    Cord works great. This purchase was made to replace the original one. It is not as durable as you would think. Recommend not wrapping I’ve cord tight when it is being stored

    This came with an adapter that I didn’t need. I told the folks at best buy I didn’t need it. They said It was only sold with the adapter. I ended up having to pay $80 for the charger I needed plus this huge adapter I have no use for. Ridiculous.

    Look when it comes to tech we learn as we go. After going to Apple and to several authorized Apple repair shops, and being turned away by all due to cost, I decided to install new laptop batteries in my MacBook Pro myself. After purchasing and installing the batteries I discovered my old cord was not going to work with the new batteries. I’m not an electrician so I dont know. All I know is this used cord looks brand new and works great. Kudos to 1 store employee went out of his way to help me test the cord with my laptop. There were one too many who were unsure if they should help a customer or continue to talk to each other.

    When the magnetic DC connector became frayed and wouldn’t bring power to my laptop, I chose Best Buy on Sunrise rather than drive to the Galleria in Roseville. I was pleasantly surprised that BB had one in stock. I was back home and in business in less than an hour.

    These charging cords do not have a log lifespan if you move around alot but they are reliable at least for a year or two. I use it for my MacBook Pro which I take to and from work and elsewhere. So the plug is constantly wound up and tucked in my computer bag. Glad this has lasted a couple of years.

    This is a perfectly solid replacement for what feels like a product with planned obsolescence. The cable design itself may feel like a disappointment, but it’s nice to be able to still pick up a new charger for what is quickly becoming an old device. No issues!

    Functioned well. However, although on line this power adapter was stated to be compatible (with the 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15 in model), I started having battery issues after using it for three days. I stopped using it and found the original one (which I thought was gone) and now no battery issues. So, while a good product, I would recommend checking additional sources when supporting your MacBook.
