This is not my first air fryer and I have grown to love the convenience and ease of creating tasty and healthy meals. The Cosori stands above the other air fryers as it is a smart appliance. It is wifi enabled, can interact with Google Home and Alexa and uses the VeSync app to enable you to control your air fryer from your phone,
The Cosori functions very well as an air fryer. Its 1700 watts of power ensures that it heats up quickly and can cook your meal quickly. The inner/outer basket design makes clean up very easy and the baskets are dishwasher safe. The 11 presets can make cooking as easy as the push of a button. My first trial with the air cooker was to cook a ribeye steak. The steak came out perfectly cooked and moist. I later tried reheating the leftover steak and the results were equally as good. Everything that I have tried in the air cooker has been done perfectly and quickly.
As well as the Cosori functions as an air fryer, it is the smart features that set it apart. Using your home wifi, your air fryer can interface with your android or iPhone using the VeSync App. This will enable you to preprogram the air fryer remotely and to send the settings from an online recipe to the air fryer. You do have to use the start button on the air fryer to actually start the cooking process. As your meal cooks, reminders will be sent to your phone, including reminders to shake the basket when needed and noifications when your meal is done.
When I first heard about air fryers, I regarded them as gimmicks to reheat frozen snacks. As I have used them, my opinions have changed. An air fryer can be a lifestyle change, enabling you to turn out tasty and well cooked meals in a limited time.

I’ve owned 3 air fryers so far with various functions and designs. The Cosori Pro Gen 2 Smart Air Fryer sets itself apart by offering a smart function which is why I wanted one so badly.
The fryer comes packaged in a nice box. It comes with a couple of accessories, a VERY nice cookbook and the usual documents (quick start guide, warranty card, aso). You can download the app by scanning a QR code which allows you to set the WIFI up for the fryer and will let you remotely control the device (not every function, but the most essential ones).
Now, I’m usually rather lenient when it comes to build, design and material quality. But in this specific case, I have a couple of things to say. The entire unit is made of plastic which tries to look like a brushed black metal. Needless to say that it’s a fingerprint magnet. The sliding piece of transparent plastic which is meant to remove the cooking basket feels wobbly and does look like it could break at any time. The heat dissipation is located in the back and blows the hot air out, which means it can’t be put against a wall or under cabinet space. Last but not least, re-inserting the basket takes a bit of strength until it snaps back in.
On the brighter side, this air fryer is surprisingly nice to cook with. I have tried several simple things such as a mini pizza, fries, chicken strips and more, and the results were great. I believe the even heat distribution is excellent. The smart features are amazing time savers, you can check the remaining time and the temps as well as other options. I can’t even begin to tell how convenient it is. Another very positive point is the size of the cooking basket which allows to cook more in one batch.
All in all, I would recommend this air fryer, but you should really keep in mind that it comes with downsides. But if you want a nice sized air fryer which you can control without having to quit what you are doing, this will work just fine.

This is a good air fryer that gets the job done quickly but has a few areas that could be improved to keep it from being great.
The air fryer does make good food and makes it quickly but does need more time than recipes that are described on the internet. Fried chicken on the internet says 12 minutes but this air fryer required 15 minutes to cook to perfection. Same thing with a cauliflower dish that took longer than the recipe said. This is not a problem with it but something to keep in mind when cooking with it.
There is an app that goes with it, but it doesn’t do much. You can set the time and temperature but can’t start the food or even preheat. Rather than going through pages in the app to get to where you need, it is just easier to use the buttons on the front of the unit. The app will notify you when the cooking is done, but there is a beep that is loud enough to hear in the next room, or you can just set a timer in the room you are in. It seems this is trying to be smart since everything else is but there is no need for it.
The buttons on the front are not very good. If you press too lightly, they don’t respond. If you press too hard, it jumps and skips the temperature and time you want. It is difficult to press it just right. In addition, when the cooking is done and you want to start the same thing again, it forgets the last temperature and time and sets it to the default. It would be nice if it would just remember the last settings used.
For some reason, you can’t turn the unit off when the basket is removed. This means that if the basket is dirty and, in the sink, the unit will remain on. Just something to keep in mind.
Things are not all bad though. The basket is incredibly easy to clean and just requires very light wiping with soap. Nothing sticks to it. Or you can opt to wish it in the dishwasher but is not necessary. Also, the basket that holds the food is very large and holds more than you would think just by looking at it.
Overall, it is a good air fryer that gets the job done and the result is great, but you must get past a few annoyances when using it to appreciate it.

