected their phone design with this model for folks who wear hearing aids.

    Has the main features I was looking for and then some. Like the clearer backlit screen and somewhat larger size. secondary base phone is nice – just need an outlet to plug in the cradle.

    I was concerned because I was switching this for another phone and didn’t know if I’d be without phone service while charging them. So I tried without hooking it up to my landline and they charged just fine. That gave me time to enter in the directory from the old phone one number at a time, double checking to make sure I put in the right numbers. Then all I had to do was record my outgoing message and hook them up to the landline. It didn’t take long to adjust to using it and so far I have no complaints. I didn’t realize that it does tell you WHO is calling if you let it ring more than two times and I do get a giggle at some of the pronunciations.

    My Mom Really Likes Her New Phones. But I One Thing The answering machine on it sometimes when you play back your messages, it’s harder for the machine to say the name is correctly or stuff like that

    We needed to replace our 88 year old mothers landline phone which had done their duty too long.
    These AT&T phones have nice large numbers and face that is easy to see and read. Hopefully they’ll last as many years as the previous phones.

    I’m looking for a landline phone for my business and I needed to handset that ring separately from the base. I asked associate and this was the phone they gave me and told me that both handset should ring they didn’t so then I took it back and got another one another brand same thing they still didn’t ring either and was told that they do so they don’t ring separately from the port

    Good basic cordless phone with answering machine. Numbers are large and backlit. The only downside so far is to erase single messages, the delete button has to be hit while the message is playing.
