  1. real

Comfortable, plug ‘n’ play. Buttons feel great! 10

  2. GregoryM

Feels Great. Built well. I use it on a windows based system, and I have no issues. Plug and play

  3. Vert09

I love the controller but its not entirely comfortable but it works well. I would probably shell out the extra 10 or 20$ for the bigger wireless one. I only play a few game that work well with this controller so that why I got the cheaper version.

  4. LyleS

It’s a fantastic little controller, grate for 2d platformers!

  5. Abby

ABXY buttons are reversed in this wired controller and it is not possible to fix it in game, it is not possible to fix it in Control Panel, it is not possible to fix it in any kind of Setting nor even with the manufacturer software. It is very important for customers to be aware of the very short return window Best Buy provide to their clients.

  6. FedericoA

Not compatible with the games i played on pc and getting tech support is awful there website is terrible, if geek squad can’t make it work , its not good

  7. Chigaligafiga

Left jouatick keeps dropping input making it nearly impossible to use

  8. BustaNutt

I’m very picky on my controllers typically and this one fits just right for me. Responsive quality buttons and compact design really make me feel like I’m using a controller that costs much more. IGN 10/10

  9. gabesorag

A fantastic controller for a cheap price. Yes, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that 8bitdo offers from their more premium controllers, but the controller works in a pinch and definitely delivers.

  10. ZacharyS

works very well for older SNES games as well as other Dpad focused games on PC.

  11. AmandaB

Works great with games, buttons respond well and has a perfect nostalgia hit.

  12. WesleyL

Great feel and look. Gives me nostalgia from the SNES and is very much worth every penny. Some minor complaints with the design (just colors of buttons, etc.), and small issues with stick drift, but let’s be honest, the JoyCons for the Nintendo Switch are far worse.
I use this on my PC and Switch extensively to great effect. Would absolutely recommend!

  13. Justin

I bought this controller impulsively and I gotta say, it’s one impulsive purchase I don’t regret. It feels so nice in the hands. I’ve tested it on PC and Nintendo Switch using classic games, and it is like bread and butter. It is essentially an SNES controller with 2 joysticks, a home button, a capture button, and two sets of triggers (R2 and L2). If you are into retro gaming, I strongly recommend this controller.

  14. Mike

Not a bad controller for the laptop, pretty responsive, I’m a fan. I have so far utilized it with a couple games and I like. My only adv warning is that you have to mentally note your remapping in accordance with a XBOX controller but the physical mapping is that of a switch so it can be confusing. But as a product it’s pretty solid piece of equipment.

  15. wildsoldier

This is a great gamepad it feels like the old super nintendo gamepad. It works great for retro games. It works on Batocera, RetroArch, and other emulators on PC with no problems. The game pad have a “Turbo” button below the d-pad that can not be mapped and another small button below the B button that can be mapped for “hot-key”. The turbo button works pretty good in games like for example snes Final Fight. If the “Y” button is selected to work on turbo mode which is the punch button in final fight if you keep it pressed it will throw punches as fast as possible while the Y button is pressed. If the Y button is not in turbo, for every punch you want to throw you have to press the button. I dont see any negatives in this pad. The only thing I wished was that best buy carries the same version of this pad but wireless at the their stores that way I don’t have to order it thru the store and wait 3-5 for arrival. But this version “the wired version” is usually at stock at the local best buy.

  16. John

this item does not even work 90% of the time on my high end gaming pc. it literally is useless more often then not.

  17. Unknown

Great controller, great buttons & triggers, easy plug & play. Doesnt get better than this

  18. JaredD

I purchased the controller less than 6 months ago, and it has already failed. it seemed to be a decent controller until I rolled up the cord and it broke the wires inside the cable right at the point it enters the handset. Once I removed its cover the bends in the cable from the factory were so tight it’s a wonder, they weren’t broke when removed it from its packaging. I think its a bad design.

  19. Batch

This works perfect with our switch in docked mode. Makes me feel like a little kid again.

  20. Chillingalong

I already have the wireless version but the benifit of being wired is that no batteries to worry about. Its still feel great to use and very nice for general video game usage.

  21. StreetFighter

This has ended up becoming the controller I use the most. Works best for fighters.