This is the first air fryer that I’ve ever had the opportunity to use. I’ve always wanted to try one for cooking, as it looked so convenient to cook things like fries, frozen vegetables, and other foods in a way that was healthier than frying and tastier than just baking it in the oven.
The Cosori – Pro Gen 2 is a great unit that cooks food well and delivers great results. I used it to heat up fries and chicken strips and they turned out great. Fries were crispy and just right. The Chicken tenders were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and my kids loved them.
The unit came with a great recipe book that I’d like to try when I have more time. It was easy to setup the unit… basically unpack it, clean the wipe out and clean the basket and go. The unit has presets that you can use to cook fries, chicken, steak, etc. You can also connect the air fryer with the companion app and set it up to work with Alex or Google Assistant. From there you can use voice commands to set temperatures, check how much time remains, among other things.
The unit itself is nothing special to look at. It’s all black, and my kitchen appliances are stainless steel. It’s not something that I intend to leave out on the counter when not in use, but it doesn’t look bad when it is out. The basket cleans easy, and you can put it in the dishwasher. I found it a little awkward to fit in the dishwasher. I’ll probably hand wash it most of the time, as it was easy enough to clean by hand.
The air fryer vents out the back and Cosori recommends keeping it at least 5 in away from the wall for proper ventilation. It gets hot at the exhaust, so you don’t want that steam venting on your walls.
Overall, I think this unit is great. It has a lot of great features, and I’m excited to use it more and more and to try some new recipes with the family.

The explosion of “smart” gadgets which have wifi and voice controls has led to a lot of gimmicky IoT devices in my home over the last few years. When given the opportunity to use the Cosori Pro Gen 2 Smart Air Fryer, I assumed it would be more of the same. I’m pleasantly surprised that the wifi features of this air fryer are actually… useful! On top of the Cosori being an exceptionally good air fryer, the voice controls make for a really nice upgrade from the standard digital air fryer I’ve been using for a few years. The controls via Alexa are a little better than the ones for Google Assistant, but either work well for doing what I usually want to do by voice. Getting dinner ready for the kids? While I’m reaching into the freezer for some nuggets, I can tell the air fryer to start preheating. I can also ask how much time is left on the timer. Very cool and a welcome upgrade.
The air fry performance of this Cosori Pro was excellent. The basket design is actually really impressive and clearly improves air flow around the food in the basket. Everything I’ve tried so far has been evenly cooked without burned hot spots. I’ve found that it’s also absolutely perfect for toasting bagels (you can do 4 halves perfectly in the basket – 350 degrees for 3 minutes leads to a perfect level of toast).
Probably the most important feature for me is the ease of cleaning and here again the Cosori was really easy to clean. I use Dawn Powerwash spray to clean it. All surfaces inside the basket are non-stick and so far have done a REALLY good job at keeping things un-stuck. Things that typically take a lot of elbow grease to clean like fish sticks (an air fry staple) and toasted sandwiches with cheese haven’t been difficult at all.
The Cosori isn’t perfect, however. The touch buttons are a little frustrating to use, but I’ve already gotten used to using the voice controls for starting it so it hasn’t been a big deal. And the beeps are a bit too loud. Aside from those limitations, I love this appliance and am happy to replace my older device with the Cosori Pro.

The Cosori Pro Gen 2 is trustworthy kitchen companion. It contains an ample cooking basket size and gives pretty decent meal results. I usually bake salmon and fry chicken so I though this product would be the perfect candidate for it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the food tasted even though I didn’t cook it in a traditional manner. One of the most valuable features is that it has 11 presets. These presets help cover a range of food types and allow me to use the most appropriate settings for the food that I’m cooking. Kitchen appliances can be intimidating for novice chefs, but the included cookbook is enough to instill confidence to prepare any meal. Another good features is the included app. Sometimes I don’t feel getting off the couch to just press a few buttons so the VeSync app allows me to save some time and effort. It is a bit limited in functionality such as start and stop, but I still find it handy. When all the cooking done, it helps to have a something easy to clean and the Cosori pro offers just that. The basket and parts are easy to clean and wipe so it makes for an easy task to complete. In all, the Cosori is a serviceable air fryer.

As long as they come to temperature and blow hot air, it’s hard to mess up an Air Fryer, but Cosori has managed to do just that with results that are often mediocre to the point we’ve pretty much stopped using it. Additionally, their customer service is pretty poor, to the point that I had occaision to wonder if I had suddenly starting speaking a foreign language or something. Buy at your own risk.

Verdict: a good air fryer that includes some convenient technology. It air fries well, it is WiFi capable, and it has an aap.
Initial impressions. The unit is not as heavy as I expected. It looks good overall, with a convenient and easy to use front panel. It comes with a recipe book, manual, and shortcut pamphlet. The bottom tray can separate into two to ease cleaning. The cooking tray is quite big, and definitely bigger than our current air fryer. The tray design is great for counter storage, as opposed to a clamshell design.
Setup. In terms of the analog air fryer functions, setup is minimal… Turn it on, wait a few minutes for preheat, load, and start. The most interesting feature of this air fryer, the WiFi capability, does require some setup. First download the VeSyn app, then pair your phone to the machine. You’ll have to create an account during the app setup.
App. The app sounds like a fantastic capability, but I was a little disappointed. I expect more functionality, especially the ability to turn the machine on remotely. Nevertheless, the app provides access to a digital cook book, you can set temperatures, set and check timers, and get notifications. This really helps for meal prep so you can orchestrate other dishes or start making a fresh salad when you are 10 minutes away from finishing with the air fryer.
Performance. This machine air fries pretty good! We made yuca on one day, and we air fried chicken drumsticks on a different day. Both came out great, and healthier that the normal frying for the yuca, and more delicious than baked drumsticks. While the frying tray is big, you don’t as much flat surface area as a different design fryer.
Things I love:
– Wifi capable and connects to an app!
– Convenient button panel
– Great size for a kitchen counter
– The frying tray is quite large and non-stick
– The frying tray also separates into two parts for easy cleaning
– Reasonably fast start-up
Things I don’t love:
– The buttons are hard to press… That’s something that is pretty important to get right
– It’s not loud… but it’s not super quiet either. Probably on par with other air fyers.
Overall, this is good air fryer. It certainly performs its core purpose (air frying) well. The technology additions are welcome, and I sure could be remedied through remote updates. While there is room to improve, this machine provides new technology features that improve convenience. At this price range, this machine offers good overall value. I recommend it.

