    This lens works great and produces good pictures.

    The most versatile lens. This lens looks super good at all focal lengths. At 105mm people can get fooled into thinking it’s a prime lens. It can do super wide shots and telephoto shots

    So far very impressed with this lens. Sharpness and speed seem to be very good. I’m using this on a new R5. Coming from the EF world, I did purchase the lens adapter to use my existing collection of lenses with the new camera but wanted to have the RF 24-105mm F4 as it will be on the camera most of the time.

    I’ve had the EF version of this lens for years. This new RF version is better. Excellent image quality and very sharp. It’s a Canon L series lens so it’s very well built and has weather sealing. It’s the perfect travel zoom lens as it’s smaller and weighs less than its RF 24-70 f/2.8L brother (also a phenomenal lens in its own right), and it’s only one stop slower. Also, the price is right.

    Holy wow!!!!! I was skeptical at first, as I’ve never been a fan of 24-105 f4 zooms, but this lens has blown my mind. It is so much better than the older EF versions, and leaps and bounds better than the Sony IMO. Autofocus is blazingly fast, eye AF is spot on, and image quality is so so good. I can’t believe the pictures I’m getting from this f4 zoom lens. Pair the IS with the r5 or r6’s IBIS and you can hand hold photos for up to one second exposure!!! Canon has done an amazing job with this lens, can’t wait to see what else they put out for the RF mount

    An upgrade over the older 24-105mm lens. The range I feel is perfect for so many conditions, especially travelling. It hit’s all the right spots. While it may not be as good as it’s prime counterparts, only needing one lens instead of 3 definitely helps with space and weight. Many newcomers might be intimidated by the price. You might not notice the difference in quality when looking at small jpeg images on facebook with your phone, but when you start getting to 8x10s are larger, the L lenses are definitely a leap above the lower models. If you’re worried about the high price tag, it’s worth it in the long run if you are serious about photography. Don’t buy cheap lenses with the plan to upgrade, just save up for the good ones from the get go.

    This is a good all around lens for any number of applications. With the image stabilization, the max F4 aperture is not a serious issue. This compact, relatively lightweight lens is finding it’s way more frequently as my walk around go to.

    Got this for my R6MKII. It is a nice lens for the price, but one big thing to take into consideration is the vignetting and distortion this lens produces. The JPGs that are processed from this camera correct them alright, but an Adobe Lens profile in something like lightroom is the best way to correct for these errors. Its a great lens and sharp too! But just keep in mind the vignetting and distortion.

    I recently bough the Canon RF 24-105 f/4 lens as a replacement for my EF version that I previously used on my 5D. My EF version was about 15 years old and needed to be serviced. While I initially expected it to be about the same, the new RF version seems lighter and faster.

    Versatility
    This lens covers a wide focal length range, from 24mm to 105mm, offering flexibility in capturing a variety of subjects. 24mm gets you to that additional field of view that comes in handy for family photos and small spaces and 105mm give you that additional reach for when you want to frame a subject a little tighter. My previous EF model was always on my camera and this one will be too and it can minimize the times you need to switch lenses. I also have a 35mm prime 1.8 for low light situations and a 70-200 for youth sports.

    Constant f/4 Aperture:
    I like the constant f/4 aperture since it ensures consistent exposure across the entire zoom range, providing excellent control over the depth of field. While I would have loved an f/2.8 lens, I would have been looking at 2.5x the price for the 28-70 and probably 2x the weight. Again, for family photos and landscapes I would probably use higher f numbers anyway for the depth of field.

    This lens offers excellent value for money. If you have the budget for only one lens or simply don’t want to carry around a bunch of lenses, then this will give you the most flexibility.

    The 24-105 is very sharp, even at f/4.0. Lens tests reveal that the sharpest aperture, the sweet spot for the Canon 24-105 is f/8, although it’s only marginally sharper because it’s already sharp at f/4.0. Like most lenses, sharpness is usually the best about 2 f/stops closed from wide open.

    Great RF lens. When upgrading from a 24-105 kit lens I was debating between the 24-70 and this one. I chose this for the extra 35mm of reach and the smaller build of the lens. Perfect for traveling. I have taken this many hot and cold places and it holds up.

    Don’t let the F4 turn you away; this is a GREAT lens. Reasonably priced for the L series with such a versatile range at 24mm-105mm. I’ve used this lens for both photo and video and have been very happy with the results. Tack sharp at every focal length. Excellent lens that I leave on all the time unless I’m looking to do something very specific, otherwise it stays on all the time.
