    Got my wife a Mac Mini M2 to replace her old and failing 27″ iMac and needed to have this for playing DVDs and burning photos and data to CD/DVD. One issue we have is that it has to be directly connected to the Mac Mini. Even with a powered hub we were told it needed power. An expansion dock is probably in our future to add more connectivity and storage options.

    I bought this because physical media seems to be going away and it does exactly what i need it to. I have a M1 mini and a M2 macbook air and both hooked up to it seamlessly and I had burnt dvds in no time. No issues.

    I bought this to see medical images on CDs from my Doctor. Unfortunately, the images are only compatible with windows. I kept it since it may come in handy for other purposes.

    Wanted a quality drive for my MAC so I ordered this. First drive I got I had to use a screw drive to push the disc to stay in the drive. Ordered a second and it works fine. First one was either defective or got to knocked around when shipped in the envelop B.B. sent it in. I would not be reluctant to order this again.

    Does what it should but did not work until I purchased the actual Apple branded USB to USB-C adapter to connect to my MacBook. Other branded adapter would not allow the MacBook to recognize the drive.

    For it being a older device that may not even be in production anymore, it works amazing! I was able to burn all my cds directly into my Apple Music except for one that is more of a mixture of multiple albums, and it will still play the CD fine without burning it to your music. Really recommend this product for mac Devices.

    Too Expensive for what it is, but its apple so what do you expect. Works just like a $20 external CD rom but apple branded. Slot loaders also give me anxiety. Will I ever see my cd rom again?? who knows!

    I had a great experience with the cashier. He helped me with ordering the Apple dvd burner which I could have ordered online. However, I wanted to pay with a gift card. He took me all the way from start to finish and to check my email for tracking my delivery. And most importantly, he said if any problems arise come see him. Can’t ask for anything better than that. Also, the Apple burner was better than expected. it worked with my Mac mini m1 with no problems