This air fryer is a healthier way to cook food, especially traditionally cooked with a lot of oil. With it, cooking requires very little to almost no cooking oil, and you can even make it better by using healthier oils, like olive or avocado. The Cosori has many functions on the front panel, making cooking more effortless. For the presets button, turn on the unit, select the preset needed, adjust temperature and time, and press start. Also, if you are using the app (smart Wi-Fi) following the recipe (with video clips of each step), you can choose via smartphone when to start and end; you get a notification of the cooking process. My favorite preset/option is to make bacon because it gets cooked evenly without being burnt, and you don’t have to worry about oil splashing everywhere. Any oil in the air fryer keeps contained, so there is no more messy stove top. The external dimension, 10.75-inch wide x 12-inch height x 12-inch depth, does make this product convenient to store and use over any countertop. The measurement of the inner basket is 9 in x 9 in x 3.5in. The power cord is long enough, 3 feet long, to reach most kitchen plugs. Cleaning the outer and inner baskets is easy with regular dish soap and water. To make it easier for the cleaning process, I reheat the dirty empty baskets for a couple of minutes, and all the burnt food items/greasy come out very quickly with paper towels. And then I wash it with soap and water.
I also tried making “fried” sweet plantains – a favorite in my home – and it turned out so good!! I cut the plantains into slices, put them in the air fryer, and added just a bit of oil. I shook it once to let them thoroughly cook, and they were ready within minutes! I loved it because it saved me time and oil. Overall, this is a good air fryer with a feature that works with a smartphone to help you cook healthier food with easy-to-follow recipes. In the long run, you will be healthier and save money from eating out and using less oil for cooking meals.

You have two choices for how you use the device. If you wish you can connect it via the Vsync App (which is not required). Setup for the app is extremely easy as you can scan a QR code on the top of the device which takes you directly to the app, sign up for it, then it walks you through the rest of the process. The app is limited in how much you can control the unit itself but is helpful when looking up additional recipes or tracking cooking time (which sends you alerts on progress and flipping). Or you can just skip that completely (which is what I did) and use it via the buttons on the unit itself. It has several presets which makes it easy to select what you want. Or if you want full control you can do a custom temperature and cook time. The preheat option (which at sea level) took about 2 – 3 minutes to get to about 380 – 400 degrees. Which was quick. Last, there is a keep warm option (preset is at 120 degrees).
I found that the 12 presets were a nice guideline that streamlined the process, as I often didn’t have to look at the recipe booklet for the correct temp and cook time and instead could just press a single button (after preheating) and I was good to go. I did find that depending on what I was cooking and if it was frozen or not that the amount of time it took to cook would vary quite a bit (from the preset), often being generous on the time as things cook FAST. I just made sure to check it a few times throughout the cooking process to ensure it wasn’t overcooked. I found each time I used it that the food came out with the correct consistency, flavor, moistness, and “crunch”. I especially enjoyed it for reheating certain food such as fries. Which it does quickly, and they come out often better than at a restaurant. The basket itself is large making it easy to cook plenty of food in one go.
Overall build quality is good. I think it is a very sleek looking device that fits in a modern kitchen with the sleek black brushed look. It is very conscious about the space it takes up being just slightly larger than the cooking pan itself width wise. It does get slightly warm to the touch on the sides when using. Cooling off time is average as there isn’t anything special that helps it cool down faster or notify you that it is still warm (except for you feeling the heat). Buttons themselves feel good and are responsive. Display is clear and easy to read. However, power button stays lit when device is off, when the pan is removed it has multiple lights that stay on, and the blinking Wi-Fi network indication can be annoying. The beeps are loud which makes it easy to hear but can also be annoying. My only real compliant is the pull to release for the basket feels cheap and isn’t as premium as I like. Especially, since the unit itself is very light so you need to hold it in place when removing. The handle has a piece of plastic on the top that is free floating for safety which also comes across cheap. But release from the top basket and the bottom basket feels great, as does reattaching it. Clean-up is simple and quick.

