Purchased this and Best Buy assembled my computer parts for me at no cost with my Total Tech membership! Motherboard does everything I need it to and works flawlessly!

Very good stuff, love the Bluetooth and WiFi connectors that make it worth the high end price point

Not too sure what makes any of the MOBO better than the other but this one pairs well with what I have on it. EVGA 3090ti, 12th i912900ks, vengeance pro 64gb ram, 1 2tb sn850x Nvme and 1 1tb sn850 Nvme. Multiple options for RGB additions. Wish these boards came with more usb 2.0 slots but 2 seems to be the norm. Please read your manual as there is a whole lot of useful info there.

Replaced 3 times before Best but recommended me another several different issues

With a quick flash of the bios I was up and running. Super easy to install and looks awesome in the case.
Marty –
This was my first build in many, many years. Glad I picked this one. Documentation was great, BIOS was up to date, all good.
TBone –
I have absolutely no issues with this motherboard. I did a lot of research before buying one and this turned out to be a good choice for the newest intel 12900KS CPU. The only way this could be better is if ASUS provided easier ways to update the BIOS. An included software disc or equivalent way to update the without having to jump through many steps would have been nice.

Asus Z690 e is a awesome match for the 12 series I9
Jake –
Motherboard works well, slightly overpriced for what you very, but glad to get wife 6e and bluetooth built in
Keys –
Great Motherboard, I would highly recommend it over the z790 due to the extra sata ports.
fftdelita –
One of the best purchases I have made. The Z690-E motherboard is powerful and has a lot of versatility from every day gaming to extended game play. The WiFi capabilities + bluetooth make this motherboard shine from the other models.

Asus needs to step it up way to expensive for what it is

This is the real deal! Must have for new builds!!!

Having issues with the PC lagging while playing game.
Took to Geek Squad and they said it’s a bad motherboard.

Mastery of the mystical arts is powered by this motherboard. At the heart sits a fire breathing dragon known as i9 the 13900k.
Joesal –
Pretty much the same performance as the Z790 chipset so why pay that much more.
Salamander –
Eh.. I’ve always had issues with ASUS MB’s and this one was no different. Around 6 months is all this one lasted before the PCI-e GPU slot went out on me. And I installed the GPU once and never touched it after.

I was using a MSI Pro 690 wifi prior to this board. Got this one for 250 bucks which was a steal considering its improvements over the MSI board which was the same price. BIOS is much more robust and easier to navigate. IO is good. Performance with a 12900k is as expected. I am also using XMP2 profile on corsair dominator pro ram 6600mhz. Works with zero hiccups, I waited some 100 hours of actual gaming to report the stability of ram at 6600 but it handles it no issue at all even with a 12th gen processor.

I really like the look and design of this Board plus it’s value
Jallrex88 –

Tyler –
Overall great quality motherboard, quick and smooth too
NateB –
Good mobo. A bit pricey but good for high end newer Intel based cpus.
Krissy –
I upgraded my old ASUS ROG Strix build Z470-E to Z690-E and once again ASUS provides a great computer experience on this board from start to finish. So many headers and WiFi works great. And the aesthetics of this board are pretty. I use the RGB as a nightlight when the computer is off.
Cherry –
Huge upgrade i love it! Comes with wifi adapter and lights up really nice
Kool824 –
Beautiful motherboard with clear indicators for issues. Armory crate is trash so I just need to find another software for aura sync and minor management. Msiafterburner might be the choice I believe

