    Pore water flow after only one month, could be due to well water.

    The main thing is that it was less expensive than OEM filter. But the downside was that it took a while for some kind of chemical to wash out and finally provide non-milky water. It wasn’t like opaque milky water, but there was definitely some kind of chemical – maybe to sanitize the water line. And if that’s the case, I wish it had been stated: User – it will take a gallon of water flow for the water to run clear. After that was done, it does provide fresh clear and clean tasing water. This thing has to last only a little while, until the new fridge gets installed. After that it wont have water connected so it won’t matter. Also, it is an exact fit for the OEM.

    Water tastes great. It’s important to run the filter as the instructions indicate prior to enjoying the water. The instructions clearly indicate you will get micro contaminants if you don’t purge the recommended amount of water. I would buy this filter again from Best Buy. The price is competitive as well.

    This is supposed to be a replacement for the name brand. I had the salesman help to be sure we bought the one for our model and we just got it in the mail 3 days ago and it doesn’t fit.

    This is not the proper replacement for the OEM filter, I only purchased this because you didn’t have the original….not only did it not work, but it damaged the housing so the original would no longer work. It fits nicely into the housing, but the holes are just enough different to ruin the housing. Very expensive to fix.
    Do not buy this, get the OEM.
