KeithW –
Easy to set up and operate. It is quiet and has amazing suction
Pasq –
The vacuum has power to sock everything in its way, even its sock and damage the power cord attached to it.
JamesH –
Vacuum is great! Amazing suction, it cleans well, and it keeps dust out of the air! It is very versatile as well!
Pbadmin –
Great vacuum for all your needs. I highly recommend it. It’s bagless, powerful and lightweight. I like that it’s corded as well as cordless vacuums don’t last as long on a single charge and are not as powerful.

I have been looking for a vacuum with a dual function, attachments and clean the floor. we have 2 cats who shed a bit and this has made a huge improvement in the upkeep with the hair. the attachments are easy to use and it has a lot of suction. it cleans the area rugs quite well and the hard wood. It is easy to push and the cord is long so i can vacuum a whole without unplugging. I have the vacuum for almost a month now, and I am still pleased. would definitely recommend to a friend.

The best vacuum I’ve bought in a long time. I’ve always bought cheap but decided to buy the best. It is worth it
NoraH –
Good vacum, works well. Easy assembly. Light weight
LarryP –
We really like this vacuum. We never really thought it would be that great on hard wood floors, but it turns out that’s where this thing shines. Very impressed by how well it’s able to capture dirt and pet fur even from the corners of the room. And the self-cleaning brushroll works well, too. We have a dog with long fur and have only had to pull hair from the roller once, and even then it wasn’t causing it to stop working properly or anything.

Great vacuum so power full works with any type of floor
RamsyS –
Awesome! Best vacuum i’ve ever owned. This is the 3rd shark vacuum ive owned and it the best of them all.

Coming from a Dyson Ball Animal 3, no longer have to clean the hair from the rollers, suction as strong as Dyson, cleans just as well without the hassel of cutting all the hair off the rollers. The light on the Shark is an added bonus.

The best vacuum I ever purchased! It actually picks up items from wood floors on the first pass. Really like the two separate speed settings for hard floors and carpet. Brushroll pulls vacuum forward on the carpet with little effort. Very easy to pull back as well. Hand vacuum tool function is very well thought out and functional.

I purchased approximately 18 months ago. We used the vacuum for about 6 months when the rotating head motor stopped working. It was not covered by the warranty. I had to pay $150.00 for a new head. Now, last week the suction motor stopped working. It is also not covered by the warranty. None of the mechanical parts are covered red by the warranty.
I live in a 1500 square foot home with 2 carpeted bedrooms, the carpet is low pile Berber carpet. The rest of the home hardwood floors. We have no pets and 1 kid. We always take our shoes off when entering the home. This is a very clean home.
Shark and Best Buy do not want to honor their product, just sell extended warranties.

Powerful vacuum for home use. Had it for about a year and no issues!

This is a lovely machine, my wife has muscular dystrophy and the self propelled system helps her greatly. The suction power is great and really makes cleaning floors and easy chore.

I had a Dyson and this is lighter and more versatile.as far as cleaning goes I think it picks up better than my Dyson did.
lolabrown –
A bit heavy to push and lift .Does a decent job . Like the fact it’s does not have the bristle brush .and the smaller brush attachment. Time will tell how long the silicone roller will hold up .
Chump –
Great vacuum for the money! Have had many shark vacuums in the past, this one by far has been nothing but awesome! Easy clean and use! Best bang for your buck
RhiannonD –
Has been an absolute dream! Lives up to the label for pet hair and much more lightweight than our old one!
SDubs24 –
Love this vacuum! Gets all the animal hair and doesn’t get wrapped around the roll bar! Light weight! I really like it!
PatriciaT –
Powerhouse!! Never realized how much cat hair was locked in my carpet until the Shark clear canister revealed a shocking amount. That sold this clean freak! It definitely does the job!!
Aaaa –
Love this vacuum! Have two dogs that she’d like crazy and never had a problem.
LoriFrer –
Works good. The cord gets in my way a bit. Otherwise, suction is good.
TammyF –
This lightweight & powerful vacuum was a great choice for our home, which has hardwood, low pile rugs, and a bit of carpet. It is surprisingly powerful and has removed much more pet hair than our last vacuum, and the lift off feature is a bonus. Would recommend.
MonicaK –
We love this product so far. The front roller does an amazing job of dusting the floor. It’s an easy clean each time. This product is a breeze to disassemble when cleaning stairs or hard to reach places. Highly recommend!
Cali –
Love this vacuum! I did quite a bit of research and comparing when buying this and it has not disappointed. Lightweight and easy to manage.
MonicaH –

I am amazed how much hair comes out of my carpet every time I use it!

My favorite vacuum I’ve ever had! So easy to clean and amazing on hard wood and carpet.