This is a very polished air fryer. It is ‘smart’ as it will connect to Wi-Fi and give you notifications on your phone. While that may seem like a big deal, I don’t think I have ever walked more than 10 feet from any air fryer when using it. The app does give you a pretty decent search for recipes. Some are better than others. So the smart aspect is kind of handy but not what I would call a deal breaker if it was not there.
The fryer will remind you to shake your food about half way through cooking. The shake alert can be adjusted.
There are quite a few presets that work almost perfectly for anything you are cooking. We generally are making frozen french fries or cheese sticks, so we’ll likely wear our one button.
The basket is a little difficult to get out. There is a slide on the handle to expose a button to release the basket. Make sure that you have the drawer basket combo sitting flat before pushing the button. Glad they have the button guard.
It cooks very evenly. Everything about the actual usage is pretty much perfect. I toyed with taking a star away because of how stiff it is getting the basket out. A trick for removing the basket, put one hand on top of the fryer and use your thumb to push the basked out.
The basket is plenty large enough to handle a bag of frozen french fries. It is quite spacious.
A few nice added pieces are skewers and a rack. The rack is great for air frying a hot dog and getting the grill marks. Also works for two level cooking, just don’t have the drippy food on the top level. 😀
Overall this is a really great fryer that has some bells and whistles that may not be needed, but are not bad to have. Maybe the best thing. It is not round like our old fryer. Lining a round fryer with foil is a pain.

This unit has moved the air fryer forward a few steps in terms of technology. It includes a WiFi connection ability as well as connectivity with Amazon Alexa. I did connect my house WiFi following the included instructions and this device was recognized immediately and the wireless connection was successful. The normal style wireless icon now appeared solid (no blinking) to indicate the connection was completed. I also installed the VeSync app on my Android phone. This app offers some control of the air fryer using your phone to tell the fryer what to do over the WiFi connection. This was nice but not very useful. You can just enter the commands more quickly on the Cosori Air Fryer touch screen. In fact there seems to be a weak point in that you can set a temperature and time on your phone, but you still need to hit start on the air fryer or nothing happens. So it has a safety value but not worth using.
I also added this air fryer to my 5th gen Echo Dot. The connection to Alexa was very quick and easy to do using the VeSync and Alexa apps. When you tell Alexa to cook on the air fryer for say 12 minutes at 350 degrees, the fryer starts cooking without the need to touch ‘start’ at the air fryer, so that is nice.
I really loved the preset frying programs which you access by just pushing a button on the bright touch screen, these are explained in the manual very clearly.
Although it is suggested to preheat, I found that it’s simple to just add a couple extra minutes cooking time. Also the very thorough little 25 page manual will provide tips on safety and ensuring complete cooking; so I do suggest reading the manual, it is very well done. An example is you can customize the presets and a handy chart is included to facilitate any customizations you wish.
Not to be overlooked is an included and outstanding recipe book (over 100 pages). It is printed on glossy paper and is fantastic. I’ve tried several recipes and all were delicious – kudos to Cosori for providing this book.
You will find that this fryer is very sturdy and has an external shell that does ‘not’ get hot with the exception of the vent area in the back – wonderful. It is suggested to keep the unit 5 inches from a wall, but I was more comfortable with 12 inches from the wall. Also the 2-part-basket is removed by pulling on the handle, but you will find it is expedient to hold one hand on a cool part of the unit as you pull the basket out since it takes some force to remove and insert the basket. A great feature is the button on the handle which drops the inner basket away from the outer basket-shell. Be sure to do this with the inner and outer baskets on a table (not in mid-air). There is a plastic slide used to cover the button so you don’t accidently press it.
The cooking of various foods was similar to other cookers based on a half dozen items I tried. However this unit was easier to use due to the technology and easier to clean. I would highly recommend it.
FrozynHeart –
Before I used this air fryer, I just kind of figured that an air fryer was an air fryer; end of story. I was wrong – this one noticeably improves over some bargain-bin air fryers I’ve used previously.
First off, the build quality is really nice. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, and there’s a few nice-to-haves about it (such as the cover for the button to disconnect the basket from the tray to make sure you can’t do it on accident). I don’t really cook things with skewers, but the fact that Cosori included them and a tray to use them with was a nice extra. The tray and basket seem to be of pretty good quality, and were easy to clean and dry without worrying about grease being burned into them. They have a good nonstick coating.
I was somewhat wary about the smart functions. They’re actually helpful though – the VeSync app has a bunch of recipes and presets to help you cook things even if there’s no explicit directions on the package, and you can scan things to pull up their presets (if they have any – none of the foods I tried did, but maybe they’ll add them later). Setting up the smart functions was decently painless, and you can totally use it without setting that up – though, it will nag you with a blinking Wi-Fi icon. The most important part, however, was the fact that it could tell me how much time was left from my phone. This helped me be more comfortable with multitasking while cooking, rather than solely focusing on the air fryer.
As an air fryer, it does a great job. My food doesn’t end up burnt or raw. I do appreciate being able to select precise cook times and temperatures without worrying about dials and if I set them right. The presets are a great bonus too – if you cook the same thing a lot, you can just find a preset you like and hit that button to re-cook it with one button press.
I think my favorite thing about it, other than how easy it is to clean, is that it’s really quiet. My previous air fryer had a really distinct roar that made having conversations while cooking worse because we had to talk over it. This air fryer sounds more like a modern fan. It’s quiet enough that I don’t have to raise my voice to talk over it. Though, unfortunately, you can’t configure the menu sounds to be quieter – they’re very loud beeps. If that was something you could do, that would actually make this air fryer perfect for me because I often prepare food late at night and would like to not disturb anyone else.
Overall, this is a nice piece of kitchen hardware, and I’m glad I have it. The “smart” features are even useful; and while I don’t like how loud the menu is it’s honestly a nitpick. And who knows, maybe I’ll find the setting for that buried under some menus or something after an app update.

