I loved my old cover with my last iPad with a personalized picture on it, but I must admit that this one, which is specifically designed for the iPad is pretty nifty. Easy to attach, easy to remove, and turns itself off automatically. I wish it had more choices in the viewing angle, but for the simple design, that probably is too much to ask.

I got it as an open box item. Works flawlessly. It is the only apple product that I own, I have an Android phone and a PC. But as you designer that likes to draw on a tablet, nothing else comes even remotely close.

Your basic folio iPad case; no protection for the sides, but has protection for the screen and back of the iPad, and has multiple viewing angles (2). But one of my favorite features of this case is that the magnets are strong enough to allow you to attach it to a magnetic surface, including a fridge, which is great for following recipes or watching content while cooking! If you’re looking for a basic, but still verstile case, this is a solid choice. Try looking for an open-box option if possible!

I looked at many cases for the iPad Pro. I actually bought a different case on Amazon that held the pencil as well, but after using it for a few months, I didn’t like it for 2 reasons: it made my iPad Pro heavier and larger and since there was a raised lip around the edge, I couldn’t clean the dust off the screen well. This OEM Apppe case is great in both those regards, as light of a case one can buy. Only issue is the pencil isn’t secured well.

The folio itself is very nice, but I ended up returning it due to the cost. It offered minimal protection and didn’t offer any extra security for the Apple Pencil which is what I was looking for. Similar folio cases with nearly identical build quality can be found for 1/4 of the cost.

Magnets are very strong, works great with the iPad. It’s just not super useful – it’s a light cover for the screen, it will help prevent scratches when setting it on a table or something, but doesn’t provide much protection. Microfiber inside is meant to clean the screen but I find myself needing to clean the screen separately. Good if you’re just using it at home, but for $100 I just expected a little more.

I’ve already dropped my iPad twice but thanks to this case there isn’t a scratch on it. I was reluctant to get a case at first because I love the look of the iPad but this case is sleek and simple enough that it still looks great. It offers all the protection without all of the Bulkiness of other cases. The iPad popped right in but has yet to come out after being dropped. One of the reasons I chose this case was because it was much cheaper than the others I saw and I’m glad I did because it protects just as well.

Most of the non-keyboard iPad covers available from aftermarket brands are inexpensive but poorly made with thin, loose vinyl over cardboard. The Apple cover is a lot more money but well made with a quality look and feel. Well worth the price.