  22. Erik

Great for SNES emulation at the $20 price I paid for. Buttons are a little loud but I don’t mind the clicks

  23. DrTLB

Gamepad feels comfortable in the hands and buttons, D-pad, and sticks are responsive. Great for retrogaming. It works fine when connected to a USB-C adapter (I use it with a Galaxy tablet).

  24. Slickseth

8bitdo controllers are top of the line among the third-party controller offerings. This one is great as it mimics the tried and true design of the old Super Nintendo style controllers.

  25. JustChad

Needed a controller for old scool games on Nintendo Switch and PC. I was impressed with the quality of the controller. I will definitely be buying more controllers from 8BitDo.

  26. TheOmen300

Great little controller on sale for $20. Not 100% sure about longevity but after a month of my boy and i using it and dropping it, it still as smooth as it was out of the box.

  27. Alexa

Honestly, there’s not too much to say, it’s a controller with ok ergonomics and switch/pc functionality. Just wish it worked on mac.

  28. Roach

Its so good for the proce. Im playing eldenring, tekken, and Emulators and loving this piece of hardware. I detest third-party hardware for the most part because companies will try to latch on to trusted names like Microsoft or Sony, and then sell you a controller that breaker, but this thing is decent. For the price I’m really amazed. It took about 20 minutes to get used to but now it’s like perfect. And if you have kids or you just have small hands, this is really good for that. Very satisfied.

  29. George

Perfect gamepad for retro 2d and platformers with its analog sticks and snes style layout

  30. Rafi

This may be more likable to other people, but I found the face buttons too far apart. The controller itself is very good quality for this price point.

  31. Gabcru235

Great controller for multiplatform play! Worked on everything it said it would with flying colors. Great for emulation on PC as well. Controls feel great and I don’t think it’s wearing down anytime soon.

  32. ThemanTQ

I purchased this to play games for my kids laptop. It connects right away. True plug & play. It works fine with any windows games. SNES emulator will work great with this controller

  33. Dirtybob69

Mainly use this for my Analogue Pocket. This is about as close to a Official Nintendo controller. The buttons and d-pad are awesome and don’t feel cheap. Virtually 0 lag since it’s wired.

  34. BestBuyer2020

Works flawlessly i might end up trtinf the wireless version too!

  35. PatrickG

Love this controller it is so much better then keyboarding the commands.

  36. Cassi

Love this simple game pad for some of the games in my Xbox Game Pass

  37. user648835

Seems nice enough quality, Built fairly sturdy, Unfortunately wouldn’t work for the 2 games I have that require a joystick.

  38. MatthewH

Good for gaming on the run. Very responsive. Good ergonomics.

  39. juiceman

This is an awesome controller! It plays well with my Nintendo games.

  40. BryanM

I purchased this controller to play Super Mario Wonder upon its release, and have enjoyed it ever since.

  41. EdOsoliz

This controller is great for playing retro games that only use the D-pad but the placement of the analog sticks and the lack of any grips (like on PlayStation controllers) makes them hard to use.

  42. KyDaGuy

It’s got the feel, shape, texture and smell that you’re craving, like a little cruise down memory lane

  43. bhimio

Great controller for emulation and normal video games, cant figure out how to use the star button though.

  44. Skiovoe

I love this controllers. Needed one for my Mac great.

  45. Ianshore

Awesome little controller. It makes playing old school games like Super Nintendo’s Super Mario World a breeze.

  46. JesseA

It’s awesome does everything works perfect imagine a Super Nintendo controller with L2 and r2 buttons now it is kinda small but Super Nintendo size

  47. SunnyG

It works with all my games in my Steam and Epic Games vaults.

  48. Unknown

My order arrived early. Looks and works exactly as it was described. I especially like it because of it’s smaller size. It’s perfect for playing games on my laptop.

  49. Azzzz

Solid controller. Feels good in the hands. Works for emulation. May have problems with A/B buttons but that may be do to the emulator.
Joycons feel good but unsure about any stick drift.

  50. Ethan

This is an excellent controller for side scrollers, but not so much for 3D games, although I feel that’s the point. I primarily use it for Mega Man on my switch, and on steam. Works wonderfully, even 2 years later.