My only experience with an air fryer thus far has been the now-discontinued 2-quart compact Dash air fryer, which I loved dearly before I gave it away while moving. I had never replaced it, and having the opportunity to try out the Cosori gave me immense hope to return to my air frying days.
For starters, it can be difficult to justify this purchase if you’re particularly penny-pinching. An oven does roughly the same thing, right? Partially. The air fryer’s unique strength is that it does more or less the same thing as an oven but faster, thanks to its smaller size and improved air circulation. As a result of both, it cooks food faster and results in a crispier texture. Thus, air fryers are great for healthier alternatives to fried foods; no one would mistake an air-fried wing for a properly deep-fried one, but the former is palatable. You can absolutely make do if health trumps taste and texture in priorities for your cooking. That said, I mainly used it to make nuggets, fries, and other snacks as they turn out crispier and tastier than in the microwave without requiring me to heat up an entire oven just for a small tray of munchies…!
Bringing this back to the Cosori, the nearly 6qt capacity is a noticeable improvement over the 2qt capacity of the Dash. Not only can you make more food, but food can also be more spaced out thanks to the size and shape of the basket, meaning it is cooked faster and more evenly. Being able to toss the basket in the dishwasher is an additional bonus. The presets are nice, though I don’t tend to use them for cooking from scratch (I find that experimenting with the settings and making your own “presets” works out better), and I appreciate that it has smartphone compatibility where it can send notifications to your phone to do things like shake the basket or get your food when it’s ready. That is something the Dash didn’t have and it makes this whole unit and experience feel premium and a bit futuristic. I admit I’m a bit burnt out on how everything is turning “smart” nowadays, by which manufacturers mean they just have a shoddy phone app that has barely any purpose, but this is a case where I feel the “smart” moniker is somewhat justified. The Cosori isn’t a Star Trek replicator but having that functionality is pretty neat. Another plus is that the unit isn’t too loud. The Dash could get a bit distracting, especially with a living room adjacent to the kitchen, but the Cosori does a good job of keeping things at a reasonable volume despite cooking so dang fast. The build quality is decent although the unit is made of plastic, and I feel that this would survive a couple of years at a minimum in most kitchens.
Unfortunately, the Cosori — like most things — isn’t perfect. The plastic is a fingerprint magnet and, with me also owning a built-in black plastic microwave that also seems to attract every fingerprint ever, this annoys me more than it might other people. It is a struggle to keep the unit looking clean after several uses. The smartphone functionality is neat, but it isn’t super useful; thankfully you don’t need to use it to operate the fryer, but if there is an upcharge for the smart functionality, I do have to say that I think it really isn’t worth a ton just to be able to tell that food is finished cooking from your phone unless, say, you live with roommates or in some other living situation where you aren’t always in a living room or other common areas near the kitchen while cooking. The basket is a bit fiddly, which is a complaint I’ve had about most air fryers I’ve used; balancing keeping it securely in place while not making it a pain to take out is a tough line to walk, but it is something to note. I also did see that the instructions recommend keeping the unit at least five inches from the wall, which I had hoped would not be a requirement but unfortunately, five inches would be a bare minimum of clearance as this unit does put out a lot of heat in the back vents. In all fairness, the Dash did have this issue as well and to the Cosori’s credit, the unit itself doesn’t get nearly as dangerously hot as the Dash did.
Overall, this is not a bad little air fryer. I am quite pleased with it and have enjoyed cooking with it, and it is an upgrade in most ways to my old Dash unit. I would recommend weighing your air fryer needs before purchasing this unit, as the smart functionality is fun but may not suit your needs (or wants!) and the visual aspect of the unit may put those who prefer a cleaner look to their kitchen appliances off. You also may not need ~6qt capacity, as this would be a bit overkill for any single person or college student. I would recommend this tentatively.

