Horrible to say the least. Put it in PS5 and it did not recognize the storage. Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 different times and PS5 still did recognize storage. Basically dead junk. Took back the next day. Don’t buy if using for PS5.

I bought it on sale for my PS5 and it has a read sued off 6166. Even though there were no instructions on where to put the heat spreader it was easy to figure out. Definitely for the price I would buy it again.

It is able to hold all of my PS5 games, seems to make the console run a bit warmer though (I do have the heat sink on as well), but it gets the job done and stores all of my games with fast transfer speeds also, so I think it is a good device.

This ADATA SSD has been working very well, without a hitch since I’ve installed it. I think the price and performance was spot on, and it’s been very reliable in it’s first year of use. I haven’t speed tested it, because that’s not been an issue.

I’ve had the SSD installed for a year and after a few months I noticed that my PS5’s plastic was making a popping noise. It turns out that even with the thin layer of metal used for the heat sink, the SSD heated up too much and caused the plastic to make a ton of noise in the middle of a game. It got especially worse while playing PS5 games. You can learn to live with it a random popping noise every 5-10 minutes, but I’m much happier to have taken this out.