I am happy I bought this board at a good price. I read that Intel is coming out with 14 generation CPU, and the Z690 will support it.
MarvinS –
It is super good I was very satisfied by it when it arrived
MummRa –
Monster board, does everything you want it to do, Asus needs to improve their software. Too much bloatware, however their updater tools have improved.
MaqsoodK –
Very good and nice rgb. Comes with a very good manual with stickers extra m.2 slots and a graphics card holder.
CoolantProtogen –
I payed 250 and am begound thrilled with this board, at its sale price its a insane value that revivals 300-400 boards, while having rxcellent quality, easy bios, very very easy bios flash back, and soooo many headers! Never had a motherbaord with this much io! and the add in m.2 card is a really nice bonus, as well as pcie 5 and m.2 5th gen compatiability
James –
Great motherboard with high performance and lots of built in features
Switch –
This mother board is awesome. So many options and upgrades you can do.
Leonardo –
has a cmos reset! would recomend it if u flash bios.
DeannaF –
The preformace is exactly what I thought it would be.
Ettimew –
Pretty board, huge amount of IO and m.2 slots for days, the included expansion card was a sweet surprise as well! Love the board!
Adam –
Worked great for 4 months and then all of the sudden my x16 slot is dead. I can only use my GPU on the x8, which is half the bandwidth. To replace it, ASUS wants to charge a $500 hold for a used or refurbished motherboard. I won’t be buying another ASUS product again.
nattyfree –
Colorful goodness that you can really see. Also its a good morherboard 😉
Popz915 –
Very fast motherboad. It has exactly what I need, I cluding the GEN 5 SSD slot that can go beyond gen 4! Very fast and snappy when paired with intel i9-14900K! Got everything i needed frlm BEST BUY!
Epic –
Runing it with a 14900k did the buos flashback before installing anything just pluged 24 pin power to the board n hit the flashback button n flawless results
DirtyArty –
When it’s comes to gaming ASUS doesn’t best! What an amazing MB for the price, supports Gen 12, 13 and 14 Intel processors.
I paired it with an Intel 12700k to play MW 2 and MW 3. Down the line of I ever need more cores, I can always update the CPU to a 14th Gen Intel i7 or an i9 processors.
ChristopherM –
Very nice motherboard! Used in my new pc build, has tons of features. Paired with a 12900k and a msi suprim x 3090ti gpu and don plat DDR5 ram. Works excellent!
Assist –
Im new to computers, but this motherboard has done me extremely well, like genuinely i have had zero problems with it. Although, i just wish sometimes you can turn off the RGB lights on the board but im sure im missing a setting in the BIOS. All in all a decent board

Don’t do it. Save your cash and keep using your current potato. Unless you upgrade to Z790, DO NOT UPGRADE TO Z690. Too many issues! First, DUAL CHANNEL RAM NOT WORKING, it is hit and miss with any DDR ram sticks that come two to a set. If that matters to you, don’t buy this. Secondly, update the bios to fix one issue, only to have other issues, like usb ports randomly disconnecting mouse and keyboard. Try another port, sure, tomorrow you’ll need to try another etc, etc. Want to use SSD’s and M.2 drives together, don’t even think of it, no matter which bios you have, 2803, the latest or less, HA! Windows will only see some drives connected, not every drive. No bios fix for that. Try booting to the M.2 drive that Windows does see and you’ll blue screen loop and be forced to remove it or disable it in the bios. Also, the CPU, bought a 12th gen to go with this mess? Better purchase a third party cpu bracket, cause else your CPU will catch fire and burn your PC to the ground, seriously, better look that one up, I’m dead f***ing serious! There were other issues but I digress. Feel free to look them up and stay far away. I’m going to be honest, I didn’t want 13th gen just because of the number 13, but now I wish I had. I may just be re-installing my ASUS HERO VI, i7 4770k, and G.Skill sniper ram(dual channel mind you, gen 3) just to get away from these issues. These parts are not going on ebay, straight to the city dump!|
First pic is ASUS HEREO.
Second is the Z690 ROG STRIX.

Not going to find a more affordable Z790 motherboard that performs and looks this good around the same price point!
LGoled –
I really liked the brand, lots of ports at the back, connect up to 5 m.2 ssds. Really cool features.

Great motherboard! Looks amazing in a pc as well! Super happy with purchase
Elle –
Although I’ve read a few glaring reviews about this product mine arrived in a perfect condition. The installation was very easy and the software even easier! The bios was user friendly and overall easy to navigate. Best of all, I got this product at a discount so it was well worth the purchase. I would suggest, however, to take pictures/videos when you unbox your item for RMA purposes if your Best Buy past due.
PhilD –
Great motherboard the manual was very easy to read instalation went very smoothly!

I like it. More than enough drive connections and USB ports for everything. No issues with my I7-13700k processor after updating the bios firmware from a prepared USB drive, which I created on my old setup before disassembling my rig for the new components. DDR5-6400 works on XMP profile with no problems.