The Cosori Pro Gen 2 538 Quart air fryer comes well packaged with everything you need. You even get some extra accessories other air fryers do not provide. You get the air fryer, a recipe book, a quick reference guide, some metal skewers, a metal rack and a user manual.
What I really liked:
– The metal basket separates into 2 pieces. There is a button to press when separating the basket into 2 pieces. This keeps any oil/grease separate from what you are cooking. Look at the picture of me cooking chicken shawarma. It was AMAZING BTW.
– There is a piece you need to slide forward to remove the basket from the air fryer. This is an added safety feature. It would be especially useful if children are around. It would be more difficult for them to deal with the basket.
– The basket has vents in the side that promotes good airflow.
– 5.8 quarts is a good size to accommodate most meals for 2-4 people.
– You have 10 cooking presets buttons you can use. One of these is a preheat button. It is very useful to preheat the air fryer before cooking your food. Also, there is a keep warm function.
– The buttons light blue when they are selected. I like the visual cue of what you have selected. The nonstick baskets are dishwasher safe.
– The baskets are PFOA-free and BPA-free. So it is safer for your food.
What I was not too excited about:
– You have an app “Vesync”. The set up and connection to Wi-Fi was not a problem. You can see the status of your air fryer. However you need to keep the air fryer plugged in for this to work. I usually unplug the air fryer after each use. It does have a bunch of recipes in the app that may be useful to you. So it is not really for me. This could be a bonus for you. There are some interesting recipes.
– I tried using the metal raised grill for cooking a hash brown patty. I thought this may make more airflow and make it crispier. Surprisingly, it ended up less cooked than just placing it in the basket.
I have used the Cosori air fryer for about a week now. It has functioned perfectly. The food cooking results are better than many other units I have used in the past.
Overall, I do rate the Cosori Pro Gen 2 538 quart air fryer 5 out of 5 stars. It is built well. It cooks the food well. You have an added bonus of an App if that is important to you. You also get some extra accessories which could be useful to you. MY negative comments are minor. I recommend this product.

The Corsori Pro Gen 2 5.8qt Smart Air Fryer has made air frying to me super simple. I changed how I fry meals over the past year in order to make food much more healthy. My previous air fryer was very basic and did a pretty good job. As I’ve gotten better at the using an air fryer I’ve wanted to up grade and this beautiful piece of cookware came along.
Upon opening up the well packaged Corsori air fryer I was immediately impressed. It’s well built and comes with just what you need to cook many different meals with out compromise. This includes a skewer rack with skewers, in my opinion this is above and beyond. Not to mention its a good looking fryer.
What makes this Smart air fryer one that you’ll want to get is all the well thought out settings and the ability to connect it to your smart device via the VeSync app. This app is a game changer. I enjoy being able to look up recipes via my smart and preparing them with this air fryer. I was able to monitor the progress and even know when I needed to interact with it or take it out from another room.
I’m more than impressed with the Cosori air fryer and will be using it often and for a long time to come. After a week of use I’m convinced that any other air fryer will leave me lacking the versatility of this one. I definitely recommend giving this air fryer a try. You won’t be sorry.

I’m liking this air fryer a lot. It came very nicely packaged and they included a grill and metal skewers and a recipe book as a bonus!
Setting it up was easy. They recommend washing the inner pans and then doing a “test run” without any food. I definitely did that, as it got rid of any “new product” smell. Then I downloaded their app and set it up. At first you create an account, then you have to connect to the wifi network the fryer creates. From there you can enter your home’s wifi credentials and you are done. Now the fryer connects to your home’s wifi. If you do so, the app will send you alerts whenever you are cooking (like an alert when preheating is done, if you need to shake-turn over your food, cooking done etc). You can also search recipes within the app itself.
I love that it has a preheating function, this helps the cooking process. It has several preset buttons for different types of food (each one you can customize to your liking, like the cooking time, temp) like meats, poultry, veggies, fries, fish etc. Some of them already have a shake alert, that will let you know halfway that you have to shake your food for even cooking. It’s highly recommended that you oil up your food a little bit, or even better you can use a spray can of oil, which is what I do. Anything you can fry with oil, you can fry with this air fryer, cutting down on unhealthy oils. I have done asparagus, fries, breaded chicken breasts and so far all of them have come out amazing, highly recommend it if you want to eat healthy!
Finally, I love that the inner pans detach, for a very easy cleaning. They are machine wash ok, however I highly recommend you hand wash the pans, they are easy to clean as they are non stick. If you hand wash them gently they will last you forever! They are plenty big to, tons of space for food! I was also nicely surprised they include a set of metal skewers and the grill stand they go on as a bonus, I’m definitely going to fry me some yummy chicken breasts and veggies skewers!
Get it and start eating healthy!