I bought my Shark Rotator Lift Away LA502 vacuum in November 2023. I have used it once to vacuum 4,000 sf of house that includes standard carpet, low pile rugs, hardwood, and tile floors. It has performed perfectly on all the surfaces. I’m giving the Rotator LA 502 five stars. Here are some specifics.
Pro’s
• Assembly is easy, you simply snap four parts together.
• The entire vacuum is light weight for an upright, weighing only 12 lbs – one of the reasons I bought it.
• The brush action and suction are super at pulling dirt and lint, etc. out of the carpet. I vacuumed regularly with my old Hoover upright and was amazed at how much dirt I got on my first pass with the Shark. Truly impressive.
• It moves easily back and forth across the carpet. The brush system actually gives it some forward self-propelled motion which is nice. Pulling it back against that motion is easy.
• The brushes turn off when the handle is put in the vertical position so there is no rug burn.
• The head pivots up and down and side to side which makes it very easy to maneuver into corners and tight spaces.
• The head is low enough to fit completely under the overhang of my bottom kitchen cabinets.
• The cord is long enough to cover a good distance before unplugging and replugging.
• The push button releases for the canister and the wand/handle are easy to use as is the one to dump out the contents of the canister.
• The wand/handle is long enough when removed from the unit to easily reach the edge around a baseboard or up to an 8 ft. ceiling. The unit stays upright and does not fall over.
• The power switch that selects hard floor and carpet is conveniently located, no need to do anything to the vacuum head itself.
• The vacuum is not noisy like my old Hoover that required ear plugs.
• The crevice and brush attachments are stored on board the unit.
Con’s
These are relatively minor criticisms.
• The pedal that releases the body of the vacuum to tilt back is also used to release the entire canister section from the vacuum head so you can carry it around by itself. Several times I when I pushed down just to tilt the unit, it released itself entirely when I started vacuuming. That’s annoying.
• When I pushed down on the pedal to tilt the unit back to vacuum, it did not tilt back from the vacuum head on its own. I had to press the pedal slightly, then put my foot on the top of the vacuum head and pull the handle back down to tilt it. The vacuum head is not heavy enough and just lifts off the floor otherwise. It’s a quirk you get used to and perhaps the price I pay for a lighter vac. At first I thought the unit was defective for not tilting.
• The cord seems to get in the way more than usual. There is a small clip on the back of the handle to keep the cord raised up, but the cord constantly comes loose from it. I tried securing the cord to the clip only to discover that I could not lift the wand out of the unit because the cord was holding it down. Still looking for a good fix for this.
• The vacuum head is not as wide as the old Hoover. I wish it had another two inches of width. The smaller head makes it easy to vacuum in smaller spaces, but it also means more passes over a large area.
• The handle is very slightly ribbed and the way I grab it, those ribs rub my hand a bit. If I keep my thumb on the little spot for it on top of the handle, that prevents the rubbing, but it is not the way I normally grip a handle.

We had one but the front brush had an issue. Thanks to Best buy Total Tech warranty it got replaced! No issues!

The store staff recommended the the Shark brand over the other brands. My wife has been very happy with the vacuum.

Things I like about this vacuum are easy maneuverability, powerful suction, hardwood vs carpet floor modes, brushless making it easy to maintain and not deal with hairy mess. Things I feel could have been better are attachments that comes with the vacuum (only 1), more would have been nicer, less to no suction on the sides leaving debris when running the vacuum parallel to the wall.
KarenW –
I love this vaccuum. Best I’ve ever had. This vaccuum actually pulls me across the rug the suction is so good! Easy to empty and clean.
CyberPC –
The best shark we have owned by far. This vacuum has enough power that my wife originally thought it was self propelled. The rollers are nice with easy access and they do not get wrapped in hair like our previous vacuums did. Worth every penny and if and when it fails I hope they still offer this model.
HopeT –
Great suction. I have 2 dogs that sheds and it has been almost 1 year and it still is working nicely. The detached arm is convenient for reaching all high ceilings and narrow spaces. Mostly, I love how easy it is to pour out the debris into the trash.
Would highly recommend this vacuum to all consumers.
Haymaker –
The cord is roughly 2 feet shorter (guessing) than my previous Shark & it is attached to the body w/out supplemental support, so that it drops & often in the way no matter what. So changing outlets more often is fun. To adjust from carpet to floor, you must bend over/reach canister. Same with power, which was better on the actual handle. All parts are thinner, cheaper, and do not feel made to last. It sounds like a garbage disposal. These are all first-world problems, but for $300 I’d expect some thought put into it’s design & by someone who has actually used a vacuum. The suction is great though, so if you’ve a house full of Huskies maybe the rest won’t matter.

Shark Vacuum Easy how to used and reliable when you clean everywhere in the house

Love Shark products! We have large breed long hair dog and vacuum three or four times a week. This vacuum does a great job on pet fur .
NancyC –
Best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned. I’ve gone through lots of different models that haven’t been able to keep up with my two dogs and three cats, This Shark is up to the challenge. It’s powerful and handles well. What I really love about it is that you can break it apart very easily to remove anything jammed anywhere on the machine, and it snaps back together in seconds. I also like the large dust cup, which empties at the push of a button without making a mess. Another plus — the rollers haven’t jammed once which is miraculous given the amount of hair shed by my dogs and cats.

I love this vacuum and it’s the best purchase I ever made! Especially because I’m 4’11! It adds height literally! I can clean my ceiling ! Lol
PennyS –
Love this vacuum, would not trade it for anything! Suction is great. I resumed after using a different vacuum cleaner and this one picked up more!

As above – 5/5 rating based on price to value ratio. Would def buy again. Will see how it withstands time.
KimberlyP –
After much research, I never thought to buy a Shark product. But the reviews were great and thought we’d try it out. So far, its been a great vacuum
Dadof3 –
Very impressed with this unit.
Had a Dyson before and I would say about the same quality for less money
JustOldBob –
So far works fine, except it won’t go under beds. I am still playing with it trying to learn exactly what it does. I have not figured out IF the bulky things come off and still has electricity to the bottom section that goes on the floor???
