    I remember the originals on the gameboy advanced. They were good games then and now have new life and the opportunity to scratch that itch for old school turn based strategy. These are the types of games that most benefit from a remake. Well done!

    I’ve been able to complete both campaigns now so I feel that I can offer an honest review. Advanced Wars Reboot Camp 1+2 does a great job reviving a well needed addition to the Advance Wars series . For the most part , I love the cartoon character designs and the partially voice acted dialog adds so much, and makes playing a game over played a thousand times fun . Yeah I wish a voice or two sounded different and a character or two looked a little better, but i can honestly say I’m well pleased. I also enjoy the added cut scenes as well! I like how they stayed true to both 1 and 2 by keeping the CO’s balanced the same and being able to switch between 1 and 2 in VS mode and warroom. Honestly the only thing I think they did poorly in this game is the 3D models of the map and units. In the original game the art style was edgy and cool but now I feel lile a toddler playing with Playmobil toys.

    When I was a kid I used to play the original with my friends at school. This remake is totally faithful to the original games. I noticed some performance issues but overall it’s a great game and well worth the money especially if you played the originals.

    i think that if you’ve been pining for Advance Wars for the past ~20 years, like i have, you’re going to enjoy the Switch remake. you know what to expect. it adds some online UGC, which is really cool, and the animations and overall visuals are updated, of course. is it perfect? no. the battle animation cutscene things are stuttery. the Switch’s low-resolution screen and lack of modern conveniences like antialiasing make it look sorta clunky compared to what current-generation consoles (even phones) are capable of. but you ought to be able to look past those minor disappointments and enjoy the game for what it is.

    Man this game brought back memories from the Game Boy Advanced era. Never got a chance to beat the games then but I’m glad they did a solid remake of this game with online/local multiplayer.

    Remember Advance Wars? Me too, and this is a great remaster of those fantastic first two games. I’d recommend it to someone who’s played the games prior, but I’d be a little hesitant to recommend it to new Switch owners, as it’s a turn-based strategy game.

    Great job re-mastering and revamping Advance Wars and Advance wars 2. Overall gameplay experience is I think improved over the orignals with being able to zoom out of the map for better field vision.

    This game is definitely one of my favorite games on the switch right now. The gameplay is very addicting, and turn based games have always been some of my favorite types of games. Sadly this games release date kept getting pushed back, but the wait was definitely worth it. If you enjoy turn based strategy games, I highly recommend this game!

    Very enjoyable turn-based battle game. The animations are high quality, the storyline is fun to play through, the multiplayer options add continued playability and variety, and the combination of 1 and 2 into a single game is great. The only annoyance is not being able to skip theough dialogue if replaying a mission and instead having to continually click through to proceed to the action.

    Man, my favorite game boyd advance ever, I was 16 when I use to play this game, now at 35 I’m playing for hours again. I beat the campaign already but I play multiplayer or versus most of the time

    This game has a ton of replay value. If you like to test your skills and perfect the levels you’ll be playing for easily three digits hours. Advance Wars and its sequel never feels like it’s going on for too long, the gameplay is that engaging.