I have actually looked forward to writing this review for the Cosori Pro Gen2 5.8 Smart Air Fryer because it is one of those rare products that not only delivers everything it claims, but more as well.
As I unpacked the box, I was impressed with how well it was packed. There was more than enough packing to keep it safe during shipping, but the designers actually went the extra mile to make sure that any punctures or such like would not affect the product itself. Everything was packed in a well-thought-out manner…first the top layer of packing along with the warranty, Quick Start Guide, an extremely useful Quick Reference Guide (which gives you not only suggested cooking times for certain types of foods, but also how to preheat, but also proper placement of foods inside the basket, how to easily and properly bread certain foods, and even how to adapt regular over recipes for the air fryer!) and a 128-page recipe book! The recipes aren’t just run of the mill boring recipes either! Seriously, everything from Sausage-stuffed Mushrooms and Cajun-Blackened Catfish to Ginger Blueberry Scones! So many of these I never thought possible to cook in an air-fryer. But then again, the Cosori Air Fryer is not your everyday air fryer!
The rest of the unpacking was simple, so next was reading the quick-start guide. Of course, the first thing was to make sure all the packing tape was removed, and then give the unit a quick cleaning. This was easy enough…the cleaning involves nothing more than you would expect to give any new appliance.
After cleaning, when the unit is ready to start using, Cosori recommends giving the unit a good trial run. This involves two test runs, one for five minutes and the other for six minutes. This not only makes sure the unit is working correctly, but allows the user to become a bit familiar with how to actually operate the unit once he/she is ready.
Next comes the “smart” part. Seeing how this is a smart air-fryer, it is necessary to connect the unit to your wi-fi AFTER downloading the VeSync app. Now, part of writing an honest review is to also mention anything “negative” about the product. This was a frustrating experience for me. The app itself was easy enough to download, but it several attempts of going through the initial setup before i was finally able to get it to connect. I was almost tempted to simply NOT use the unit as a smart device, but like I said, it finally did connect. I don’t have any idea what the issue was, and it may have been something I wasn’t doing correctly. But I guess all that matters is that it did connect. There is also the option to connect to Alexa. No matter what I tried to do, Alexa absolutely would not enable the VeSync skill. I wasn’t able to find out anything online, and the Amazon rep was completely unable to help, so at this point I am limited to using the smart function via the phone app only. Now, of all the things regarding the “smart” feature, this is probably the most aggravating. I have read ad re-read the instructions, but in order to use the app, you must still manually push the start button on the unit itself. I have tried to reason this out as to why it is designed that way, but the reasoning completely eludes me. Safety, in case you accidentally start cooking via the app?? I don’t know. And like I said, I feel I must include this point in this review.
After looking through several of the recipes in the amazing recipe book, I chose to start with a simple grilled cheese sandwich. I never in a thousand years would have thought it was possible to do this in an air fryer, but the Cosori handled it like a pro. You make it just like you would if you were going to cook it on the stove, including buttering both sides of the bread. I then decided on garlic toast. This too turned out deliciously! The bread comes out perfectly toasted with the absolute right amount of crunch. BUT THE SECRET LIES IN PREHEATING. Cosori recommends preheating before cooking everything, and in order to achieve a perfect dish, it is important to follow this suggestion. Otherwise, as I discovered on my first attempt at a grilled cheese, it just doesn’t turn out the way you want. Preheating makes all the difference.
I am looking forward to this coming weekend and trying out the included skewers on the include rack. I have a feeling I am going to be in for an exquisitely wonderful surprise, especially if my first two dishes are any indication!! And this brings me to mention just how large the 5.8 quart basket really is! It will make cooking for my family quick and easy!
I love the quick disconnect feature which allows the user to disconnect the basket easily for cleaning. There is a button cover that the user must actually push forward to use this function, and is very smart feature on Cosori’s part. I can only imagine the possible disasters if the button wasn’t covered and the user pushed it! Thank you Cosori!
All in all this is the best air fryer I have ever owned, in spite of the difficulty in connecting to wi-fi and not being able to pair with Alexa. Neither of these issues affects the cooking experience, and seeing the multitude of recipes included in the included recipe book, this is going to be a real game-changer in my life. I absolutely did not know just how versatile the Cosori Air Fryer truly is.
There is no other air fryer on the market that I would ever recommend more highly than the Cosori Pro Gen2 5.8qt Smart Air Fryer, and will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family. Do yourself a huge favor and get one. You will definitely be glad you did!

This is the perfect air fryer for a single guy up to 3 people. Of course what was the first thing I cooked, cheese sticks of course. My buddies came over and we tried it out. Perfect, almost as perfect as deep fried.
The Cosori-Pro Gen 2 is a great little machine. Probably the best part is the shake reminder, it ensures you get evenly cooked fries and other things that you need to be crispy. I even tried the brussel sprout recipe, yeah, they turned out awesome. Inside the box you get a user guide, recipe ideas and a quick/faq guide. That combined with the VeShync app and you have great tools to never have to turn on your oven again, unless you are cooking for a party, even then this little thing is a great tool.
After cooking clean up is very simple, the vented basket separates from the bowl. Both are teflon/non stick and clean up is a breeze. The button to separate the baskets is protected by a clear plastic slide to prevetnt an accidental press, not sure that is the best option but we will see how it holds up. The ONLY complaint I have is that the bowl has a lot of little areas where water takes forever to drip out of and when you wash/rinse to use for another part of the same meal it can get messy.

So I’ve used this Cosori Smart Air fryer for a few meals, and it is a fairly good and intuitive appliance. It’s functionality and design are nice, with the brushed satin black exterior, and well thought out user interface. Though, it is still the exact same design as almost every single air fryer. Coil on top with a fan that flows down and circulates air out the back. I took a star off due to how they vent this. It goes straight back, which is annoying as it just heats up the underside of my cabinets and wall. I had another brand that vented it up. That one I could put under my range hood and it vented perfect without all the extra heat in the house that these produce. The app is nice, you’re able to set the temp and time, as well as getting access to basic cooking instructions per certain meals. Overall, it’s completely unnecessary, as you end up having to put it in anyways and set the time. I suppose it could have some use I’m stopping something from overcooking, but realistically, even there you’ll want to check the food prior to stopping. Ultimately, it’s a lazy way to sit on the couch and check how much time is left on whatever it is that you’re cooking, but I would never advocate for leaving any appliance unattended. So again, a useless feature to me. What really sells this is the design, for those that are tired of basic black and/or stainless. Otherwise, it blends in with a highly saturated market of like air fryers.

