Great monitor but the stand proved to be the reason I returned it. Could never get it to stand up and stay there. Fell too many times while using. Again the monitor is great just the stand needs work.

It probably works fine if you have a Windows machine. The built-in DisplayLink module should allow it to fully work with just a USB 3 port, no HDMI or USB-C required. However, in my experience with DisplayLink, it’s incredibly buggy on Windows so your mileage may vary. In many cases, it seems to cause issues with any other non-DisplayLink secondary displays. So if you have an older Windows machine without USB-C, this may be your only modern choice.
It won’t work with Apple Silicon machines. It is not recognized by the OS. You get power and then just standby. It didn’t specifically say that it would, but it also didn’t say that it wouldn’t. Then I found myself going down a driver rabbit hole and got flashbacks of my last ASUS machine which had horrible support (requiring warranty service where they sent back someone else’s AC cord to a completely different machine that didn’t fit and then promised repeatedly to send a proper one but never did).
I bought a Mac because I got SO sick and tired of dealing with constant Microsoft Windows glitches and wasting hours upon hours getting things to work properly only to stop working whenever MS decided to update it. This was a Windows-like experience on a Mac. So after about an hour, it was on its way back to BBY.