Pro:
-Quick and easy to cook with
-Control through app or Alexa
Con:
-Buttons sometimes won’t register presses
-Cleaning
Cooking was quick and easy. The presets already provide a good starting point for the different meats. The base defaults and the suggested settings in the quick guide tend to over cook and I had to adjust the time about 2-3 mins less. Once I got familiar with the timing, it cooked well. The basket is big enough for about 15 wings in a single layer, and deep enough for a bag of fries. I did notice that the touch buttons sometimes won’t register when I press it. It’s not a big deal, but I wonder how it’ll hold up long term.
Cleaning, while not difficult, is a bit tricky. The basket has angled vents so it could only be cleaned in one direction and scrubbing it clean is more difficult. For the inside of the fryer, there’s no easy way to clean it, so you’ll just have to reach in and wipe it clean. After some time, I can see grease will start to build up and there won’t be a way to clean it, but that’s true for most air fryers.
The smart features allows you to control the fryer via the app or connect it to Alexa to use voice control. You can’t start the fryer with them, for safety reasons, but you can monitor the time, pause, and change the temperature. When using the app and you put the phone to sleep, there’s a delay before it connects with the fryer again. The app also has recipes. When connected to Alexa, the voice commands conflicted with another appliance so I ended up not using it.
All in all, it’s a fine air fryer. It doesn’t have any other heating features other than frying, but it cooks just fine once you get used to the settings. The presets take out most of the guesswork for temperature and cooking time. The smart features lets you monitor and control it with the app, and you can control it with your voice, but it’s not something I would use heavily.

Air Fryers have been out for a while now. They help keep food crispy with less oil and nearly as much taste compared to deep fried food. This one adds an extra connection to the standard appliance: WifFi!
As an Air Fryer, it does a good job. Foods come out cooked evenly. I prepared a variety of frozen foods and they all cooked through without any cool spots. It was fast as well. There’s an option to pre-heat the Fryer, which saves some time in cooking, but not enough if you already have the food prepped.
There’s a few things which make this more convenient than the air fryer my parents have:
The food basket is square instead of round. This allows more food to fit in a layer and to allow more space between the foods. There are fins around the outside to direct the airflow all around.
The basket stays locked to the food drawer when serving. They can be separated after it all cools for easy cleaning. Both are made with non-stick metal
There’s a “keep warm” function which helps when not all your food is ready at the same time. The fryer displays 170 degrees which is warm enough that the food stays crispy without cooking it further.
Setting the time and temperature are fairly easy. There’s an app which allows for saving recipes and quickly setting the fryer to the right time and temperature. The fryer communicates back when food is ready or ready to be shaken halfway through the cycle. There’s also several presets for various foods which can help when you’re in a hurry. Per the manual, these presets can be updated to YOUR favorite recipes. Unfortunately, I never was able to get that feature to work.
The size is just right for my family of 4. Especially with the squared off basket, I can fit the tater tots, chicken nuggets, french fries, or egg rolls that I need. There are presets for bacon, shrimp, chicken, steak, vegetables, and more. I hope to expand beyond frozen, prepared foods after a while. Especially during the summer, it looks to be more energy efficient and it won’t heat up the kitchen as much as using the big oven. It’s also nice that it automatically shuts off to prevent over cooking the food.
It’s non-stick surface is easy to clean up with a bit of soap and water. I haven’t had to scrub anything, despite the heat being on the side of oven temperatures. Just wait until after you eat for it to cool off. The manual says it’s dishwasher safe. Personally, I just hand wash things that big as they take up too much space in the rack, especially since it’s so easy. The heating element is directly exposed. Over time, it has the potential to pick up some grease from the foods. This should be minimal as the fan is above the element and the air pushes any oil down into the pan.
Overall, it works really well. I wouldn’t buy it just for the WiFi, as that doesn’t add much to the experience. It does hurt though, and it supports the other functions. If it hadn’t advertised being able to re-set the presets, it wouldn’t have bothered me. As is, I don’t like when promises aren’t delivered on. Since it’s WiFi connected, I’m hoping a future firmware upgrade will allow the controls to work as intended and this can become all that it can be.

I love to cook! My Cosori has become one of my favorite appliances to enhance my meals. I wasn’t sure when I ordered it what to expect. My husband said we would only use it to reheat pizza! That’s only one of many things we use it for, but, I’ll admit it is the best way to reheat pizza!

Loved this airfryer, had this one as a replacement to another brand. Then upgraded to the toaster oven airfryer. Absolutely love.
Realmoflo –
Great air fryer. Does everything well. WiFi connectivity is Definitely a plus and easy setup and user friendly.
Vincent –
I’ve never been someone who spent much time in the kitchen and my cooking skills extend as far as pressing buttons on my microwave. But since getting my Cosori I’ve found myself diving down the rabbit hole of cooking and enjoying myself immensely! I fully credit the ease and consistency that my air fryer lends. At 55 years old I’ve discovered that old dogs can learn new and delicious tricks! I don’t even have to press any buttons, just ask my smart device to “Cook at 370 degrees for 7 minutes” and I’m up and away.
